Although braces are still the most common method to align teeth and improve bite relationships, orthodontic options have changed over the past few years. New technologies are available including invisalign and clear brackets, which make orthodontic treatment less visible. These options have made orthodontic treatment more appealing to many adult patients in our practice. Please check through this website, especially the FAQ section, to find answers to your questions about orthodontics and about how our office works. And look at the beautiful smiles of some of our patients who have finished their orthodontic treatment.
We love our patients and their families. We are excited to meet you and we invite you to visit one of our offices to meet Dr. Baird and his team. Let us help you find that incredible smile you’ve been dreaming about!
Dr. Brian W. BairdI was raised 60 miles north of the Salt Lake Valley in Brigham City. I first became interested in orthodontics when I had braces as a senior in high school. Braces were pretty different back then, I had huge bands wrapped around every tooth, including the front. We tend to use lighter forces now days, too. I attended Utah State University in Logan. I earned my DDS degree at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
I continued my education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, earning my certificate of specialty in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics and an MS degree in oral biology. The research for my masters thesis has been published in The American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
I love sports, music, hiking, traveling, photography, and doing anything with my family. I currently play saxophone with Larry Smith's Kicks Band in Logan (we play awesome big band music). I have surprised myself by developing an affinity for running and skiing (but I'm pretty wimpy). My wife and I are the parents of three awesome girls.
I enjoy working with our patients. I love working with the kids, and hope the best for them as they move on in life- college, working, marriage, etc.I like the adults, too. I hope everyone has a good life! It is a privilege for me to meet and try to serve our patients the best possible way.
