Dr. Avila and his family are active in community affairs, including educating 1,400 second graders yearly on how to care for their teeth. He is married and has two children and has practiced orthodontics exclusively in Indiana since 1997.

Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Darla lives with her husband Donnie in Anderson and has two sons, Christopher (wife Abbie) and Kyle (wife Danielle). She a is grammy to three beautiful granddaughters, Emmerson, Monroe, and Ella. She previously worked at Anderson University. She loves camping and reading. She enjoys greeting all the patients and their families when they walk in the office. She joined our staff in June 2003.
Brandi Started working in our office in March 2016. She has been in dentistry since 1996. She is married to Jason and they have a daughter (Kylee), who attends Blue River. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, and seeing Gary Allan concerts.
Karin joined our staff in 2001. She manages accounts receivables and payables for Dr. Avila. She also assists patients with their dental insurance concerns. Karin holds a two-year associate's degree from Ball State and has attended several continuing education classes that relate to her role in Dr. Avila's practice. Karin resides in Dunkirk and has two daughters, Carrie and Kelly. She is the proud grandmother of two grandsons and five granddaughters. Karin enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching her husband Rick drag race. She also likes working on home improvements and reading.
Kelly resides in Muncie with her husband, Hank, and their daughters. She has three great step-daughters. Kelly is a graduate of Jay County High School and Ivy Tech. She joined our staff in October of 2000 and loves working here with her Mom. She meets with our new patients and introduces them to orthodontics. She enjoys spending time with her family.
Carla joined Dr. Avila's team in 2015 when her former employer, Mark Turner, retired. She has over 30 years experience in dentistry, which ranges from general, oral surgery, and orthodontics. She is married to her husband Jim. Between them, they have four children and seven grandchildren. Carla enjoys time at Lake Webster with family and friends.
Kim started working for Dr. A in April of 2017 and is excited to join the team. She graduated from International Business College in 2016 and obtained her Expanded Functions Certificate. Kim has 1 daughter and a fianc, Nick. She enjoys traveling and going to races.
