Dr. Bailey founded the practice in 1985 in an office with only one treatment room. Though it is a risky decision to start a dental office from scratch, Dr. Bailey was able to keep the practice alive and healthy, and today ouroffice featurestwelve exam rooms with a diverse set of available services.In addition, each of our doctors has undergone extensive training in order to be able to provide our patients with outstanding care.
We believe that all of our patients should have access to preventative, emergency, reconstructive, and cosmetic care, and with the diverse training of our doctors, we are able to provide a range of in-office services.
Some of our basic services include cleanings and check-ups, crowns, bridges, root canals, dental implants, and fillings. In addition, we also offer treatments geared towards preserving your long-term oral health including periodontal care, oral cancer screenings, and infection control. Your doctor will help you understand whether a treatment is medically necessary or if there are any treatments you should strongly consider to slow or stop the progression of oral health problems. Our doctors are highly informed on the whole-body impact of oral health problems and will ensure that you understand all of this information as you determine which services you will need to undertake.
We not only focus on promotingbetter whole-body health, but can also helppatients correct cosmetic imperfections, which can help some people feel more confident in their smile.Some of our cosmetic services include Invisalign, whitening, and veneers. We will work closely with your insurance provider to maximize your benefits, and for out-of-pocket costs, we offer CareCredit financing.
Dr. Cynthia Bailey is an experienced dentist in Richmond, MI, who offers a variety of restorative and cosmetic dental treatments at her office, Bailey Dental Group. Shegrew up in Mt. Clemens, now Clinton Township. She graduated from Chippewa Valley High School in 1974. After high school, she attended Macomb County Community College in the dental assistant curriculum and decided half-way through the course to continue with her education and become a dentist. After all, her uncle, who also is her godfather, was a dentist. She went three years at Macomb, earning two associates degrees in Liberal Arts and Dental Science. She then attended U of M in Ann Arbor and received her bachelors in Biology in 1979. Finally, she attended the University of Detroit (prior to being University of Detroit Mercy) and graduated from Dental School in 1983 receiving the Outstanding Student and Crown and Bridge Awards. While in school, Dr. Bailey assisted at a practice which gave her excellent clinical experience from working with several specialists, some of whom also instructed at the dental school. Richmond MI Dentist After graduating, Dr. Bailey then practiced at that same office for a period of time.
Dr. Bailey opened her practice in January of 1984 from scratch. Even though this was a risky venture, Dr. Bailey took into consideration that she liked to be in Macomb County and wanted some land for her horses. She had been in the Clinton Valley 4-H Saddle Club for all of her teenage years; a 4-H group founded by her parents. She also was familiar with the Armada Fair and the northern Macomb area. Her love of horses is her passion and still continues to the present. She loves to compete and raise Arabians and Half-Arabs.
She also loves to garden, travel, and decorate her house; but most of all, she loves raising her daughter, Tess Marie. Tess is Dr. Bailey's riding partner and she keeps her young. Tess just may follow in her footsteps and then the torch will be passed on. Dr. Bailey provided mentorship to many people who became very successful; be it with horses or in the dental field. She possesses an inherent nature to teach someone how to do something, even if they did not know they had it in them to accomplish the task.
Through the love and devotion of her husband, Curt, she has been able to expand her dental practice. When they first met, Dr. Bailey practiced out of a one treatment room office. Now, twenty- four years later, the new office has twelve treatment rooms and can accommodate dental implant placement, dental crowns and bridges, and even Invisalign treatments. Dr. Bailey has traits from both her mother and father. Her mother was an artist who enjoyed painting; which she passed on to Dr. Bailey. Her father was an engineer and designer and he passed on to Dr. Bailey the love of constructing with ones hands. Dentistry provided an avenue for Dr. Bailey to use her engineering and design skills while also being artistic, she just has an eye for it.
Dr. Tess Marie Finley is the daughter of Dr. Cynthia Bailey, of Bailey Dental Group. She has followed in Dr. Baileys footsteps of becoming a General Dentist. She grew up right here in Richmond, Michigan and graduated from Richmond High School in 2010. She went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from the University of Detroit Mercy with a Bachelors degree in Biology in 2014. She then graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2019. She shares her mothers passion for horses and enjoys breeding, training, riding, and showing her familys Arabian and Saddlebred horses. She loves to spend time with her husband, Myles and their Doberman Pinscher.

I've gone here for many years. My career was essentially killed due to government shutdown, as a result we no longer have dental insurance. I wanted to get my teeth cleaned but every dental office I called INSISTED that they needed to do X rays, which I have no problem with as long as we don't have to pay for them. Dr. Baily's team cleaned my teeth for me W/O X-rays and the added expense to me. I do understand that X-rays will help them better provide care but we simply can't pay for those services at this time. We should all agree that SOME dental care is BETTER than NO dental care. I called because of tooth pain and they went out of their way to see me same day. This was my first visit here and I've never had such an amazing experience. I've had plenty of bad experiences in the past and this was the best dentist visit ever. And who ever says that about the dentist. They are out of network with my insurance but I still plan to keep them as my dentist because of the extraordinary experience. I will also be making my daughter an appointment. Very friendly, non-judgemental, and just all around great. Everyone in the office was so nice. If I could give a millions stars I would.

The staff is always pleasant and they work as a team. Happy employees make a great atmosphere. They really care about your dental health and try to promote healthy habits. They offer great products and it is always clean in the office. It's almost like a spa! Highly recommend!

My husband had an appointment at 10 am on Monday as a new patient. He showed up at 9:50am. He walked in and there was a note on the desk that said they were in a meeting until 10:30. He took the day off of work with the expectation to pick up our son at 1 from his first day of school. By 10:30 there was still no one at the desk so he left. When the lady called to find out where he had gone (because he had signed in), she told me his 10 am appointment was to fill out paperwork. When I said there was no one there to give him paperwork she claimed to have checked the lobby at 10am which was a lie because my husband was sitting in the lobby. Then she hung up. Horrible customer service. What a waste of time.

I've been going to Bailey Dental for a while now and I just love the new remodel. It feels so cozy and welcoming on the inside. As someone who feels anxious about going to the Dentist sometimes, I must say that this place is awesome! The staff is fantastic, especially Kimmie and Dr. Finley. Also to my surprise, I was offered a couple of different options of things to make my appointment more comfortable. I chose the hand masks and essential oils. Safe to say, if you need a dentist and are looking for the best- head to Bailey Dental Group in Richmond! :)

Here I am once again shouting my praises for the Bailey Dental Group! Actually I am beginning to run out of accolades!! My most recent experience, however, was with a painful condition that I was so very fortunate to have Dr. Bailey alleviate for me and to leave me pain free for a happy holiday weekend! Also within Dr. Bailey's practice there is/has to be the most updated technology that one can only imagine! And what a pleasure to observe how her staff together, with each other, work to provide the utmost of service to each patient! Thank you Dr. Bailey and Staff! I have never been more impressed with a dental practice than that of Dr. Cynthia Bailey's, from the Administration area to the end result received by Dr. Bailey herself and her staff. Firstly, this office is so cozy and welcoming. The set up of the lobby is very personable, of course I love the horse decor Kimmy did my X-rays and cleaning, and Amanda assisted. They were both so sweet, funny, and took away my anxiety of being in the chair. Kimmy was very gentle yet thorough, which I appreciated so much. Dr. Bailey completed my exam. As always, she was detailed and paid close attention to my concerns. Glad to say I left not only cavity free, but feeling good about my visit. The whole team is awesome!
