Since 1980, Dr. Harrell has been providing dental treatment for the wonderful people of Mobile. He is dedicated to taking the time to do the right thing and in the right way, in a warm and caring manner. Dr. Harrell is committed to continually refining his skills with a commitment to the most advanced continuing education.
Dr. Harrell is a Mobile native and a graduate of Satsuma High School. He attended Spring Hill College, graduating in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He received a commission and entered the U.S. Army, subsequently being accepted into the U.S. Army Special Forces. While serving in an S.F. unit, he became interested in dentistry while working with deployed dentists. This interest prompted him to attend dental school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, where he graduated in 1979. He has received training in restorative and cosmetic dentistry through the University of Alabama, LSU and the Pankey Institute. Dr. Harrell is an active member in the American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association and the Mobile District Dental Society.
Dr. Harrell has been married to Lisa for 25 great years. He is blessed with two children: Hayden and MacKenzie. Hayden is currently in the Air Force and Mackenzie is in college. Dr. Harrell loves boating, fishing and hunting.

Our staff is uniquely trained and highly skilled, and we strive to provide unparalleled service to each patient. Almost all of our team has been working at Azalea Road Dental for ten years or more. Our staff consists of team members with specialized training and certifications. We make every effort to ensure you are comfortable and happy at each visit and that your dental needs have been met. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

More a comment than a complaint. After several visits the last one being what we thought was a final fitting for my mother-inlaw denture we are back again. We were told the lab had some concerns and need the fit reverified. In this this time we all need be aware time and gas are something no one whats to waste. I actual make this comment because the last appointment was needless waste of my time, my mother-inlaw and Dr Harrell's.

My heart was broken on today's visit because Kim was MIA. Being one of Dr.Harell's most loyal patients ( I think my first visit was in the 80's?) one would think Kim would have the red carpet rolled out for me with cheese and wine. Katie put her usual spell on me and before I could say " I don't like getting my teeth cleaned", I was already scheduled for my next visit. Azalea Dental gets 5 stars, Kim - gets a zero for being gone when I arrived
