Iwona has been with the Avon Dental Group since 1999. She was born and raised in Poland and moved to the USA in 1988. Iwona studied Dental Assisting and Hygiene at Tunxis Community College and graduated in 1998 with an Associates Degree in Science. She currently lives in Burlington and she enjoys hiking, swimming, and gardening with her husband and two sons.

John graduated from Tunxis Community College in 1995 and has been with the Avon Dental Group since 1996. He lives in Avon with his wife, Lisa, and their four children, Jordan, Sierra, Marlon, and Jack. He deployed to Afghanistan with the Connecticut National Guard in 2006 and retired in 2009 with the rank of First Sergeant. John and Lisa enjoy gardening and coffee dates most weekends.

Heidi graduated in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She also has an Associates degree in Allied Health Science from Endicott College in Beverly, MA. Heidi has been working for the Avon Dental Group since 1993. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, hiking, running, and gardening.

Jane grew up in Staffordshire, England. She graduated from Dental Assisting School in 1982. She moved to the US in 1984 and graduated from Tunxis Community College with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2005. She has been with the Avon Dental Group since 2005. She currently lives in Southington with her husband and three children. In her spare time she enjoys reading, gardening and gardening.

Shannon has been working at Avon Dental Group for almost 6 years and has been a dental assistant since 1991. She lives in Canton with her husband and daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, hiking, and visiting with all her friends and family in New Hampshire.

A graduate of Middlebury College and the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and Saint Francis Dental Residency program, Dr. Robert Breckinridge participates in numerous continuing dental education programs and is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has been named a Hartford Magazines Top Dentist numerous times.

Dr. Breckinridge is a lifelong and active resident of Avon and was selected as Avon Citizen of the Year in 2011. He was president of the Avon Land Trust for 7 years and currently is on their board of directors. As part of his love of nature, he has served on the Avon Natural Resources Commission and the Avon Wetlands Commission. He lives in Avon with his wife and has one daughter. He enjoys golf, tennis, boating and skiing.

Dr. Peter Knowles is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, having previously graduated from the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine. He has completed an intensive program at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study. Dr. Knowles was listed as a contributor to an article on Dental Implants in Dentistry Today. He has received recognition as a Greater Hartford Top Dentist for numerous years.

Dr. Daniel Geelan has been with Avon Dental Group for 26 years and personally knows the positive, life changing impact dentistry can have when as a child he had his own teeth repaired following several sports related injuries. Through the process, he loved that the dental profession was the perfect combination of art, science, medicine, engineering, and social interaction. Getting his smile back had such a profound impact that it became the primary reason for him entering the dental profession himself.

Dr. Geelan is a distinguished graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He completed a General Practice Residency through the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Haven in affiliation with the Yale School of Medicine and the Hospital of St. Raphael. He is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Connecticut State Dental Association, Hartford Dental Society, and is a Certified Invisalign provider.

Dr. Gregory Solof has been with the Avon Dental Group since 2002. Dr. Solof is a graduate of Brandeis University and the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He completed a General Practice Residency at Danbury Hospital in affiliation with the Yale University School of Medicine. He was awarded his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2009 and is currently working towards his Mastership award. Dr. Solof is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, and the Hartford Dental Society. He is a certified Invisalign provider. As a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry he enjoys placing and restoring dental implants.

Dr. Claire Fagan joined Avon Dental Group in 2007, beginning her dental career as a dental assistant. After working there for 2 years, she decided to return to school to pursue her Doctorate in Dental Medicine.

Dr. Fagan is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the University Of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. She completed a General Practice Residency at Hartford Hospital. Dr. Fagan is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, Hartford Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry and is currently working towards her Fellowship award.

Dr. Rafla attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, earning a Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree in 1990. In 1993 he completed a specialty certification in periodontics. Dr. Rafla also interned at the University of South California School of Dentistry, where he received the recognition of chief resident. In addition to being a member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Rafla is also a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, International Congress of Implantologists, Massachusetts Dental Society, and Worcester District Dental Society. Dr. Rafla is a diplomat of the International College of Oral Implantology and works with Spear Study groups and the International Team of Implantology.

Dr. Rafla has been practicing in the area for over 22 years and continues to provide excellent, state-of-the-art periodontal care to all of his patients. Dr. Rafla incorporates the latest proven dental technology to create a superior clinical environment. As a part of his commitment to ongoing education, Dr. Rafla organizes and lectures in monthly continuing-education meetings, including Spear Study groups and the Central Massachusetts Implant Team of Implantology group.

His Dental Anesthesiology Residency is one of only nine such programs in the United States and Canada. This intensive training was completed in Brooklyn, NY at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center and its academic affiliate, New York Medical College. Seeking to fully integrate the Oral-Systemic relationship, Dr. Powe went on to complete his second Specialty Certification in Periodontology at the University of Pittsburgh, developing proficiency in Implantology and Oral Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Powe is Certified in Wilckodontics (Accelerated orthodontics), also known as Surgically Facilitated Orthodontic Therapy, Certified in Chao Pinhole Surgery Technique (PST), Certified in Botox and Dermfill, Zygomatic and Pterygoid Implants, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

During his career, Dr. Powe has been honored to be awarded The Frank M. Lapeyrolerie Memorial Award, for exceptional ability in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The American Academy of Craniofacial Pain Award. The Jonathan Vincent and Lois Hart Reid Award, Golden Forceps, in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Howard University Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 4th Year Student Award. Citation recipient from MD State Senator Ulysses Currie for work on the creation of the Deamonte Driver Dental Van.

Dr. Powe is a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the National Dental Association, and the International Team for Implantology.
