Dr. Bussiere obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1991. He then went on to his periodontal residency and received his Certificate of Periodontology from The University of Connecticut in 1993.
Following his academic tenure, Dr. Bussiere worked with The World Health Organization, Save the Children and The Indian Health Service. As an active member of The American Academy of General Dentistry, The American Academy of Periodontal Dentistry, The Connecticut State Dental Association, The American Dental Society, The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Dr. Bussiere is able to provide his patients with valuable and modern techniques.

Dr. Khan is native to NYC and received her doctor of dental medicine at New York University School of Dentistry in 2010. Upon graduation she completed 1 year General Practice Residency at New York-Presbyterian/Queens.
Following that she was selected for a 2 yr Dental Anesthesiology Residency at Wyckoff Hospital in Brooklyn providing general anesthesia and iv sedation for dentally phobic patients, children, as well as patients going for general surgery. Dr. Christian, a Connecticut native, received her dental degree from the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine. She continued her dental education at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where she completed a three-year residency program in the specialty of Endodontics.
Prior to her dental studies, Dr. Christian graduated from Boston University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Physiology and a Masters of Science degree in Biology from Central Connecticut State University. Dr. Christian is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the Connecticut State Dental Association, and the Hartford Dental Society. Dr. Christian enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, running occasionally, and cooking.

I have been a patient since the Avon office opened. I've had lots of work done. I really like my hygienist Nasley. I've noticed that compared to the early days, the office is now so busy that it takes a really long time to get an appointment. I will add that you will rarely see the doctor for more than 15 minutes. That's why I call him Batman. In reality he relies completely on his staff and spreads himself out over several patients all at the same time. Another thing that bothers me is that he is never there for my Periodic Oral Evaluation but yet I am charged $75 twice a year.

Dr. Bussiere has been our family dentist for nearly 10 years - for my wife and I, and our two kids. I rarely write Google reviews in general, but this time out of curiosity I looked up the existing Google reviews, and was frankly very surprised to note some negative reviews, among the mostly positive ones. The positive reviews make sense, but the negative reviews are really out of character for Avon Center Dentistry. Of all the dentists I have seen over the last 30+ years, Dr. Bussiere and his staff clearly stand out as among the best in dental practice: nice dental office, use of latest equipment, well-informed, friendly and accommodating, and front-office staff that is always friendly and flexible. My wife has dental visit anxiety and tends to get cold feet before dental visits. She has frequently called to reschedule at short notice. We always laugh it off. The hygienists we have seen have been considerate and skilled, and great with young children. We have also had other non-routine dental work done by Dr. Bussiere and his team. All visits have been very informed, considered, and positive experiences. One will likely see a dentist more frequently than other doctors, so very important to build a strong relationship with your dentist and their practice.

stay away from this place . I went in for a cleaning and the dental hygienist was so rough I had to ask to stop . Then she continued the same way . I got out of the chair and said what are you doing go easy , I asked you already . She then starts yelling at me that I'm being disrespectful . How does that work , she working in my mouth and I'm being mean she says. what .I complain about her hurting me and she gets upset weird ... Never again

Dr. Bussiere has been my dentist for over 20 years. I started with him in Canton, then went to his Hebron practice, and I am now a patient at his Avon practice. Dr. Bussiere is excellent dentist, as is his staff. I highly recommend Dr. Bussiere.

I called to make my first appointment today. The person on the phone sounded very put out by the experience. I know help is hard to find...I'm only hoping they had to settle for her and that she's not the permanent face of their business. Sorry for them if she is. I'd rather pay more and stick with my periodontist who is out of "network" than call this office back again.

Dr. Bussiere has capped many of my teeth which were filled with metal fillings long ago and he also has replaced some of my previous caps. He is extremely good at what he does and works so efficiently with his assistant that every procedure is over and done before you know it. I am a person who hates the drill so it is always a relief when it is over quickly. There was never any pain in my procedures. I am embarrassed I don't know his assistant's name but she is also the best I have ever encountered. The office is very pleasant and all the staff are great. I should mention the technology used is always the latest.

I cannot begin to tell you how fantastic this dental office performs dentistry. It is so nice and clean. The staff is so warm, professional and welcoming. I was a dental assistant, in my youth, and they are doing everything, perfectly. Dr. Bussiere is absolutely fantastic. The front office is so helpful and honest. My last dental office was a major disappointment. But this office has accurate billing practices. They also follow CDC Covid protocols. I felt safe and comfortable at Avon Center Dentistry. I highly recommend them to anyone needing dental care.

I had a great experience for my regular cleaning/x-rays/check-up. The office was very clean, the staff was friendly and Chelsea was wonderful for my x-rays, cleaning and check up. My teeth feel great and I'm looking forward to going back in 6 months!

I had a really bad experience in this office last year. I had a tooth cracked and needed root canal. The office does not have doctors that can perform root canal therapy on site, they use a traveling doctor who was only available once a week. Due to all kinds of scheduling issue I was in pain for weeks waiting for the appointment. Dr Bussiere did not have much simpathy over my situation, when I complained to him, he said "well this is your tooth, what do you want me to do about it" I could not believe what he said to me. After the root canal and crown, ($2500 later) I changed office. I wasn't going to leave a bad review - have never done so for any business, but a year later, the tooth that had a root canal and expensive crown starts to hurt again. I had other crowns done from 20 years ago that never had a problem. This brings back the bad memory. I wished I checked review here when I decided to switch to them 2 years ago. Their hygienists are very good and thorough. Office is nice and clean. But I would advise to stay away if you need root canals

This office caused a infection in my sons mouth. Then refused care and I had to take him to the ER to fix the damaged they caused. The dentist refused assistance and meeting on multiple occasions. Do not use this terrible business.
