Rather than making decisions for patients, I walk each through their condition and treatment options. After thoroughly answering their questions, each of my patients has the knowledge needed to make an informed decision about their orthodontic treatment.
After growing up in Tracy, Dr. Baird attended the University of the Pacific (UOP) in Stockton, receiving her Bachelor degree in Biology in 2005. She then attended UOPs Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, obtaining her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2008.
Following dental school, Dr. Baird practiced general dentistry while teaching at the dental school and completing a 27-month orthodontic residency at UOP. In 2011, Dr. Baird received her Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters of Science in Dentistry (MSD); she was the recipient of the Arthur A. Dugoni Excellence in Research and Scholarly Activities Award, and ranked at the top of her class academically.
Dr. Baird was in private practice, as an orthodontist, for five years. She then decided to return to teaching, at UOP, in order to give back to the school that helped her fulfill her passion, and to surround herself with the leading experts in the orthodontics specialty.
Dr. Baird is the Co-Course Director for Invisalign for the orthodontic residents, Director of Invisalign Selective for Pre-doctoral dental students, and Co-Course Director for Principles in Orthodontics. Additionally, she is Adjunct Clinical Faculty in the Resident Orthodontic Clinic, where she teaches Invisalign and braces.
Dr. Baird is enthusiastic about utilizing the latest digital technologies, combined with leading-edge techniques, to best serve her patients. Through active and ongoing professional education, she ensures each patient receives the best orthodontic treatment available, with predictable, beautiful results.
Dr. Baird resides in Pleasanton with her family: husband Simon, children Emily and James, Bailey their dog, and Basil their cat. Youll often find the family enjoying time together around Pleasanton: at Bay Club, Downtown, and visiting with friends.
Among her many hobbies, Dr. Baird enjoys watercolor painting, acrylic pouring, photography, polymer clay art, jewelry making, and knitting. She also likes vegan cooking and baking, hiking, and backpacking, but time with her young family comes before all.

Erins background in membership, customer service, and human resources has given her the skills to excel as our treatment coordinator. She loves helping new patients through the orthodontic process and seeing the beautiful smiles they leave the office with. She grew up locally in Livermore and after attending college in Los Angeles (and several years living in the Central Valley) she moved back to Livermore with her husband and two children. Having gone through traditional braces several times herself while in school, she can definitely relate to the patient experience. And having two children in braces, can definitely relate to the parental experience! Erin loves spending time with her family, and training for triathlons.
When an individual dislikes the appearance of their teeth, that can affect their self-esteem and lead them to feel uncomfortable around others. Many of our patients start treatment feeling this way, and that can cause them to be withdrawn and uncertain around their peers and colleagues.
Once a patient starts orthodontic treatment, from visit-to-visit we watch them transform as they see the change in their appearance and start to feel at ease with how their teeth look. Our patient begins to smile more readily, without hiding their teeth, and is more open and relaxed in their interactions with us and with their peers, classmates, and colleagues.
By the time treatment is complete, each of our patients has straight and healthy teeth, a good bite, and a beautiful smile that radiates confidence. Dr. Baird, a board-certified orthodontist, utilizes leading-edge techniques and innovative technology throughout the orthodontic process. From initial diagnostics through detailed treatment planning and treatment, she constantly assesses patient progress and makes the crucial adjustments needed for the ideal results.
She and our team are concerned about each patient as an individual and dedicate time to building communication. We walk every patient through their diagnosis, treatment options, and, once treatment begins, what we are doing and why. We know that when a patient is actively engaged in treatment, they are more apt to keep up on their home care and are vested in the results.

I highly recommend Dr. Baird and her team. We have had an excellent experience with them. They are always on time with their appointments. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Dr. Baird is so helpful and extremely knowledgeable and absolutely goes the extra mile to help.

In the fall of 2019, I started my journey to improve my smile. After researching orthodontist in the Bay Area, I decided to give Baird Orthodontics a try. Upon my first visit to Baird Orthodontics, I was confident that I had chosen the best orthodontist in the Bay Area. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and customer obsessed. Dr. Baird is a complete expert in teeth shifting and perfecting smiles. I opted to go with Invisalign to straighten my teeth. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Baird and her team were committed to ensuring that I was beyond satisfied with my smile. Dr. Baird strategically constructed teeth movements to guarantee that I would be able to achieve the smile I desired. A year or so later, I am very happy with the results of my treatment! The office is always clean and tidy. Even taking multiple safety precautions to mitigate spreading Covid-19. Since the start of my treatment, I have recommended two friends to Baird Orthodontics that have both shared their positive feedback. I would highly recommend Baird Orthodontics to anyone seeking a top tier experience from an extremely knowledgeable team and Orthodontist. It also doesn't hurt that they are an fun and energetic bunch!

I had heard from numerous colleagues in the Tri-Valley that they were not happy with their orthodontist so I did a number of searches/research and landed on Baird Orthodontics. I could not be happier with my choice! Dr. Baird and her staff are amazing and are intensely focused on making their patients comfortable and happy. From Day 1 I felt like I was in good hands. They did not have a pushy sales pitch like over places I had visited for a consultation. Erin was awesome in helping me understand my options and everything was very transparent. From a planning and scheduling perspective, Lynn is always very warm and friendly and was a pleasure to work with in moving appointments around. The support staff was all amazing - very responsive and on the ball. There were a few new staff members during my treatment (which lasted about 16 months) and it was generally hard to tell because they were being trained so well. Lastly, Dr. Baird who is one of the most energetic, personable, and empathetic health/medical professionals I have met. I always felt like I was in amazing hands. She runs an amazing practice and I'm incredibly happy with the new smile their Invisalign treatment helped me achieve! Thank you Dr Baird and Baird Orthodontics - incredible work!

I chose Dr Baird and her office after consulting 6 orthodontists, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable office staff, convenient appointment schedule and a super friendly doctor - What more can you ask for. I am going back to her for my second kid as well.
