I was born and raised in South Mississippi and graduated from St. Martin High School in 1997. I was privileged to have received a scholarship to play baseball at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where I graduated with High Honors. From MGCCC I continued my education on scholarship to The University of Mississippi and received a bachelors degree in biological sciences. As a graduate student, I attended Mississippi College and earned a masters degree in biological sciences graduating Summa Cum Laude. Upon finishing at Mississippi College, I began dental school at The University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. After my first year of dental school, I received a scholarship from the United States Navy where I began my dental career.
After completing dental school and receiving my Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree, I attended Officer Development School in Newport, RI. Once I completed ODS, I reported to Camp Lejeune, NC, where I was assigned as a general dentist to 2nd Dental Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group. During my assignment at Camp Lejeune, I provided dental services to Marines in direct support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. It was an honor and privilege to provide dental services to our countrys bravest men and women. Although I am no longer on active duty, I do maintain an active reserve status as a dental officer and will continue to provide for our countrys finest men and women.
Somewhere along the way, I was lucky enough to marry my high school sweetheart, Melissa (Griggs). Melissa was also raised in South Mississippi and graduated from Biloxi High School in 1997. Melissa and I have been married for 18 years, and we have five beautiful children: Hailey, Will, Olivia, Patrick, and Peyton. We are currently residing in Biloxi, and we are excited to be returning home to raise our children on the Gulf Coast.
As a dentist, my goal is to provide quality dental care with the highest level of integrity to each patient. I respect and understand that each patient is different and requires unique attention and understanding.
Jennifer has been active in the field of dentistry since 2008. Jennifer has greatly enjoyed spending the last 15 years working in clinical and administrative positions. She continues to grow fonder of dentistry with each new day. At Back Bay Family Dentistry, she has the honor of doing what she loves most, which is helping people. Jennifers interest and hobbies include traveling, boating, scuba diving, and spending time with her family and friends.
Melissa is a native of Biloxi, graduated from LSU with a B.S. in Chemistry and from UMMC with a Masters in Biological Sciences. She has been with our office since 2014. She keeps our office focused as a team in helping to deliver the best patient centered care. When not coordinating office training she keeps busy with her husband and five children.
Tonya has been a Dental Assistant for over 20 years. Having a passion to continually grow as a dental assistant, she stays up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry. She has an excellent work ethic and is also a great team player at Back Bay Family Dentistry. She thrives on making patients dental visits pleasant and comfortable. It is always nice to see a patient come in with a smile, but even nicer to see them leave with one.
Rhegan was raised in Vancleave, MS. She graduated with an Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene Technology in 2016. She is a compassionate and enthusiastic hygienist who delivers top quality care to patients and is genuinely invested in her patients oral health. When not working she is usually chasing around her 2 little princesses.
Brittany has been in dentistry for 2 years. She enjoys meeting new patients and strengthening the relationships with our established patients. Her personal mission every day is to bring a positive and pleasant experience to each patient. When away from the office she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children.

STAY WAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! i could give this place ZERO STARS i would (except for the dental hygienist and front desk lady who takes payments) Dr.Parker is young cocky doctor that appears full of himself. His table side matter is off putting to say the least. He stands arms crossed in a defensive posture when discussing treatments. This place uses deceptive business practices to get money out of people who are hurting physically and financially and who are just looking for help. They will charge you $200 for just talking about making an appointment and when you say you can't afford the treatment costs and wish to cancel (72HRS BEFORE) and seek treatment else where. The office manager (she wouldn't give me her name) refuses to refund my money. Not a care in the world about you or your finances. HORRIBLE

Highly recommended. Fit me in for a cleaning. Very disappointing not following any COVID protocols walked in receptionist using her mask as a chin guard went back to take x-rays no mask being worn. Great people just the process is not being managed. It starts with leadership. Did not want to take the risk. Two people in lobby not wearing mask Receptionist said we do not enforce it.

They have restored my quality of life. This is an A-1 team and the quality of their work is unmatched. When the dentist told me he does 200 hours of continuing education every year, I was sold. Brittany is awesome! If I could give them 100 stars I would!!!! Excellent work!!!

Best dentist office ever. Dr. Parker is absolutely wonderful. He took so much time explaining what my problem was and how he planned to treat it. The hygienist was extremely good at her job and I was very comfortable with her. The office staff is sweet and accommodating. So glad I found them!

Friendly and professional staff. I had to go in for an emergency which ended up needing a root canal. With all the COVID stuff going on I didn't think I had a chance at being seen. I was in need of a dentist who listened and took me seriously and I have found one in Dr. Parker. He is a very kind man who became very involved in my dental issues. I had to look no further once I was there. This office has an amazingly helpful staff as well. My new found hygienist, Ms. Reagan added her flair and knowledge in my cleaning. She is Awesom! I suggest paying them a visit. They will surprise you too when you feel like you're part of their family. My thanks to everyone there.

As a person that has had history with busted out teeth, cavities, and such, I don't like going to the dentist. For me it has always been like going to take a test that you know you will fail. With that said, I had my 3 front teeth pretty much busted out again by doing a face plant in the Mississippi mud when it was raining for a week during Christmas/New Years. (I am not from here) I read some reviews and thought "why not? Sounds ok". When I went in for my appointment I was pleased with how polite the staff was. The doctor that fixed me up, Dr. Miner, is top notch and also had a very good "bedside manner". I would recommend anyone to go see him and his staff because I know for sure that you will be taken care of. Btw, I had to pay $900, but it didn't take very long and the end result was excellent. I don't know how it will hold up, but I have faith in Dr. Miner's work.

My daughter and I have been going to Back Bay Dentistry for many years. Dr. Miner and Dr. Parker are both excellent dentists for adults and children. All of the staff is friendly and attentive. My hygienist Reagan is especially friendly, helpful, and can really rock her amazing scrub uniform!

I will never go back to Back Bay Dentistry or refer anyone to them anymore. Their front office staff which deals with billing are the worst. They do not go over cost of procedures with you. I had dental insurance and not once did they tell me that my insurance wasn't in their network when I provided the information. They would bill my non primary insurance first then my main dental insurance which seems like they doubling dipping to get paid. I thought I was going to pay maybe $40 or $50 for a minor filling for my son. Cost me $136.50 which is outrageous! Never again. They mainly want to cater to high end clients when their office is not that great looking. Wish I could give them no stars!!!!
