Christian Yaste, D.D.S. is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. In 1996, he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and completed a two-year postgraduate residency in Oral Medicine at The Carolinas Medical Center. Dr. Yaste is qualified in all areas of general dentistry but has also taken advanced training in cosmetic restorative procedures as well as full mouth rehabilitation. In addition he is board certified to provide sedation dentistry in North Carolina. Dr. Yaste is a national speaker and consultant for several dental manufacturers and has been published in multiple dental journals. Recently he and his partner authored the book, 'Open Your Mouth! How the Right Conversations with Your Dentist Can Change Your Life.'

In Dental School Dr. Yaste had a bike accident that left him with several broken off front teeth and cuts to his face and mouth. Immediately after the accident, he found himself being rushed through the process of a dental emergency that left him scared with dental phobia. It was at this point that he almost quit dental school, not being able to imagine a career of making people uncomfortable. Instead he, and his partner Dr. Joe, embarked on a mission to find ways to make dentistry comfortable for their patients. His experience has made him more empathetic to the needs of his patients and helped develop the vision behind the Charlotte Dental Implant Solutions.

Dr. Yaste is married and has two children. His parents and siblings live in North Carolina and he enjoys visiting together with them frequently. He is a motorcycle and car enthusiast and also enjoys mountain and road biking, camping, fishing, Spartan races, reading and spending time with his children and wife. Dr. Yaste 's favorite food is Taco Bell! (hence his nickname at the office is 'docobell'.) His 'soul' purpose is serving others through dentistry and he has a passion for changing peoples lives through their smiles.

Dr. Grant Tesmer is a graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry located in Omaha, NE where he completed training in all aspects of general dentistry including an emphasis on cosmetics and oral surgery. Upon graduating, he sought more education involving dental implants and completed the American Academy of Implant Dentistrys Chicago MaxiCourse fellowship during his senior year of school.

Dr. Tesmer grew up in a household where serving people for the greater good came naturally as both of his parents were in the healthcare field. He pursued dentistry because he noticed that the patient experience in the dental chair was one of the most important in providing the best care possible. He wanted to help build confidence in patients' lives and allow their voices to be heard and acknowledged so there was no miscommunication along the way. Dr. Tesmer believes that serving those to the best of his ability means taking time to build trust and finding solutions to make them have a happier and healthier life. The experience he had during his dental mission trip to the Dominican Republic solidified how creating a beautiful smile not only changes a patients outlook on life but can have an immense impact that goes deeper than what the eyes can see. Dr. Tesmer loves what he does and hopes to continue to pass on what he was taught by his parents at a young age: Serve others before yourself.

Dr. Tesmers Nebraskan upbringing kept him in the Midwest ever since he was 5 years old and now he has brought his talents to Charlotte! Dr. Tesmer is the youngest of four siblings where swinging a tennis racquet at a young age was no surprise. He played Division 1 College Tennis so you might find him at a local public court bringing him back to his old roots - hell lace up his shoes and take on whatever you can bring! He enjoys traveling, rafting at the White Water Center, finding new music, and watching Husker football. He is proud to represent Ballantyne Center For Dentistry and looks forward to providing the best care possible to those in need.

Dr. Binns hails from the beautiful island of Bermuda and practiced there for 15 years before moving to the US to complete his training at Harvard.
