Dr. Bauman received his DDS degree from the University of Maryland in 1985 and completed a General Practice Residency in Jerusalem, Israel. He also holds an MS degree in Health Administration from Towson University.
He served on the faculty of the University of Maryland Dental School for 25 years, and recently retired from teaching as an Associate Professor. In addition, Dr. Bauman has participated in numerous scientific studies, has been published in several journals and has lectured nationally and internationally. Dr. Bauman's specific interests include cosmetic restorations and the treatment of patients with special needs. Dr. Bauman is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists as well as an Associate Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Dr. Bauman has trained with some of the world's most prominent dental specialists. Dr. Bauman can offer treatments in Cosmetic Dentistry, Implant Dentistry, Sedation Dentistry and now Same Day Computer Designed Crowns as well as many other high level cutting edge treatments.
Vicki comes to us after an illustrious career as an Office Manager in Dermatology. Although new to the dental profession, she has brought those same caring qualities which she displayed in the medical field to our practice. You will always be greeted by Vicki's sparkling smile when you enter our office. In her spare time, Vicki enjoys hiking and traveling to exotic locales and spending time with her husband, Chris, and their three daughters.
Melanie is the longest serving staff member on our team. We have to be careful not to call her the oldest member of our team. Melanie graduated from Baltimore City Community College almost 30 years ago with a degree in Dental Hygiene and has been at the Baltimore Center of Advanced Dentistry for 25 years. Additionally she has a degree in Community Health from Towson University. Melanie is passionate about her work and takes pride in the wonderful care she provides. She is dedicated to our patients, many of whom she has treated for years, and treats all of her patients with respect and compassion. Melanie enjoys reading and traveling. She lives in Baltimore County with her husband, Milton and has three grandchildren.
Christine has been in the Dental Assisting field for over 30 years. She brings to the Baltimore Center of Advanced experience in Oral Surgery, General Dentistry and Pediatric Dentistry. In particular, Christine is wonderful at relaxing patients who may be uncomfortable in the dental chair. Her empathetic manner places all who come in contact with her at ease. Christine has become the Chief Designer for our state of the art Same Day Crowns program. Christine is married to her husband Richard and has two wonderful children.
Carol is the newest member of our dental team. Carol comes to us with over 30 years of experience learning about and working in all aspects of General Dentistry with specialties in Periodontal Treatment and Oral Surgery. Carol is known for making patients feel at ease with her comforting banter and soothing care. Carol is married to Timothy and has three grown children and two grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys camping and quilting.

Great dentistry. Super helpful staff. Vicki at the front desk goes out of her way to answer questions and get you the information you need. The consult process is really neat. You get to see your teeth from the dentist point of view. Very detailed explanations of the work that they think should be done. No need to fear if you have any kind of dental anxiety.

I've been going here for years. Shany is always courteous, professional, and attentive. Dr. Bauman always has a positive attitude. I never had any problem with billing or scheduling either.

If you are like me and have been avoiding the dentist due to anxiety or a bad gag reflex, contact these people immediately. They are every bit as wonderful as their ads and the other reviews suggest. I only wish I had contacted them sooner; I might have saved myself some tooth damage. Even dealing with an emergency I stupidly brought upon myself, they were great, and I plan on being a patient there for the rest of my life.

Dr Bauman has to be the best dentist that I have ever had in my life. I used to be so scared of the dentist and he makes you feel so comfortable with any procedure that needs to be done. The whole office makes you feel not only welcomed but like your more than just another patient. There will never be another dentist for me. Dr Bauman don't retire!!! You're the best.

I went to Dr. Bauman after having a problem with my current dentist. From my first visit Dr. Bauman and his staff put me at ease. This was like no dentist visit i ever had. They were very caring and explained everything to me in great detail. I had my first (and hopefully only) root canal and i must say i was a little apprehensive from the stories I heard. When I sat in the chair he said everything I ever heard about root canals was a lie and he was right. I didnt feel a thing! I am looking forward to my follow up visits! Can you say that about your dentist?

My family and I have been going to Dr. Gary Bauman's practice for nearly 20 years, and find him and his team to be simply the very best dental practice that we've ever dealt with. Besides being a genuinely wonderful man who deeply cares about his patients, he has a knack for hiring the most talented assistants and staff. They all seem to truly care about their patients and one another, and every person there goes out of their way to make sure you have a comfortable, pleasant experience. Most people don't enjoy undergoing any kind of dentistry, but each of us knows that we need the care. At Dr. Bauman's office, you're treated with courtesy, professionalism, and an extraordinary level of skill. The office is highly modernized with all the latest technology and techniques, and everyone that we have ever referred to him comes back to say that he's the best dentist that they've ever been to. Make sure to go early enough to treat yourself to his amazing massage chair before your appointment! There may be practices as good as this somewhere else, but I'm positive that there are none better.
