Dr. Maria Balagtas or Dr. Marcy is known for her gentle and creative touch. She enjoys helping each of her patients to improve their health, appearance, and self-esteem by creating the smile of their dreams, hence maintaining the health and function of their teeth, gums, and bite. Dr. Balagtas paramount goal for each patient is to educate them and for the patients to be able to put what they learned in practice for lifetime dental health.
Dr. Maria Balagtas earned her Degree in Dentistry at Centro Escolar University in 1987 where she completed her training in General Dentistry. Dr. Balagtas began practicing in California in 1998. She has been a member of the Academy of General Dentistry since 2001. She became an International Associate for Orthodontics in 2004. Dr. Balagtas has also been an active member of the American Dental Association and California Dental Association, and Southern California Filipino Dental Society. She has completed various courses in the University of Southern California including Advanced Esthetic Dentistry Continuum and Esthetic Implant Restorations. She was acknowledged by United Concordia because of her Outstanding Service as a Participating Dental Provider since 2001. Dr. Balagtas has also been certified and has completed the Standard Proficiency Course for Dental Laser Education. She has been certified for completing the Implant Training Course by the Apsun Implant Dental Research in Feb 6, 2010.
Advanced education and continuing dental study allows Dr. Balagtas to offer her patients a very superior dental experience and, an unparalleled level of quality care with the use of the latest techniques and technologies along with her personal sensitivity and gentle touch. She regularly attends various study clubs and dental community meetings to update herself on the latest practice technology and trends in dentistry.
Dr. Balagtas academic track record and sincere commitment to her patients well-being shows her excellence in everything she does. She always offer her patients the most optimum service that she can provide. She continues her commitment to the local and church community by attending various community and church activities and is active in developing aid and dental education for her hometown community in the Philippines.

After months of looking for a dentist place. This is an awesome place to go to from front desk staff to service throughout the process it was straight forward and fast feedback. I got some papers emailed to fill out before appointment super fast and convenient.Clean place as well. I got referred to another dentist due to my wisdom teeth but will be back soon.

I just had 2 teeth crowned in front. They took off the broken one and decayed one. They maxed new permanent crowns for me right there while I waited. I think they look great. I've been going to Dr Balagtas for a very long time. She and her staff are caring and try to make sure your visit is as pain free as possible. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great dentist. I even have my brother going to her now.

I've been going to Dr Balagtas for a very long time. She and her staff are caring and try to make sure your visit is as pain free as possible. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great dentist. I even have my brother going to her now.

I always have a great experience coming to this dental office. The staff makes me feel very comfortable to when im getting x rays, especially numbing medicine and dental procedures. They even corrected an old crown. That another dentist had put on me from a molding he did. At this dental office they scan the area and made my new crown and they gave me a tube of cement just in case it came loose. I highly recommend MD dental office. Thanks again to ALL the staff.

When you're visiting Disneyland and not from the area you really don't think much about what to do if you have a dental emergency (unbearable nerve / tooth pain) but that is exactly what happened to us today. I called Maria's office (MB Dentistry) and they were not in yet, but provided a TEXT / emergency phone number conveniently from their normal phone message system. I texted them at 7:30 am and by 8am I had them in conversation with me. I was lucky ... the tooth pain subsided quickly after my wife took the Ibuprofen, but it's nice to know they were close, engaged, and willing to take her VERY quickly on a moments notice. It really appreciate that kind of service and I am sure you will too. I could tell they really cared about our situation. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone !! An excellent choice if you are in unfortunate situation and end up with a tooth that gives you bigtime pain. I know they will be able to help you.
