There are no words to adequately describe the feeling I have when I start with a self-conscious individual who struggles to express themselves because of their discomfort with their teeth. As treatment progresses, I watch their confidence and personality blossom, along with their brand-new, customized, one-of-a-kind Bakers Braces Smile. Its awesome!
I love to go back to school every chance I get and equally relish any opportunity to share what I learn with my patients and staff. Continuing education courses, ranging from complex surgical to combined orthodontic restorative cases are exciting and, as I tell my patients, I love a good challenge!
My staff and I are truly excited about what we do and Ive found that continuing education not only keeps us on our toes, but ensures that our enthusiasm and love for what we do continues to grow: patient by patient, day by day, year after year.
In addition to attending meetings, lectures, and seminars locally, regionally, and nationally I am also an active member of the Western Kentucky Orthodontic and Louisville Orthodontic Alumni study groups.
Other than my time away at school Ive lived in Owensboro all my life. My wonderful wife, Nancy, and I met in college in 1982. It was love at first sight for both of us! Our son, Worth, is currently studying for a Master's Degree in physiology at University of Louisville. He is also a blacksmith, bladesmith, and silversmith.
If Im not at the office Im likely happily ensconced at home. Nancy and I are probably the happiest and most committed homebodies youre likely to meet and spending time together is our highest priority. We are both most content when snuggled up together and watching our favorite TV shows. We love mysteries and are partial to Father Brown, anything based on an Agatha Christie story, and anything related to Sherlock Holmes. We are also big animal lovers, so reruns of All Creatures Great and Small are particular favorites. I also love learning, so scientific documentaries are sought out, too: basically, anything that teaches me something new!
My hobbies include building airplane, boat, and car models; designing and making jewelry for those I love; painting; making stained glass; and playing Candy Crush. (Nancy made me include the last one, because it makes her crazy!)
Our employees undergo extensive, intensively supervised initial training and are required to participate in ongoing continuing education throughout the year. I am convinced that my staff is among the most professional and skillful to be found, anywhere in the world, and I am proud to invite you to learn a bit about who they are.
Our team is energetic and gives off an awesome, contagious vibe. Even patients who start treatment feeling apprehensive soon relax and are laughing and joking with us. Theyre excited to get a new smile! I work in the clinic, assisting Dr. Brad as he creates great smiles, while supporting and encouraging patients to keep up with their home care.
Everyone on our team, as well as Dr. Baker, works really well together. This allows us to achieve the goal of perfect smiles for every patient! I take impressions and X-rays, as well as diagnostic photos and records, and I mount models, too.
I am happy to help our patients and families feel less stressed about treatment. By handling their insurance and billing questions, I make the financials a smooth process, so they can stop worrying and enjoy getting a new smile!
Our team is wonderful and our office is constantly filled with laughter: from us, our patients, and their families! I welcome and check in patients, schedule visits, answer the phone, and handle patient billing as well as filing the insurance claims and follow up requests.
We have a wonderful office. Dr. Brad is full of energy and keeps things interesting, and my coworkers are always happy and ready to help anyone with anything they need! I work in the clinic, assisting Dr. Brad with procedures including putting on braces, doing adjustments, and wire changes.
I keep busy outside of work. I am happily married and have a son, two Great Danes, and a leopard tortoise. I spend much of my free time outdoors, enjoying fishing, mudding, going to car shows, and helping in the garage.

Dr. Baker is the most caring and hands on orthodontist I have seen! I've had braces twice & I can honestly say his attention to detail resulted in my second set turning out PERFECT! I get compliments on my teeth all the time & I cannot thank him enough! My son will be getting braces here in June & I cannot wait to see the end result!

Dr. Baker is a wonderful orthodontist! Both of my children were so nervous about getting braces, but Dr Baker and his staff made them feel at ease. They are so very caring, friendly, and understanding. My family and I wouldn't go anywhere else. We love Dr. Baker!!

Dr. Baker has treated all three of my children and I must say that the results were excellent. My oldest child was recomended a scary jaw surgery by an orthodontist in Louisville. We spoke to Dr. Baker and told him that we did not want to take the surgical route. Dr. Baker explained to us that surgery was the best option, but that he would respect our wishes as well. Dr. Baker was great in explaining what would be going on and helped alleviate our fears. After the treatment was complete, everything looked beautiful! Dr. Baker's treatment of my other two children has resulted in fantastic results as well. We really appreciate everything Dr. Baker has done for our family. I just wish he could have done my braces when I was a kid. I probably wouldn't have all these crowns that I have now!

gave silly evolution sales pitch at first appointment to scare into getting braces. Stated we would only need one phase. When braces due to be removed started talking bout second phase and lied that he ever said would only need one phase. Suggested youngest child needed braces, got second opinion and was informed could wait. He belongs on used car lot.

We travel about an hour to get to Dr. Brad's. We could have gone to one closer to us, but felt we had connected with Dr. Brad and his staff the best and that it was worth the extra travel time to make our son's experence the best. Dr.Brad is the most hand's on orthodontist that I have ever been around and his office staff is VERY friendly. Plus to keep my son happy he has Gameboys and electronic games to play with along with along with books for kids to read. He is the BEST! Please check him out and you will find that everything I have said in the review is more than true.
