Dr. Bailey was raised in a military family as the son of a Naval Aviator. Consequently, home was in many places, including Rhode Island, Morocco, Italy, Virginia, New Jersey, Newfoundland, Micronesia and Washington D.C.
After attending the University of Rhode Island where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Dr. Bailey obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University. After Tufts University, he attended the University of Hawaii and received a Master of Business Administration degree.
After practicing general dentistry for over ten years, Dr. Bailey attended the University of Pennsylvania where he completed his post-doctoral specialty orthodontic training. Since that time, his practice has been dedicated solely to orthodontic treatment of children and adults. In order to offer his patients the latest orthodontic treatment options, Dr. Bailey annually participates in continuing education through local and national orthodontic courses and seminars.
Dr. Bailey is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and is past president of the Hawaii Society of Orthodontists. He is a member of the American Dental Association, past board of trustee member of the Hawaii Dental Association and a member of the Kauai County Dental Society.
During his free time, Dr. Baileys interests include wooden boat building, fishing, hiking, flying, odd musical instruments and spending time with family and friends. He and his wife, Marie, enjoy raising their four daughters (Leilani, Michelle, Briana and 'Alana) and one son (Maka).
