Dr. Ochs grew up in Warren and moved to Clinton Township as a teenager and graduated from Fraser High School. From there he attended Oakland University before being accepted to the University of Detroit School of Dentistry, where he graduated in 1987. Little did he know when he started at dental school that his future wife, Susan Baker, was also a dental student in the class two years behind him. After meeting her at a school social event the rest is, as they say, history. The product of that meeting includes among other things, life, and business partnerships, two sons and a busy dental practice. When he has some spare time Dr. Ochs will be found tinkering in his garage or up north using a chain saw and puttering on his old John Deere tractor.
Dr Baker grew up in St. Clair Shores and graduated from Lakeshore High School. She attended Adrian College where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, then went on to the University of Detroit School of Dentistry and graduated in 1989. Dr.s Baker and Ochs met at dental school and got married in 1990; they reside in Clinton Township. They have two sons, who are now grown. In her spare time, she enjoys working in her garden, biking, and spending time with her family.

Let me start off by saying that Dr. Baker is a great dentist. The staff is friendly, and the service is great. I have primarily gone to this dentist since I was a child. The reasons from the review stems from a billing issue. As a preface, before Feb. 2020, I had not gone to any dentist in a few years, and it was 5+ years since my last visit here. Before I scheduled my first appointment in Feb. 2020, I asked the clerk if they accepted my insurance. I was told that I was all set and went forward with the appointment. Since this appointment, I have scheduled several other appointments under the impression that I was covered by my insurance. It was not until I received a $361.00 invoice that did not stated the services for which I was charged that I began to wonder what caused this balance. During my discussions with the office manager, I was informed that my insurance was out-of-network the whole time. If I was informed about this initially, I would have seen an in-network dentist or could have at least chosen to incur out-of-pocket expenses with Baker & Ochs because of past history. Every other Dr. office that I use, has been able to verify my coverage before an appointment to ensure that my visit will be covered. The discussions about the bill was not handled in a respectful manner in my opinion by the office manager. No remedy was given concerning the amount owed on my bill.

Best place ever!!!!! The people here are actually fantastic, awesome service, very professional, good energy..... They really know how to take care of you. Would recommend to anyone in need of a good dentist.

Great office. My crown fell off today and they were able to get me in last minute. Office staff and doctor are very kind. I've been with them for over a year now and plan on staying. P. S. This was an old crown not perform at their office.
