Dr. Evelyn Ortiz-Castillo is an alumnusof the University of Florida where she completed a bachelor's degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition before earning her Degree of Dental Medicine from the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Since moving to Orlando in 2012, Dr. Ortiz-Castillo has taken an active role in local organized dentistry. She serves on the Dental Society of Greater Orlando's Board of Directors and is an Alternate Delegate for the Florida Dental Association's House of Delegates. She is also an active member of the Central Florida Occlusion Club, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and Central District Dental Association and is a volunteer dentist at the Dental Care Access Foundation (DCAF).

The staff at Baldwin park family dental is amazing. Doctor Ortiz bedside manner is one of a kind. If you have a fear of getting dental work done this is the place to go. There is a reason she is dentist of the year 2022. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Very nice staff. They are professional and make you feel comfortable. I get a bit nervous during procedures outside of a normal cleaning, but they listened to me and made sure to make me feel at ease.

I've had a great experience so far at this office. The staff are phenomenal -- especially Dani, Leilani, and Stassi (sorry if I misspelled their names!) -- and their leader -- Dr. Ortiz -- is incredibly skilled and knowledgeable. It feels good to finally find a great dentist.

I love Baldwin Park Family Dental! They have an awesome team. Liz is our family's hygienist and she is amazing!!! I see a lot of people complaining about time but I believe that as patients we need to be patient and know that just like in any other medical practice emergencies do arise. Doctor Ortiz is worth the wait! She is very caring and personable and I'd rather have that than someone with little to no bedside manner. I have a HUGE fear of needles and they always go above and beyond to make sure I am doing well. They even held my hand when I had to get numbed! Definitely recommend!

My dental hygienist and dentist are clearly experts in their fields. Moreover, they are kind and considerate, which goes a long way towards making the trip to the dentist pleasant.

Horrible experience. I booked an appointment for a crown weeks in advance so that I could have it done before traveling. After 1 hour of waiting for a 90 min appointment, they informed me they had no idea when the dentist would see me. Since I had to go to work and they have no other appointments, I am now looking for another dentist. No apology either

Great care and service as always! My only complaint was that mask wearing is not enforced and covid is still around, I'm a nurse and I don't want to get covid and have to miss work.

My back tooth was hurting so bad so I called the office and told them about it and asked if they could see me. They got me in for the next morning and they fixed the problem quickly and now it doesn't hurt!

Just an update from my below experience. Unfortunately, this office is always over booked. Even when you have an appointment you will likely be waiting in the chair for 45 min or more. I have even waited for an hour to be told I'd just have to reschedule. Staff is really nice but it's clear patients time is not a priority and they try to see as many patients as possible at one time. I just established myself as a new patient and had a great experience. The hygienist was very thorough with my cleaning/ imaging and explained process and answered my questions about my images. Dr. Ortiz confirmed a pretty large cavity that wasn't visible on the surface and was not causing me pain at all. It was already close to the nerve but luckily we caught it soon enough to avoid a root canal. This was my first cavity so I was a little shocked but Dr. Ortiz explained the imaging and even said she would be able to show me the cavity while she's doing the filling. She made sure all my questions were answered and was very friendly. Highly recommend!

I started going to Baldwin Park Family Dental almost a year ago. I, like a lot of folks, have anxiety at the dentist but the team at Baldwin Park Family Dental have been nothing but gracious, respectful and caring. I have had several crowns done, a few fillings and I've had nothing but positive experiences all around. Lori, the hygienist, is an absolute delight and Dr. Ortiz is probably the kindest medical professional I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I will continue going to BPFD as long as they're on business and i recommend anyone else to do the same.
