Dr. David Baker earned his doctorate at OHSU School of Dentistry in 2003 and completed his orthodontic residency at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC in 2005. He then continued his training with one of the world's foremost orthodontic clinicians, Dr. Larry Andrews.
Dr. Baker not only learned directly from Dr. Andrews since 2003, he was invited and spoke on the Six Elements of Oro-Facial Harmony at the American Association of Orthodontists annual meeting in Hawaii in 2012.
The 6Elements is an innovative philosophy of orthodontic treatment, discovered by Dr. Larry Andrews, that creates harmony and balance between your teeth, jaws, airway, and face. What this means for you is that Dr. Baker not only straightens your teeth and corrects your bite, but he also knows how your jaws should be positioned for improved health, comfort, and aesthetics. He really understands the tough cases and how to work with kids who have cleft lip/cleft palate and craniofacial deformities as well. This is one of many reasons why, in addition to private practice, he has been the consulting orthodontist for the Portland Shriner's Hospital Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Team since 2005.
Dr. Baker also uses the Six Elements to diagnose and help treat concerns such as a gummy smile, deficient chin,protruding chin, overbite, under bite, anarrow smile, and creates very pleasing aesthetic, optimal long term healthresults for patients.

Dr. Baker is happily married to his wife,Dawnelle, and they live in Camas,Washington.In his spare time Dr. Baker lovesto spend time with his wifeand theirfive daughters, Lynnden, Makenna, Lucy, Caydence, and Samantha.He also enjoyswake surfing, golfing,riding bikes, and fun hikes with their dog Bella.

Dr. Baker and I have five daughters ranging in age from three to fifteen years old. We also have a dog, a schnoodle named Bella. I look forward to snowboarding in the winter and wake surfing in the summer with my family.
Kyli has worked in Orthodontics for over 4 years nows and absolutely loves it! As our office manager, the most rewarding part of her job is to ensure the best possible experience for all patients. Building relationships with the patients and parents is also very important to her, as we see our patients like family.
Celysha has been in the Ortho world for over 11 years! She also is a licensed cosmetologist and has been for over 10 years. Her passion to make people feel beautiful has led her to love two completely different fields of work. She is married to her husband, Josh, and has two beautiful daughters, Brooklynn & Londyn. They recently welcomed a new miniature longhaired dachshund to their family and they are absolutely in love with him! They enjoy taking family trips and love the beauty of the PNW.
Rachael has been in dentistryfor five years and this is her first year in orthodontics! She is married to her husband Eric. She loves to travel, camp, and backpack camp as well as fishingand boating. Fun fact She has eight tattoos! ask her about them sometime!

I got my braces here and the results are amazing. Dr. Baker and everybody else was very accommodating to my personal needs and were very straightforward and informative about my care. I felt well taken care of and they made the process as pain free as possible. I am grateful for the excellent care.

I would and do recommend Baker Orthodontics to anyone needing treatment. The staff is excellent, very flexible, easy to work with, knowledgeable, and top notch in my opinion. My son has been a patient of there's now for a little over 3 years. From starting his experience with wearing an expander, to getting his braces off and now retainer. We were both dreading it at before anything had been started, but once the process begin it had been nothing but pleasant and issue free. Great crew, great people, great experience. Thank you everyone.

I want to say "Thank You" to Dr. Baker and all the staff. My daughter went to his ortho clinic 7 years ago and I was very satisfied with the result. Now, it's my turn to do some work for my teeth. I then decided to go to his clinic for a consultation. I made a good choice and decision. We started my braces in 2016 and I just had my braces off last Monday -November 16, 2020. It was a full 4 years. He is very patient all those years of my treatment. He made sure that everything is done right from start to finish. Overall, it was a great experience!!!! It's worth all my time and money spent. I will highly recommend Dr. Baker to everyone who is looking for a good and professional Ortho. It doesn't matter how old you are, you will be treated and cared for by Dr. Baker and his whole staff.

I've been treated by Dr. Baker and his staff since I was in middle school and I am now in my 20's. I've had braces with him twice, but my situation was special. There was nothing wrong with my initial treatment in fact I believe I received the best care there is to offer. After I got my braces off in high school I loved my smile, but Dr. Baker warned me that jaw surgery may be in my future if I wanted to avoid future health problems. Me being a kid I shrugged him off. Fast forward about 8 years later and the health issues he warned me about materialized in the form of severe sleep apnea. So, I called up Dr. Baker once again to continue treatment. I had to have braces put back on for about 7 months to prepare me for double jaw surgery. Dr. Baker referred me to a fantastic surgeon in the Portland area and the two of them worked closely to plan the best course of action. I had double jaw surgery in May of 2020 and it was the best decision I have ever made, it probably saved my life. My bite has never been better and I can finally breath and sleep through the night. I won't lie, having double jaw surgery is daunting, but it is so worth it especially if you put your trust into Dr. Baker. If anyone out there needs any kind of orthodontic treatment or surgery I would run and not walk to Dr. Baker's office.

Great place, everyone here is super chill and relateable. Everyone was helpful and nice, I had my braces done here and it was pretty easy to get everthing done, appointments lasting anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour and a half.
