As a leading dental practice located in Haymarket, Virginia, Dr. Tontra Lowe provides outstanding dental care to residents of Haymarket, Gainesville, and surrounding areas. After graduating with honors from Alabama A&M University, she was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the active Army, where her path to dentistry began. She currently serves in the District of Columbia Army National Guard.
Dr. Lowe received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in 2005. Upon graduation, she completed a general practice residency at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine. She understands that fear of the dentist is real and has taken many additional hours of study in sedation dentistry to provide the most awesome, serene, and comfortable environment possible. Smile makeovers, implants to replace missing teeth, comfortable dentures that do not move, and teeth whitening are all available options that Dr. Lowe offers patients to enhance their smile. In addition, Dr. Lowe is a proud provider of ClearCorrect Aligners in Haymarket, Virginia. ClearCorrect is the clear and simple alternative to braces, which is for children and adults. Its a series of clear, custom-made, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth as you wear them. Dr. Lowe is practicing orthodontics as a general dentist.

She and her husband, Jay, have two boysMalik and Malcolm. Malik attends the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry, and Malcolm attends the University of Alabama (UA) majoring in Public Relations and Pre-Law. Dr. Tundra Lowe is by far the most phenomenal dentist I have ever been too! I've been going to Awesome Smiles since 2014. I had some pretty bad experiences while serving in the military and have high anxiety about going to the dentist. Dr. Lowe is very personal and walked me through every step of the way everything was carefully explained to me while also using state of the art equipment. Her staff is also very kind and attentive while taking care of me the moment I walked through the door. I would highly recommend Dr. Lowe to anyone that reads this.

I want to start off by saying that I have suffered from TMJ for the majority of my life. I was experiencing daily pain on the right side of my mouth for almost a year and a half that was worse than my normal TMJ pain to the point where I thought my problem had to do with a bad filling or even a damaged tooth but found relief shortly after becoming a patient of Doctor Lowe. My first appointment changed everything and she managed to notice something that my previous Dentist didn't, I had no idea that a simple and painless occlusal adjustment on the right side of my mouth could help tremendously! I still have TMJ symptoms but nowhere near as painful as what they had been for the past year and a half. I noticed later that day that it felt so much better to do simple things like chew my food! I wasn't having any pain on the right side of my face and ear , and I haven't felt that pain return and it's been well over a month since I've had it done. It feels so good to be 100% rid of that pain and I will forever be grateful for her services! Not many dentists know the deeper problems of TMJ sufferers! I also received my very first custom night guard and I am in love with it! I live in the Dulles area and it is so worth the drive to her office!

Absolutely love Awsome Smiles Dental! The staff make you feel like family from the moment you get there. I had a bad dental experience some years ago and have a tendency to grip the chair as soon as they come in the room but Dr Lowe and her staff quickly put you at ease and make sure your comfortable throughout the process.

Dr. Lowe went above and beyond to research treatment for me. She takes the time to explain what is being done and why. My family and I never have to worry about a bad experience at Awesome Smiles. Fantastic experience today at Awesome Smiles. The front desk staff are extremely courteous and make checking in and checking out a breeze. I was thoroughly impressed with the procedures that have been implemented for Covid and felt completely safe while I was there. Maria, Dr. Lowe's assistant was attentive to my concerns and provided a thorough briefing to Dr. Lowe before my examination. I love Dr. Lowe's approach to dental health. She leave no stone unturned. She put me on a treatment plan- what needed to taken care of immediately and what we needed to keep an eye on. Dr. Lowe seems genuinely interested in keeping her patients healthy and it doesn't hurt that she's got a great sense of humor! This is a very well run practice. It's no surprise that they've been voted Haymarket's Best for the last several years. I am sure to return and would not hesitate to refer Dr. Lowe to family and friends!

My family and I love Dr. Lowe! She makes the experience of going to the dentist not so scary. She's so fun to talk to. She always comes up with a great treatment plan and talks you through all of it. The staff is always kind and friendly. We love Awesome Smiles!

This is a horrible place. I did not have a good experience with customer service. I cancelled an appointment for the second time due to an emergency but was still charged $300 on my next appointment. The staff are very passive aggressive and do not work to resolve issues on your behalf. I do not recommend them if you would like to be treated with respect and dignity.

First encounter was all positive. From the receptionists' greetings, the thorough background information sought, the assistant tecnician's completing X-rays etc., right to the meet and greet with Dr.Lowe, who was friendly, and willing to explain all work needed and the why for the need.
