Dr. Waasdorp is a specialist in dental implants and treating gum disease. Utilizing the latest advances in implant, laser and periodontal therapy, we offer a wide range of comprehensive treatment aimed at restoring your smile and saving your teeth.
Dr. Waasdorp received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with honors in pharmacology and received National Board of Dentistry Parts I and II honors. He then completed a three year residency at the University of Maryland and specialized in periodontics and advanced implant dentistry.
In his final year of residency, Dr. Waasdorp was selected as the recipient of the American Academy of Periodontology Lazarra Fellowship Award in Advanced Implant Surgery. This prestigious fellowship is awarded to the top periodontal resident in the country each year, in which the recipient engages in advanced implant surgical training along with teaching and research responsibilities.
Dr. Waasdorp is committed to education and is a clinical associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania. He regularly attends continuing education courses, and teaches other dentists in the area about dental implants and periodontal therapy.

I found Dr. Waasdorp by a referral from a co-worker. The professionalism and friendliness of the whole team is outstanding. I've been going to them for a complicated process (implants) and cleaning. Every visit is like visiting friends. The dental care is the best I have experienced! I couldn't be happier with the results.

All of the negative reviews here about the receptionists are correct. Bala Periodontics is a cattle call of patients. Dr.Wasdorf gave me an implant in the end of May. I'm happy to say the tooth site never got infected thanks to the antibiotics I received. Unfortunately my dentist noticed that the "healing plate" of the implant was not on correctly and that could have caused a major infection. Good luck with parking.

In searching for good dental work I came across this place. When I called to inquire about their services they were very professional and knowledgeable. Giving me all the information I needed to make any decisions moving forward. This made me very comfortable. I look forward to setting up an appointment. !!!

Called a few weeks ago and made an appointment and gave all my insurance information over the phone. They called me on Monday before the appointment to inform me that they do not accept my insurance and expected me to pay cash. This is very unprofessional in this day and age. If you're going to ask for the information over the phone it should be checked well in advance of the appointment especially when there's weeks before the appointment will occur. I have teeth that are rotting out of my mouth and I now have to wait for another appointment with another periodontist that takes my insurance. Do not depend on this office to tell you if they accept your insurance or not.

I could not get over how exceptionally rude the receptionist was at Dr. Waasdorp's office two months ago. I called to get a consultation for an implant done as per my dentists request with Dr. Waasdorp and the receptionist acted like she was doing me a favor. I called on a Friday and I asked her if she accepted my insurance. She said she doesn't check insurance and that I can come for a consultation and upon arrival I can just figure it out if he accepts my insurance. She also had a very condescending tone on the phone. So obvi I canceled this apt the week I was supposed to have my appointment with a proper 48 hours notice. For this very reason alone I made a consultation with another periodontist and they couldn't have been more nice and welcoming to me over the phone. Im so excited to be getting my implant done by Dr. Madani. He handled everything for me right away and is having my surgery done in early July. This should be a lesson that your front of staff can lose you business Please not I cannot attest to Dr. waasdorp only his exceptionally rude front of staff people.

I WAS LOOSING MY TEETH SINCE I HAD THYROID CANCER, SOME BROKE OFF AND SOME FELL OUT DUE TO THE MEDICINE I WAS TAKING. FOR YEARS I WAS UNABLE TO SMILE DUE TO THE LOST OF MY TEETH. WELL, IT TOOK ME A LONG LONG TIME TO FIND A GOOD DENTIST THAT I CAN TRUST. BECAUSE I HAD A REAL BAD EXPERIENCE WITH A DENTIST WHERE I STAYED AWAY FROM ANY DENTIST. WELL I HAD A DREAM OF ME SMILING EAR TO EAR FOR A PHOTO SHOOT. THEN I SAID IM GOING TO GET MY TEETH DONE BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY IN JUNE. SO I SEARCH FOR THE TOP NOTCH DENTIST. I CAME ACROSS BALA PED/DR. WASSDROP WHO WAS WELL KNOWN FOR HIS WORK. I SCHEDULED AN APPT. BACK IN 2019. DR. WASSDROP WAS VERY PLEASANT AND UNDERSTANDING OF MY FEAR. HE SHOWED ME HIS BEAUTIFUL BOOK OF HIS WORK AND HE TOLD ME HE CAN GIVE ME MY SMILE BACK. I LOOKED AT HIM AND CRIED BC HE CONVINCED ME. WELL THE PANDEMIC HIT EVERYTHING CAME TO A HALT. WELL HIS STAFF WHOM I LOVE DEARLY FOLLOWED UP WITH ME TO SCHEDULED AN APPT. WHEN THEY OPENED. ...WELL 5/18/22 WAS MY DAY DR WASSDROP PRESCRIBED ME SOMETHING FOR MY NERVES...THANK GOD BC I NEEDED IT AND HIS STAFF ENCOURAGING ME. I GATHER MUCH CONFIDENCE TO MOVE FORWARD. LET ME JUST SAY IF YOU ARE SCARED OF THE DENTIST, CANNOT TAKE PAIN OR A BAD EXPERIENCE...IM SCREAMING AT YOU, YES YOU...GO MAKE AN APPT WITH DR. Dr. Waasdorp did implants for me. There were multiple visits and each visit was a great experience. Dr. Waasdorp and his staff are pleasant, kind, professional and everyone I came in contact with went out of their way to make sure that I was as comfortable as possible. Follow up was great and I am thrilled with the results. I highly recommend Dr. Waasdorp.

Where do I being, this place is hands down one of the best dental practices i've been to in a very long time. From the time of my phone call to scheduling my appointment and how friendly the receptionist was. I liked that they gathered all my information ahead of time so there is no miscommuncation the day of. Dr. Waasdorp was very thorough explaining my treatment. I got an implant done after many year of fear and can I tell you this has been a dream come true. I had the option of getting nitrous and putting all my fear aside. Dr. Waasdorp and his assistants were phenomenal & his work speak for it self. He is a wonderful periodontics and I will recommend this place.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this office. they were the only office in the area that were able to get me in same day to get me out of pain and they all did an amazing job. I'm so thankful for everyone here and how caring they all were. I know how hard it is to be working in health care, especially during a pandemic, but everyone was so friendly, upbeat, personable, and it was just a great atmosphere. I cannot recommend them enough
