Following his studies, Dr. Vasamsetti went on to become the director of dental services for the Pender County Health Department. During his time there, he sought to meet oral health needs in the community by launching Forever Smiles a childrens mobile dental clinic that has been the subject of multiple prestigious awards, such as the GlaxoSmithKline Child Recognition Award. Forever Smiles was also awarded the North Carolina Outstanding County Program Award in recognition of its comprehensive dental service to underserved populations.

In addition, Dr. Vasamsetti is an Invisalign Preferred Provider, someone who has a significant level of experience in treating patients with the Invisalign System.

Outside of the office, Dr. Vasamsetti continues to serve his community as the chairman of the board of directors at St. Marys Health Clinic, where he also works as a volunteer dental care provider in his spare time. He is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Carolinas Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. There, he oversees clinical instruction of third- and fourth-year dental students.

When he isnt helping change the lives of patients in and around Raleigh, Dr. Vasamsetti can be found playing competitive tennis, traveling, and spending sunny days out on the water with his four-legged companion, Abby.

Dr. Turek was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, but grew up in California, specifically the Silicon Valley area, because her father was an engineer for IBM. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she had worked as a dental assistant; she enjoyed the field so much that she decided to pursue a career in dentistry.

After completing her doctorate in San Francisco and professional training (residency) in North Miami Beach, she joined the NC Department of Health and Human Services to provide dental care in the rural areas of North Carolina, where it is difficult to find. She spent more thanseven years working in clinics to provide dental care to the underserved and continues to love her work today.

What she loves about her job is making people smile: Her goal with every patient is to have them leave the dentist chair with a positive, pain-free experience and feeling good about their smile. As a lifelong lover of the beach, she tries to stay as close as she can to the sand and waves.

Achievements:CPR and AED Certified, OSHA trained, previous president of the Tri County Dental Society, secretary of the St. Mary Health Center Board of Directors, volunteer for Mission of Mercy and the Wilmington St. Mary Health Center, completed ICOI Fellowship Program (International Congress of Oral Implantologists)

Dr. Cole attended NC State University for her undergraduate education (go Wolfpack!) and then moved to the eastern part of the state to obtain her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Cole loves staying on top of her education and keeping up with the latest research and technologies. Her favorite part of dentistry is that each patient is different and it is never boring! She strives to create individualized plans for each patient and loves to help them achieve their best oral health and their best smile!

We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.

This was my first visit to the office. I was warmly greeted at the front desk. I was quickly lead by the friendly and patient, dental assistant Rebecca, who took x-rays, reviewed my medical chat and prepped me for my cleaning. Hygienist Amy was great. She explained what she was about to do at every turn. Amy was very thorough with the cleaning procedure. I highly recommend her. Dr Cole examined my gums and teeth. She offered advise and a referral to an orthodontist due to the movement of my lower front teeth. I was impressed with her demeanor. Amy and I then scheduled my next cleaning in 3 months, which has been my normal protocol for the past 10 years. I was very pleased with my engagement with all the staff. I will highly recommend the practice when the opportunities arise. Thank you all providing such an elevated experience! Fred Pulcino

Excellent office! Compared to the last dentist I've been to nearby this practice was light years better!! Waiting area was clean, inviting, and beautiful. The hygienist who did my cleaning was excellent, very kind and professional. Dr. Cole was great! Very gentle, professional, and educational. Going to the dentist is never a super enjoyable experience but I will choose to continue coming back here.

Axial has been great, I've been going here for over a year. I've had a very demanding job which frequently has lead to myself rescheduling. They have never given me a hard time and always made me feel welcome. I also like a large number of people don't care to go to the dentist or doctor often so to have a pleasant experience like they provide here every time makes a world of a difference.
