Dr. Avila and his family are active in community affairs, including educating 1,400 second graders yearly on how to care for their teeth. He is married and has two children and has practiced orthodontics exclusively in Indiana since 1997.
We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Darla lives with her husband Donnie in Anderson and has two sons, Christopher (wife Abbie) and Kyle (wife Danielle). She a is grammy to three beautiful granddaughters, Emmerson, Monroe, and Ella. She previously worked at Anderson University. She loves camping and reading. She enjoys greeting all the patients and their families when they walk in the office. She joined our staff in June 2003.
Brandi Started working in our office in March 2016. She has been in dentistry since 1996. She is married to Jason and they have a daughter (Kylee), who attends Blue River. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, and seeing Gary Allan concerts.
Karin joined our staff in 2001. She manages accounts receivables and payables for Dr. Avila. She also assists patients with their dental insurance concerns. Karin holds a two-year associate's degree from Ball State and has attended several continuing education classes that relate to her role in Dr. Avila's practice. Karin resides in Dunkirk and has two daughters, Carrie and Kelly. She is the proud grandmother of two grandsons and five granddaughters. Karin enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching her husband Rick drag race. She also likes working on home improvements and reading.
Kelly resides in Muncie with her husband, Hank, and their daughters. She has three great step-daughters. Kelly is a graduate of Jay County High School and Ivy Tech. She joined our staff in October of 2000 and loves working here with her Mom. She meets with our new patients and introduces them to orthodontics. She enjoys spending time with her family.
Carla joined Dr. Avila's team in 2015 when her former employer, Mark Turner, retired. She has over 30 years experience in dentistry, which ranges from general, oral surgery, and orthodontics. She is married to her husband Jim. Between them, they have four children and seven grandchildren. Carla enjoys time at Lake Webster with family and friends.
Kim started working for Dr. A in April of 2017 and is excited to join the team. She graduated from International Business College in 2016 and obtained her Expanded Functions Certificate. Kim has 1 daughter and a fianc, Nick. She enjoys traveling and going to races.

My daughter and I made a visit to Avila Orthodontics after being referred by our primary dentist. Although we visited for a simple consultation, we were welcomed, quickly and thoroughly informed about what we needed to do next to start our journey with braces. We look forward to sharing a better smile, at a reasonable cost, after moving forward with Avila Orthodontics!

We LOVE Dr. Avila and his staff! They are super nice and genuinely care about their patients!! We have one daughter who is completely done with her treatment-2 years out, and one who JUST got her braces on. We have NEVER had any issues with the service, staff, or treatment. They are very affordable compared to ALL of the others in our area and offer a wonderful payment plan. They also make it super easy to pay, offering online pay, phone pay, etc... I HIGHLY recommend Avila Orthodontics!! Thank you for loving my kids!!

My sons teeth are looking awesome already and it's been about 7 months since he's got his braces. Dr A and his staff are AWESOME and extremely friendly left this review 10 months and we are still satisfied with the way Zy's teeth are looking and the way the staff still treats us. Our daughter will be next

I went to Avila Orthodontics a few years ago for my braces and the staff is wonderful. Everyone working there was always in a good mood and we're always so friendly. I always recommend Avila. To this day whenever I see Dr. Avila, he always greets me by name and stops to say hi.

Dr Avila is awesome! I have TMJ and was having major issues with lockjaw. I went to see him and he was great! He's very nice and helpful! I got a custom mouth piece and a schedule when to wear it. Now my jaw hasn't locked in a long time!
