Dr. Maria Balagtas or Dr. Marcy is known for her gentle and creative touch. She enjoys helping each of her patients to improve their health, appearance, and self-esteem by creating the smile of their dreams, hence maintaining the health and function of their teeth, gums, and bite. Dr. Balagtas paramount goal for each patient is to educate them and for the patients to be able to put what they learned in practice for lifetime dental health.
Dr. Maria Balagtas earned her Degree in Dentistry at Centro Escolar University in 1987 where she completed her training in General Dentistry. Dr. Balagtas began practicing in California in 1998. She has been a member of the Academy of General Dentistry since 2001. She became an International Associate for Orthodontics in 2004. Dr. Balagtas has also been an active member of the American Dental Association and California Dental Association, and Southern California Filipino Dental Society. She has completed various courses in the University of Southern California including Advanced Esthetic Dentistry Continuum and Esthetic Implant Restorations. She was acknowledged by United Concordia because of her Outstanding Service as a Participating Dental Provider since 2001. Dr. Balagtas has also been certified and has completed the Standard Proficiency Course for Dental Laser Education. She has been certified for completing the Implant Training Course by the Apsun Implant Dental Research in Feb 6, 2010.
