Dr. Volchonok is a dual Ivy-League trained Board-Certified Periodontist and Oral Implantologist with advanced training in minimally-invasive surgical and laser periodontal therapy procedures. Dr. Volchonok graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, at the top of his class with over 10 clinical awards in Periodontics, Implant Dentistry, and Prosthodontics as well as being inducted into the National Dental Honors Society. Uniquely, during each of his years at dental school, he was awarded the Deans Scholarship, the highest merit honor given by the prestigious University.
Dr. Volchonok continued his training for three additional years at Columbia University in New York City, where he earned both a Certificate in Periodontics and a Masters of Science degree for his original research in the field of implant dentistry. Dr. Volchonok received recognition and awards from Columbia University and regionally through the Northeast Society of Periodontists. After graduating from the nations most prestigious Periodontics programs, Dr. Volchonok became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a distinction held by fewer than 1% of dentists in the world. Dr. Volchonok has continued to advance his education by becoming a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a Fellow of the International Academy of Laser Dentistry. He has also received additional advanced training in minimally-invasive gum recession treatments, laser treatment of gum disease, and computer guided implant and prosthetic treatments. He also is the founder and director of the NYC Interdisciplinary Study Club and lectures other dentists and surgeons throughout the country.
Currently Dr. Volchonok maintains two cutting edge private practices dedicated to Minimally-Invasive Periodontal Surgery, Laser Periodontal Therapy, and Biological Implant Dentistry in Manhattan, NY and Greenwich, CT. Dr. Volchonok has earned significant recognition from his patients and his peers by being continuously recognized as a Top Doctor in NY and CT and recently, he has been recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 specialist in the country. Dr. Volchonok has earned a reputation of being a progressive and knowledgeable periodontist with a caring and attentive passion to helping patients achieve lasting oral and systemic health.

Dr. Michele Volchonok received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the prestigious Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University in Philadelphia. Graduating with high honors, Dr. Volchonok continued her training and is a Fellow of the Institute of Advanced Laser Dentistry. She is also certified in advanced dentistry therapies such as Invisalign, Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique (S.M.A.R.T), NightLase airway and snoring treatments, and iTero 3D intra-oral scanning. She is also a member of the Greenwich and Connecticut Dental Societies. Dr. Volchonok believes in practicing with the latest dental technologies and concepts and thereby attends continuous education courses regularly all over the world. She values bringing this knowledge to her patient care.

I've been coming here for over a year now and cannot recommend both Dr. Alex and Mahshid, who gives me regular periodontal cleanings. Mahshid takes great care of me and my very complicated bridge! I always walk out feeling good and clean!

They will charge you $350 for cleaning even when your insurance covers it. You will be asked to pay front, but after the insurance paid the company, they will not refund you. You need to keep chasing and chasing and chasing. You will be told that insurance sent you a check; the office sent you a check - none of these are real. I just got a refund for my payment 4 months ago. now I am working on chasing my last month's payment.

I cannot be more grateful to have chosen Dr Volchonok to put myself into his hands. He's truly an artist and his care and attention to detail is "on another level". Once you get there, you are greeted by his amazing staff that makes you feel comfortable and treat you like family!!! If you want the BEST that's out there then Dr Volchonok is the ONE. For years I had difficulties getting dental work done Because of a severe gagging issues. But at dr VOLCHONOK's office they put me at ease and were very patient with me.so much so that I'm getting back in there to get some major dental work done very soon. Dr. Volchonok and staff are very kind and dedicated to helping their patients. I have had a wonderful experience with them. My cleaning was painful but they took good care of me. I'm so grateful I found them. From the secretary to the doctor everyone is super nice and helpful.

I love this place! As soon as I enter I am greeted by the wonderful front desk team of Katherine and Taina. Always very friendly and professional. I am normally seen a few minutes after arriving. The dental assistants are very welcoming and accommodating. Now for the big cheese Dr. Volchonok! ( Dr. Alex, since I can't pronounce his last name lol) he's a great very accomplish, skilled, knowledgeable periodontist. A professional when it comes to his patients. Down to earth. Easy to talk to kind of doctor. He's full of advice and answers to any questions you may have. It's my pleasure to have him lead and guide me through my Invisalign treatment. The process is seamless. I noticed improvements fairly quickly and surprisingly no discomfort. I highly recommend this team of professionals. They have exceeded my expectations of what a dental team is capable of doing. For example, just recently as part of my many pleasant conversations with the staff. I informed them that I was getting married soon. They were very kind and congratulated me and my wife. What came next was one of the greatest surprises me and my wife have experienced ! Dr. Volchonok and staff personally went out their way to surprise me and my wife with a mail delivery of a bouquet of flowers! I may add these were quality flower$, not corner bodega ones lol. We were floored by his incredibly kind gestured. I am forever grateful to Dr. Volchonok and his staff. I am proud to call them my friends. You guys are the real MVP's Hashtag not an anti dentite lol. Dr Volchonok and his staff were great! Dr Volchonok was very knowledgeable and presented me with options and explained the procedure, recovery and all other issues clearly. He was able to fit me in for the surgery quickly and coordinated with my dentist as needed. The procedure went really well, and his and his staff's follow up was timely and thoughtful. The pre and post op instructions were detailed and precise. I highly recommend Dr Volchonok!!

Dr. V is absolutely the best. I had a Zoom consultation with him. He had my x-rays and showed me on the screen exactly why the compromised teeth needed a plan of action. Dr. V also thinks outside box and brings creative thinking to the problem. He's also caring and very attentive.

I've had bad experiences before with dentists. However, Dr. Volchonok is a consummate professional, great communicator, knowledgeable, compassionate and extremely patient. The moment you walk in you are greeted with enthusiasm and kindness. I recommend him a million times over & I'll be going back for more. Once you have the best you don't want anyone else. He is phenomenal
