Dr. Richard Leeis a prosthodontist and implantologist who has been practicing dentistry since 1996. Dr. Lee received his training at the College of Dentistry at New York University. During his senior year at NYU, he was among those who were selected to take part in the intensive Fixed Prosthodontics Honor Program. After completing a one- year general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, he returned to NYU and pursued advanced training in dentistry. He received a certificate inAdvanced Postgraduate Studies in ProsthodonticsandSurgical Fellowship on Implant Dentistryat NYU. He also participated in various research projects and presented several clinical papers at various dental conferences. He is a recipient of theKlein Kicker Award for Outstanding Achievement, which is bestowed on those who complete specialty training in dentistry.
Dr. Lee, who also served as an assistant clinical professor in Dr. Tarnows Implant Department for 10 years, has been at the cutting edge of research and new developments in dentistry. He has relocated to the Bay Area after owning and operating a very successful specialty practice on Madison Avenue in New York City. When Dr. Lee is out of the office, he enjoys photography and traveling the world with his family. Some of Dr. Lees favorite travel destinations include Amsterdam, Italy, Turkey, Dubai, Cancun, Japan, and Hong Kong. Dr. Lee is multilingual and is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
Dr. Michael Chan is a general and cosmetic dentist who has been practicing dentistry since 2005. Dr. Chan received his training at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in California. Graduating in the top 10th percentile of his class, he was invited to the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. In addition to his degree, he completed a year residency program in implant dentistry at University of Toronto, Canada and furthered his professional development in advanced restorative dentistry at Kois Center in Seattle.
Dr. Chans patients find him to be dedicated to his craft, his professionalism, and most of all his understanding and enjoyment of serving the needs of his patients. He is multilingual and can speak Mandarin and Cantonese. When Dr. Chan is not attending to his patients needs, he enjoys scenic bike rides and tranquil hikes.

I have been coming to this office for over 10+ year now. Before when it was Dr Mercado, and now with Dr. Cheng. Great welcoming staff and the hygienists over the years have been great. I've never had an issue with billing, and the service I get has been great. Have been taking care of the entire family. My kids have no problem here and are not afraid of the dentist at all.

I've been coming to Balentine Plaza Dental Care for a few years now for cleans, check ups and *gulp* a cavity filling! There are a lot of dentists around the place and it can be hard to determine who's good, and who's not. So I'll give you a quick run down of my experience. 1) Scheduling They are very good with offering multiple dates and times, and will find something to fit your schedule. They are very communicative right up to your appointment to ensure you don't forget! (Guilty) They are open on Saturdays which is good for busy families but the do book up quickly! They are great either on the phone, in person, or with texting (I like that personally) - Crystal is a pro at follow up! 2) The Surgery It's clean, well presented, lively, and modern. There's a play room for kids, free decent coffee, and the waiting room has lots of natural light - not that you'll be sitting there for long! Parking is super easy, and the building is easy to find. The rooms are good, and they have tvs in each room for those who want to tune out (or can't talk because you have a mouthful of instruments) 3) The Admin Staff I've never been here and not been met with a happy and smiley face, a warm welcome, and a genuine interest in me. It's a good sign when the staff are happy to be there! :) 4) The Dentists and Techs I'm a doctor's kid so I've met my fair share of medical people. Not only is this team competent, but they are human! They don't treat you like a specimen, but are very good explaining what's going on, what they're going to do, and what it all means. They are very mindful of your comfort and even have numbing gels and stuff for big babies like me! Haha 5) The Experience I've been going here and been very happy. I like them and well, it's very good considering that I am still going to the dentist to be poked and prodded! On my recent visit which just happened to coincide with my birthday, I was handed an envelope. I assumed it was a generic corporate card so we exchanged pleasantries and I was on my way with clean teeth. However when I opened the envelope at home, I actually found a handwritten note with a personalized message from each staff member, and a Starbucks gift card. Now, having worked in advertising and product design for years, one could be cynical about this as a marketing ploy. However, when one also knows just how much work and effort is involved to not just say you care, but to do the actual work of showing it, it's only then you truly appreciate who is real, and who isn't. Marketing isn't the problem with companies - inauthenticity and pretense is. The card and gift was simply the final piece that showed me this business and group of people actually care about their work, their patients, and how people feel. Their marketing is authentic because they are. So, if you ever find a person let alone a business in life like that, be sure to keep them close because they are rare and valuable! Do yourself a favour and book an appointment!

I am so happy that I found Balentine Plaza Dental Care! I have moved from LA area to Fremont and was looking for a great dentist to take care of my 2 crowns, some fillings, routine checkups and other dental work. I have already gotten 2 crowns done and 2 cleanings and some fillings and I am very satisfied with the result. I really like Dr. Cheng, his beautiful wife Crystal and all the people who work there. They are always very friendly and caring. I had a few things go wrong with my schedule and my car and they were very understanding and sweet about it. I recommend everyone to try Dr. Cheng and his team for their dental care.

Dr. Cheng is absolutely my favorite dentist and I have had quite a few so I speak from experience. He got my teeth in really great shape and after a couple of decades of not having back molars, I allowed him to fit me for partial dentures and they work very well without too many adjustments. I had tried wearing partials before but they hurt and after numerous going back and forth for adjustments, I just stopped wearing them. He pulled a nub of a tooth and I barely felt it. Dr. Cheng totally debunks the horrible dental experience and I have no bad feelings about showing up for my dental appointments.

I was back and forth with other dentist near the area. Some of them weren't professional and legit telling my they will call me in a week and haven't taken any information from me or just told me to come in at a certain time. Be careful with these fakes . >_< Had a final choice on choosing the right one. Because my patients was running low and Balentine was my last choice. It worked for the best. I called and spoke to Crystal (She's so professional and friendly). Setting up an appointment was a breeze, she asked when,I told her sooner the better, she said come in an hour. Guys, I dropped everything and I was there in a heart beat. @_@ The office is cozy and inviting before when I walked in. Everyone was so cute and friendly I just want to hug them all. :o* Dr. Cheng was AWSOME!!!!.The procedure was smooth and painless and fast. I had my hands folded and on my lap, not strangling the arms on the chair. Almost fell asleep too :0) If you have kids, there's Wii games, movies, and books. You guys have to go there, it's theeeeee best! Book your next appointment with them when you can, but if you have a dentist, leave them. Thank You Balentine Plaza Dental Care!!!!! Can't Wait to Go Back! Peace2_Hearts&Kisses :OD

I have been going to Dr. Cheng to get my teeth cleaned for over a year. Every time, he answered my questions patiently, cleaned my teeth thoroughly, and overall made my visits very enjoyable. Dr. Cheng's a great guy. Highly recommend!
