Dr. Jeff Backus earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Auburn University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

5 Stars doesn't do this review justice. My family is over the moon impressed with Dr. Backus. We were out of town for a baseball tournament in Alabama when my son's top wire moved; he was uncomfortable and sore as it was poking his cheek. I contacted several practices and Dr. Backus was the one that responded! Not only did he respond after hours on a Saturday BUT followed up with a family that is not a part of his practice. AND then...he met us early Sunday morning to take care of my son in order for my son to make his early morning tournament game. I'm beyond impressed with the care & customer service he bestowed upon us. If he provides this level of care for strangers I can't even imagine what an awesome experience it would be to be his patient. What a wonderful person! And THANK YOU again! teamLayton, Fort Mill SC

Backus Orthodontics is absolutely amazing! From start to finish. They offer the latest technology and have the cutest giveaways for the kiddos. The office space is well thought out and super inviting for kids and parents. They really do think of everything and make your experience very enjoyable. Everyone on the staff is stellar. First class operation. Everyone I've interacted with has been nothing less than excellent. The office runs in a very timely fashion, without long delays in being seen for an appointment. Dr. Backus is also fantastic. He never seems rushed, and takes the time to answer all questions. I recommend this practice without reservation.
