Dr. Thomas Riley, a prominent Summerville dentist, considers himself a homegrown Summervillian through and through. His exposure to the community extends far back, as he attended Summerville High School, played soccer for the Summerville Soccer Club, and went to St. Pauls Episcopal Church while growing up. He then went on to attend Auburn University and the College of Charleston, where he finished with a degree in Chemistry.
In 2007, Dr. Riley and his wife Natalie opened Azalea Dental in an effort to serve the growing dental needs of the community. It is also through this practice that Dr. Riley aims to establish himself as a compassionate and caring practitioner. His vision is not just to be another dentist, but also someone who is part of the areas traditions and community. Dr. Riley is a true Summerville native and understands the communitys needs.
Dr. Riley believes in delivering the highest level of dental care with a personal touch to every patient who seeks his help. The team at Azalea Dental understands that dentistry can be overwhelming. Led by Dr. Riley, everyone on the Azalea Dental team takes the time to understand each patients point of view and unique dental situation to ensure a comfortable and pleasurable experience.
Pam is a dental hygienist and a native South Carolinian. She is a graduate of Trident Technical College with an associates degree in Allied Health Science. When shes not working, she enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. Her cheerful personality and gentle touch will make your dental cleaning an enjoyable experience.
Jen is originally from New England and moved to South Carolina in 2005. She LOVES dental assisting and it shows in her radiant smile. Don 't like going to the dentist? Jen will change your experience into a fun and relaxing one that you will want to repeat! When she 's not working, Jen enjoys spending time with her baby boy, Brody and husband Shawn. They like to take advantage of the beautiful South Carolina weather by fishing, boating, going to the beach and taking their 'fur baby' Bella for walks!
Debbie is a West Virginia native and a Mountaineer through and through. She moved to Summerville in 1995 and has enjoyed not having to deal with cold snowy winters! With over 35 years in the dental field, she can help you with any questions you may have while youre here. You never know where you may see her working in the office as her many years of experience have afforded her training in all staff positions. Debbie and her husband Eric enjoy camping, rock crawling, and relaxing at their country cabin.
Megan is a dental assistant with an Associates degree from Trident Technical College. She is also a graduate of Palmetto School of Career Development where she was number one in her class when graduating from the Chairside Dental Assistant program. Megan is also certified in CPR, OSHA, and X-Ray. She joined Azalea Dental in the fall of 2015. As part of her job, Megan enjoys getting to know our patients and helping them improve their smiles. She also appreciates the fact that she works with such a great team of dental professionals!
Megan was born in Moncks Corner and now resides in Summerville. When Megan isn't helping our patients, she loves going out on the boat and spending time with her husband, Brad, her daughter, Kinley, and her two labs, Jackie and Rainy.
Isla is a registered dental hygienist with an associates degree in Allied Health from Trident Technical College.She is a native to the Lowcountry and loves spending time with family and friends.Isla also enjoys bowling in a local league and just hanging out with her husband, Shayneand their dogs Rumble and Sven.The happy couple, along with the pups, are excited to welcome a baby girl in September!Isla's compassion and gentle touch will put the most anxious patient at ease.
Lauren is a graduate of Dental Assisting Training School of South Carolina. She began her career with Azalea Dental inApril2018. 'Smiling is something everyone should be confident about, and I want to make that happen. I want patients to feel comfortable and leave satisfied when visiting our office.' Born and raised in Ridgeville, SC she loves the Lowcountry and all it offers. In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time on the water and hanging out with friends. She is also a 'Fur Mom' to her fur baby Nelly.

This was, hands down, the best dentist experience of my life. Pam was awesome! Highly recommend to anyone. My wife and I have moved around between several states and been to a lot of dentists. We won't go anywhere else as long as we are in the Charleston area.

Please, please do not go to this dentist if your pregnant, my daughter went for a cleaning while pregnant what mistake that was, instead of a cleaning, these people poke around in her gum's, two days later we thought she had a stroke the doctor said it is Bell's palsy brought on by the procedure done in this office, 3mos later we are still dealing with this now she's scared it's permanently damaged.

Great Dentist, wonderful hygienistsand personable staff. Every patient is their most important, or at least it seames that way. My wife and I are very picky about our dental hygien, we found Dr Riley and we aren't going anywhere else.

After using the same dentist for 25+ years, I was faced with the challenge of finding a new dentist about 3 years ago. After doing some research, I chose Dr Thomas Riley in Summerville. All of my experiences with Azalea Dental have been great! Their office is modern & attractive and their equipment is state of the art. Dr Riley is a great guy who puts you at ease and he is a highly skilled/competent dentist. The patient spends most of his time with the dental hygienist and this is nearly as important as your satisfaction with the dentist. My hygienist, Pam Goff, is fantastic...one of the best I have ever had! She does a great job cleaning your teeth and is very gentle so that it is as comfortable as possible. Moreover, she has a very nice personality so the visits are always pleasant. I highly recommend Azalea Dental!

After a not so wonderful experience with a new dental practice when I moved down south, someone recommended Azalea Dental. My husband went first and liked them so much more than the first dental practice we had gone to since moving. I went today and had a great experience. Felt like they actually listened and heard what I was saying, and they fixed a problem I was having in literally 5 seconds. This is a dental practice, not a dental factory. Very pleased.

I am thrilled to have found Azalea Dental . In today's Era it is a relief to find a dentist who will perform many services instead of referring you out . Dr.Riley performed a simple procedure in record time to my amazement. He got my bite correct on first try. He has a delightful chairside manner which kept my " dentist anxiety down ". On the plus side his practice takes my insurance which is So helpful in today's economy. Anyone searching for a dentist : you will be pleased with Dr. Riley. Supporting our veterans as well. The day I made the call to office I was happy to be given an appointment within days, not weeks .

Dr. Riley and all of his staff have been amazing every single visit. They explain treatment plans, work with insurance to figure out estimations of cost, and listen to my concerns and any issues I've had with my teeth. They have been wonderful with our daughter too!! Cannot recommend them enough!
