Born in New York, Dr. Holly Baller moved to Aurora, CO during high school and has resided in the community ever since. She graduated from the University of Colorado magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry, with distinct honors. While obtaining her undergraduate degree, she worked in a private orthodontic practice, which began her passion for dentistry and orthodontics. Following her passion, Dr. Baller was accepted to her alma mater, the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Go Buffs!

After Dr. Baller received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery, she joined the orthodontic practice, where she had worked while attending school. She helped forge the path for orthodontics as a paradigm shift was happening related to myofunction, airway and orthodontics, and whole-body wellness. Several of her cases were published in the book, The NEO Way.

Dr. Baller is fastidious about pursuing the most state-of-the-art advancements in dentistry and technology. She strives to constantly learn through hundreds of continuing education hours every year. In order to pursue a fellowship in implant dentistry, Dr. Baller completed a year-long implant continuum through The International Dental Implant Association. With her in-depth knowledge in these areas, she is widely sought-after as a consultant by dentists and orthodontists throughout the country.

Being a dentist is more than just cleaning teeth and performing big procedures, it means being someone that my patients can trust and lean on for years to come. I know that going to the dentist can be intimidating and my goal is to eliminate that negative stigma and fear.As a result, I have created a comfortable space for patients and a clinic where art meets science. Since my first day in practice, it has been my priority to take the time to attentively listen and maintain transparency while my patients walk through their concerns.

'Building deep-rooted relationships not only creates long term dental health but more importantly it provides peace of mind.I say this because the people I see every day are not just patientsI regard them as family.

Beyond serving the community at Baller Dental & Orthodontics at Southlands, Dr. Holly has been married for ten years and has three active boys and her Sheepadoodle Officer Banx. Dr. Holly is passionate about fitness, health, and giving back to the community.

Dr. Baller is a member of theRocky Mountain Alliance Children's Foundation (RMA), a local non-profit organization with a mission to improve the lives and well-being of Denver-area children in need. Run by budding female philanthropists, RMA simultaneously develops professional young women who work together to impact their community.

Dr. Holly Baller is passionate about helping her patients live their best lives by improving their oral health. Tooth loss robs you of comfort and function and drains your confidence, but dental implants can help you get them all back.

Why? An implant is a prosthetic tooth consisting of an artificial tooth root and the crown that shows when you smile. In other words, dental implants look, feel, and function just like a natural tooth.

Dentures and bridges are excellent solutions, but implants are considered a healthier option because they replace the missing tooth root. This is crucial because its the presence of the root that stimulates the regeneration of bone in your jaw.

When tooth loss occurs, bone regeneration ceases, and the jawbone begins to break down. Without a dental implant, this can lead to additional tooth loss, and the deterioration of the jawbone also causes a change in your facial contours.

The procedure takes about an hour and is much more comfortable than people might think. Once we numb the area with powerful local anesthetics, you wont feel anything but some slight pressure. If you still feel apprehensive, please tell us so we can offer you nitrous oxide or oral sedation.

We allow your implant to heal over several months, during which a process called osseointegration occurs. Over time, the biocompatible dental implant gradually fuses with the bone and tissue surrounding it and ultimately becomes a permanent part of your dental anatomy, just as your real tooth root was.

After the dental implant has healed completely, our Aurora dentist will restore it with a beautiful customized dental crown. She would recommend a bridge or partial denture for multiple teeth, and if you are missing all your upper or lower teeth (or both), full implant dentures are the right choice.

Dr. Baller would place four to six dental implants along your jawbone and design your customized dentures to snap onto them. The result is dentures that stay securely in place no matter how hard you laugh or sneeze and can only be removed by your dentist.

With state-of-the-art 3-D cone beam imaging technology, we can determine if the jawbone in the area is sufficiently strong and healthy. If not, you may be a candidate for a bone grafting procedure. Likewise, if anatomical structures like your sinuses inhibit implant placement, there is a procedure called a sinus lift that may work for you.

At Baller Dental & Orthodontics at Southlands, Dr. Baller and her team derive enormous pleasure from seeing the delighted faces of patients who have just completed dental implant therapy. We would love to help you experience that same transformation that we know will enrich your life and allow you to smile confidently again.
