This experience shaped my entire career and inspired me to become an endodontist, myself. I earned my DDS at the University of Maryland, and completed two residencies in Brooklyn, New York (where I met my husband) and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After completing dental school and beginning to treat patients, I realized my tooth story was not entirely unique. I kept seeing the same issues over and over again with my patients and I knew I needed to open a practice dedicated to saving natural teeth. I opened Ballantyne Endodontics in Charlotte, North Carolina, and I have become board certifiedan accomplishment less than 15% of endodontists in the U.S. can claim. In fact, I was the first female board-certified endodontist in Charlotte.

After my own dental history, I see myself as more than a diagnostician and technician for my patients. I am their dental health counselor and advisor. I take extra time with them to make sure I understand their complaints. I walk them through my recommendations and everything they can expect from the treatment, so they can be empowered, knowledgeable, and calm.

I believe in sharing knowledge with the dental community, because this ultimately serves patients better. Thats why Ive created E-School, the first online endodontics course of its kind, teach dental residents at my local medical center, and regularly speak at professional events. I also am co-founder of A Night for Smiles, an annual gala bringing Charlotte-area dentists together to support dental health initiatives.

I am proud to be partnering with Dr. Chopra, who shares my dedication to patient-centered care, careful problem solving and the use of proven, leading-edge technology that enables us to provide our patients with the most successful outcomes possible.

After years spent living and practicing in Nevada, Im enjoying the Charlotte weather, people, and lifestyle. I enjoy my time outside of the office with my wife and three children. Some of my hobbies include cooking, traveling, and staying fit.

Ballantyne Endodontics - Endodontist in Charlotte, NC

Dr. Tanya Reiters dental education began at the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, where she finished in the top 10% of her class. The technology-driven curriculum at the University of Maryland Dental School prepared her early adoption of cutting-edge techniques. After graduating, she was accepted into a general practice residency at the VA in Aspinwall, PA, for a year of humbling service to our nations heroes. Her experience and the rewarding feeling of helping the veterans save their natural teeth, fueled her desire to specialize in Endodontics. She spent a year acquiring real-world skills in general dentistry prior to accepting a position at the University of Pittsburgh Endodontic Residency Program. Here she became experienced in high-level endodontic therapies.

She focuses on a comprehensive, patient-centered treatment style and brings unsurpassed passion to every one of her cases. While she enjoys all aspects of endodontic therapy, she really excels in the surgical treatments and is the go-to for them at Ballantyne Endodontics. Since graduating, she continually advances her knowledge and stays up-to-date with new techniques in her field.

Dr. Reiter spent her early childhood in Toronto. It was here that she was introduced to ice hockey at the age of five. If you can believe it, she continued to play competitive travel hockey until her college years. She once skated at the Verizon Center during half time of a Washington Capitals game!

In dental school she met her husband, Logan. He had always dreamt of living in the Carolinas from fond childhood memories. Finally in 2018, her and her husband moved to the Charlotte area and she started her dream job at Ballantyne Endodontics! They just welcomed their first baby girl, Finnley Brooke in August, 2019.

When Dr. Reiter is not at the office she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. She has a passion for traveling the world. Her most memorable trips include a trip to Hiroshima, Japan and visiting one of the seven world wonders, Petra in Jordan.

Excellent patient care. I listened to relaxing music of my choice while the root canal was being done. The procedure was done thoroughly and smoothly using advanced technology that amazed me. Dr. Chopra found an additional tooth that is infected and also needs a root canal. This was very lucky for me because I don't need to lose a front tooth. Although I experienced some pain in my gums after the procedure, it was minimal, and I was given good follow-up instructions, as well as a follow-up telephone call the next day to see how I was doing. I highly recommend this endodontist and her practice, which in addition includes very friendly supportive staff.

The best experience I've ever had while having my teeth worked on. The front staff is amazing, helpful, and really kind. The endo did a root canal treatment and I felt zero discomfort from the beginning to the end of the procedure. Honestly, this was the best experience I've ever had, and root canals are horrible. They were able to fit me quicker than 25 other practices I called, and helped me manage the pain with steroids and antibiotics after consultation and before my treatment.

I went to Ballantyne after a tooth needed a third treatment. I could not have asked for better treatment. In the preliminary appointment I learned 40% of their business is fixing root canals done by others. My actual treatment told me why! Other than the novocaine, I didn't feel a thing, I watched a movie and didn't notice much of anything!!! 5 stars is too low, more like 10!

Such a great experience! I was very nervous and already stressed about having a root canal done, especially since I recently had an implant on the opposite side. Ballantyne endodontic really explained everything from start to finish. The lady's are the front desk were very knowledgeable throughout the process with any questions I had. In addition, they not as costly has I excepted since I have maxed out my dental insurance. Overall, I would highly recommend Ballantyne Endodontics! Thank you so much.

I did received a great experience via bedside manner. I went for a root canal and was scolded for being late due to traffic (I was willing to reschedule) but still took me in. She treated that she would not finish my tooth cause she was behind so I was nervous. Due to me being anxious I had a bad case of lockjaw and my mouth had to be pry open. Which has never happened before goinv to the dentist. She then began to mock my feelings and stated that I was being too sensitive. In which it was a scary procedure. The pulp was filled but im still having issues. It is a beautiful office but not a friendly office.

This place is it! I was received like a prince and treated like a king. I watched a very interesting episode of "Our Great National Parks" in Netflix and started enjoying the "blood diamond" movie when I realized that they were done with my root canal.

I was very nervous about having a root canal and I was looking for a place that had good reviews. I met with Dr Tridisi at my consultation and he was very knowledgeable and kind and I had Dr Reiter for my Root canal and she was super kind and funny. She answered all of my questions and was patient. The entire staff here is super nice and knowledgeable. I really never want to have another root canal but if I do I'll definitely be coming back here. Oh also, I got to watch New Girl on Netflix the whole time so that was a great distraction!

I had a serious issue when my filling fell out and was unable to get the tooth repaired right away. I was referred to this office for treatment of root canal. I had a great experience and honestly felt no pain. Thank you so much for treating me. Dr. Tadrissi explained everything clearly. This was such an embarrassing problem for a long time. I am glad this office helped me get healthy.

While the Doctors (Chopra) are excellent, the way the staff handles insurance is a farce. For my consultation, they failed to reveal my coverage was out of network and hit me for over $400. Clearly I went to another Endodontist for my procedure. I overheard other patients who were also having insurance issues caused by non-disclosure.

Dr. Chopra was absolutely amazing. She was very gentle and kind, and made sure my root canal was a seamless experience! It was so easy and even though they were out of network for me, it was seriously worth every penny!

Great Experience. I had been in a great deal of pain due to some questionable work done by my dentist. As it turns out, I needed two root canals. Dr. Reiter and the staff at Ballantyne Endodontics were professional and precise in identifying the problem and getting me out of pain quickly. With a little sedative I basically slept through both root canals with little-to-no discomfort. Immaculate office with state-of-the art equipment. Highly recommend.
