Screening everyone who attempts to enter a LRHC facility for COVID-19 symptoms, taking their temperature; requiring/providing a surgical mask as cloth masks and bandanas are not approved face coverings, requiring/providing hand sanitizer and practicing social distancing while in the lobby. Waiting rooms/lobbies will no longer offer magazines, children's toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. LRHC clinical staff will wear full PPE at all times when in contact with patients. During Flu Season patients seen for either COVID-19 symptoms or Flu symptoms will be tested for both.
Sanitizing the lobby chairs, doorknobs, surface areas, exam rooms, and procedure rooms after each patient visit. Deep cleaning the cubicle curtains in all exam/procedure rooms quarterly, conducting a deep cleaning of the carpets and VCT/Tile every 6 months and using disinfectants that can be effective against COVID- 19, and are effective against the most common diseases and pathogens, including MRSA, HIV-1 (AIDS virus), and Avian Flu.
