Bad experience with another practice (Grayslake) in terms of follow up and scheduling. First place wanted an additional consultation but had told us the next visit would be dental work. We refused a second consultation and exited the office. Rolled the dice and won big time with Avon. The other place had two solutions. Avon offered another alternative to a root canal or extraction. Received dental care the same day. The key words are: polite, professional, courteous, thorough, reasonable (rates), and cleanliness.

Don't usually have to wait long, they have a pretty seamless system for handoffs between dental hygienists and dentist, and are friendly but efficient. Staff is quick to try to help with any issues or questions with appointments or billing, and they work hard to accomodate any emergencies. They maintain COVID protocols so everything feels clean and safe.

I absolutely love this place. I never wait more than 5/10 minutes to be seen, the pieces for the X-rays don't cause pain, and my teeth are super clean. Best of all is the staff, always friendly and welcoming. They take the time to ensure your comfort and answer any questions and concerns. I really like that there are two persons cleaning your teeth, not one like other places. Makes for a better experience and outcome. I also like that it's really easy to schedule an appointment online and they send you reminders. The dentists here have also been very pleasant, honest, and thorough. I actually look forward to my next visit. The place is also very clean and hygienic.

Update Feb 2 2022 Sadly changing my opinion of Avon Dental. Although the staff are wonderful, the dentist completely missed the mark or just did not want to address the fact that my tooth is cracked. Pain since Nov 2021. Ended up going to another dental office, I was shown the cracked tooth via xray. I am now scheduled for oral surgery this week. I really did trust the dentist to do right by me. I am disappointed, to say the least. So, yeah the below review can be trashed...First dental practice that I am comfortable with. From the dentists to the office staff to the techs, so very welcoming. The dentists are gentle and knowledgeable. This practice has shown me they are there for the well being of their patients. I highly recommend Avon Dental of Round Lake Beach

This place is amazing! I was a bit late and they were very understanding. Yesenia answered the phone very quickly and professional and told me not to worry. I was in an out in 30 minutes tops. From x rays to cleaning and seeing doctor Banzal. Will definitely be making my 6 month appt to come back!

Staff is always friendly. It's easy to get appointments that work with our family's schedule so we don't have to take off work or school. I also feel they don't try to look for things wrong just to do another procedure-- very honest.
