From there, he completed a Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tufts University-New England Medical Center in Boston, MA, where he published an article in the Journal of the Massachusetts Dental Society on a case report of a rare disease called aggressive fibromatosis treated with hemi-maxillectomy. As a result, he has co-authored more than 20 publications in both craniofacial genetics and stem cell research. For such extreme nerdiness, he was awarded with the coveted annual Harry Sicher Research Award which recognizes only the top and best overall research submitted by all orthodontic residencies in the country and was subsequently featured as a white-coat clad centerfold in the Pacific Review, and we have proof.
