Bal Harbour Smiles provides a wide variety of dental services and procedures to address all of our patients' dental health needs. By combining quality patient care with up-to-date technology, we are able to treat patients of all ages in a comfortable and relaxing setting. Our dentist and highly trained staff are trained to not only treat patients but to identify what caused the health concern in the first place. This approach sets patients of Bal Harbour Smiles on the road to recovery and long term oral health.

We offer a wide variety of services for patients throughout the Surfside Florida area. Our patients depend on Dr. Yudah Ari Benmergui to meet all of their oral healthcare needs. Whether you need preventative care, restorative solutions or a smile makeover, we can help.

The team at Bal Harbour Smiles believe in the importance of preventative care. We focus on keeping patients in good oral health so that they can live a full, healthy, and enjoyable life that is free from oral pain. This starts by educating our patients on what they can do to stay healthy at home. In our family dentist office we recommend that patients eat a healthy diet that consists of green leafy vegetables, lean protein, nuts, dairy products, and crunchy fruits and veggies. Eating these foods along with drinking water can help to keep teeth healthy and make them stronger. By simultaneously reducing sugar intake, patients can also reduce their risk of cavities.

It is also important to brush and floss throughout the day. Instead of waiting for bedtime to brush teeth, carry a small toothbrush and use it after meals and snacks. This makes it possible to remove sugar and bacteria from the teeth and gums before it has the opportunity to turn into acid that can attack the teeth. This preventative step can greatly reduce a persons' risk of getting a cavity or gum disease. We understand the importance of taking these steps at home and will spend the time necessary to educate and inform patients so that they can stay healthy overall. Education, after all, is essential for living a long and healthy life.

Understanding the importance of these regular dental exams, the staff at Bal Harbour Smiles work to make each patient extremely comfortable. This includes being welcoming and kind while performing dental treatments in a way that is painless and relaxing. Patients visit our dentist office because they trust us to do just that take care of their teeth and gums, gently. The majority of our patients are local and come from the greater Surfside area, we also see patients that are looking for gentle dental care.

Seniors, on the other hand, often struggle with gum disease and oral infections. As people age, their teeth can become weaker and infected more easily. Bone loss is incredibly common with seniors and by conducting regular dental exams, the team at Bal Harbour Smiles can help seniors to have strong teeth and reduce the risk of them falling out. Since over seventy percent of U.S. adults suffer from tooth loss, preventative care is important.

A. Primary, or 'baby,' teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to come in.

A. First, rinse the irritated area with warm salt water and place a cold compress on the face if it is swollen. Give the child acetaminophen for any pain, rather than placing aspirin on the teeth or gums. Finally, see a dentist as soon as possible.

A. Sealants work by filling in the crevasses on the chewing surfaces of the teeth. This shuts out food particles that could get caught in the teeth, causing cavities. The application is fast and comfortable and can effectively protect teeth for many years.

A. Have your family dentist evaluate the fluoride level of your child's primary source of drinking water. If your child is not getting enough fluoride internally through water (especially if the fluoride level is deficient or if your child drinks bottled water without fluoride), then we may prescribe fluoride supplements.

A. Soft plastic mouthguards can be used to protect teeth, lips, cheeks and gums from sport related injuries. A custom-fitted mouthguard will protect your teeth from injuries and even provide protection from severe injuries to the head.

A. There is very little risk in dental X-rays. Family dentists are especially careful to limit the amount of radiation to which you and your family are exposed. Lead aprons and high-speed film are used to ensure safety and minimize the amount of radiation. Digital x-rays provide an even greater level of protection by using up to 90 percent less radiation.

A family dentist is a great dental professional to see for routine examinations. Bal Harbour Smiles offers both adults and children convenient dental care all at the same place, and often at the same time in the Surfside area.Family dentists are dental professionals who have undergone additional training in order to learn how to properly

Cavities are one of the most common dental issues treated by a family dentist. Also called tooth decay, cavities can develop on any tooth and always seem to appear suddenly. However, the process takes longer. Visiting the dentist regularly is an excellent way to detect cavities when they are still small. Continue reading to know

The place does a fair job once you get to it, my experience is that I waited an hour pluus after I made an appointment and left. I came back for another thing that was to glue my crown, also waited 30 plus minutes and paid an exorbitant price for it. It seems to me they process you when they can and take the money. Not worth it.

My husband was provided bridge job estimate of $1650 for each however Sheisa provided discount of $1300 by hand writing on estimate, total estimate was overcharged after my husband summary estimate numbers, she refused to provide corrected job estimate saying manager not agree with discount. My husband absolutely not happy with Office job providing to customers by creating mess, overcharge, confusion and misrepresentation. My husband very dissapointed and upset and not recommend, otherwise check estimate carefully for Office errors for overcharging.

This dentist should be embarrassed. He is a money hungry person who is supposedly a religious God fearing person. Stay away.

