Depending on the age of your child, he or she will either be given a knee-to-knee examination (where your babys head will rest on our doctors knee while their body is on your lap) or a regular exam in the doctors chair.
Your initial exam will last approximately 40 minutes. Oral hygiene instructions will also be given with suggestions to help your child care for their own teeth. In most cases, we will also clean their teeth on this visit, and provide an evaluation that will outline any existing dental problems and proposed treatment.
Dr. Neste is a pediatric dentist, specializing in the treatment and prevention of dental disease, as well as the overall oral health of children. Through extra years of schooling, training, experience, and certification, a pediatric dentist is uniquely qualified to treat the dental needs of infants, children, and adolescents.
A pediatric patient not only has a different dentition than adults but he/she may have specific dental and behavioral needs that are unique to a child. These needs may include orthodontics, dental sealants, fluoride applications or home treatments, or just simply education in oral hygiene. In addition to treating existing dental problems, our office focuses on prevention through patient and parent education.

Took my 3 week old in for a tongue tie and lip tie evaluation. Dr. Neste was amazing with the baby, thorough in her exam and explanation. Procedure was done the same day and it was a great experience. Will be returning with my older children as our previous dental office stopped accepting our insurance and we were in the market for a new one anyway!

We love our dentist and the staff at Bainbridge Kids. The team is incredible at making kids feel at ease with the dental cleanings/procedures. In addition to clearly communicating every step/action, they also have all the tricks and bells/whistles to both distract and soothe your kiddos during their time there. Headphones and fav tv show mounted on the ceiling, fidget toys, weighted blanket, coins to pick out a small toy afterward, etc. They always schedule both my kids for appointments at the same time so I can be efficient with my time and send me helpful text reminders as the appointment nears so we don't forget. I just wish they could be my dentist as well.

My kids were nervous for their first dental visit. Bainbridge kids dentistry made them feel so special and safe! Both kids loved the whole experience and are begging to go back! I highly recommend! Just took my one year old in for his first ever dentist appointment and it was the best experience! They were sweet and patient with him he didn't cry once while we were there, they worked very fast as well. He was also able to choose a movie to watch and got some great prizes after! Definitely recommend they are great with kids and make you feel comfortable

As a foster parent, I've cared for a lot of special needs and traumatized children. The amount of patience and sincerity that the staff at Bainbridge kids dentistry brings to the level of care for the children is so authentic. I can't imagine bringing my children anywhere else. 1 year ago I had a little traumatized guy that just hid underneath the chair and now he runs to the front doors.

My kids love this place, so I love this place. It's convenient to me (and everyone else for that matter), the staff are super nice, the dental techs are super nice, there are tv's with headphones for the kids while their teeth are being cleaned, and Dr. Neste is great with the kids. I feel she's very practical in terms of suggesting additional care.