My name is Eric Mark Martinez, I have known this doctor for 20 years. Although he is qualified and does good work his office and his personnel are NOT. We all have busy schedules an HEAVY WORK LOAD DAYS.... Appointments..are APPOINTMENS., that is why we make them.and that is why they are called APPOINTMENS. TODAY IS THE THIRD TIME THEY CANCEL AN EXISTING APPOINTMENT, IM NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PRACTICE BECAUSE MY TIME, AND PEOPLE'S TIME SHOULD BE RESPECTED AND HONORED. I CANCELLED MY AFTERNOON TO SEE THIS DOCTOR, AND THE OFFICE CANCELLED ME AGAIN TO RESCHEDULE. I WILL NOT GO THRU THIS AGAIN. Very EX PATIENT

I don't know how a good doctor is, but on Instagram, Ari Bermerga communicates terribly. Doesn't know how tell you hello. Asks to send their pictures, I don't know why. You send it to him and he doesn't reply to you. Be careful with individuals who do not respect you do not know how to communicate normally.

This dental office is amazing! Everyone is friendly, and they are focused on the client having a great experience. Carolina, the hygienist, goes above and beyond to assist you. She does a fantastic job of cleaning your teeth, and her warm personality shines through. I must also mention Simy, Annerys, Maria, Mimi, Isa, Alida, and of course, Dr. Ari Benmergui. The entire office provides an excellent level of service that you will not get anywhere else. Call today for your appointment. Dr. Benmergui is the best dentist in Miami and the surrounding areas!

I've been a patient for over 3 years. They just pulled a bait and switch on me. I called about getting new retainers and they told me $150.00 like I paid previously. I drove 40 minutes to my appointment and confirmed price before sitting in the chair for new retainers..I paid the 150.00 plus 20.00 for shipping. On the way home they called and said they waited $300.00 for retainers. I told them the quote was $150.00 and I paid it on Amex. They never made the retainers and have not returned my money. I have to have Amex deal with them. They have been shady to 2 of my friends that went there with pricing also. I would never ever go there again. They are very shady and will not give you service for the price they quote.

I contacted your office today and I am highly disappointed at the unprofessionalism of your staff. I texted my insurance information 2 days ago and was told I would her back from the insurance coordinator by EOD no one never contacted me I called today to ask why haven't I received a call and the young lady was extremely rude and told me they don't accept my insurance and that when I asked her well why didn't I get a call back she hung up on me. I was really interested in using ur services with or without my insurance but I'm second guessing due to the way I was handled I would like a call or email back from upper management where I can get further assistance but I refuse to speak to the representative that present there now. Oh and she said y'all short staffed that why no one call me back yesterday. Sent from my iPhone

Don't expect any professionalism from this dental office. They would only keep your appointment in place before maxing out your insurance and charging you $9,635 for a dental work that keeps malfunctioning. Dr. Benmergui is rude and overrated. I got a second opinion about his work and It was upsetting and disappointing.

After seeing all of the very recent negative reviews about this place (Google and Yelp) I feel compelled to come share my awful experience with this place as well. As a person who RARELY writes reviews, especially negative ones, I feel this review is very well needed for all residents of Dade and Broward who consider using this place for dental care. I would HIGHLY recommend you choose another dental practice, for this place is extremely unprofessional and will cause further damage to any dental issues you're experiencing. I was recommended this place from a friend when I moved down to Miami 3 yrs ago. Came in for a routine cleaning (the Latin male dental hygienist was the only positive I was able to take away) and it went well, they took an X-Ray and Dr. Ari said I have a very bad cavity and would need an immediate filling. NEVER had any pain or discomfort in that tooth previously, but as the "professional" Dr explained I took his advice and scheduled the appointment for the filling. Came in for the filling a month or so after, the procedure was done and in the take-home packet the directions stated, if you are still experiencing any pain or discomfort 1 month after procedure, to let the office know immediately. 1.5 Months after, I was still experiencing a great deal of pain and discomfort, So I called the office to arrange a visit. That's where things became extremely and shockingly unprofessional, the front-desk receptionist is THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL staff member I have ever encountered in my entire life. She will randomly re-schedule your appointment (the day of) and call/text you while you're literally in route to your appointment. I'm still in complete disbelief that she is employed the way she carries herself and treats clients. Long story short, I went to an endodontist and they confirmed that tooth that rcvd a filling was now facing a severe infection. Bal Harbour Smiles even tried to charge me a $75 Consultation Fee for coming in for pain 1.5 months post-procedure, of course I did not pay! Dr. Ari is very rude and unprofessional also, its clear that his SOLE CONCERN is getting patients in and out as fast as possible and to charge them with however much they possibly can. His lack of care and concern to his patients is extremely bewildering and shocking. The dental office itself, is smaller than my 2 bedroom apartment, so its obvious that they're only concerned with getting patients in and out ASAP so they can earn the most off their low-quality dental care. They could honestly offer me free lifetime dental care for me and my family, and I would drive hours away just to go somewhere else. PLEASE save yourself the trouble, pain, inconvenience and head/toothache and choose another place for your basic dental care. I am honestly very surprised the FL Board of Medicine hasnt revoked their license to practice yet bc they honestly need to.

Not a friendly place for African Americans. When you first do your consultation you have Esa or whatever her name is being the best actress she can be. Their attitudes in the office is not friendly and they will make sure to call you when it's beneficial for them. If it's not beneficial to them then GOOD LUCK!
