Dr. Katherine Ahn (Wallace) began her educational journey into dentistry by attending the UCLA School of Dentistry. After graduating in 1993, she completed a two-year pediatric residency at UCLA where she acquired skills in craniofacial development and orthodontics, which has proven invaluable to her particular focus on jaw development and healthy airway support.

Dr. Ahn has stayed at the forefront of dentistry by completing mini-residencies and comprehensive programs in Neuromuscular Dentistry with LVI, Craniofacial Pain and TMJ Therapy with the AACP, Dental Sleep Medicine with the TMJ Sleep Therapy Centre and Growth-Guidance and Airway-Focused Orthodontics with FBI. Dr. Ahn also has extensive training in Myofunctional Therapy with Joy Moeller and Frenuloplasty with The Breathe Institute (TBI), to which she is also an Affiliate.

Dr. Tim Yu DDS, MSD is a Board Certified specialty-trained orthodontist focusing his practice on the growth and development of the craniofacial complex, orthodontic TMD treatment, and facial esthetics. He takes a comprehensive approach to treatment, working with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, dentists, orofacial myofunctional therapists, and breathing experts to deliver quality care to patients.

Dr. Yu trained at the University of the Pacific for his orthodontic specialty, where he completed his MSD looking at the soft tissue effects of maxillomandibular surgery for sleep apnea. He has had numerous accolades for his research, including awards from the American Association of Dental Research, and has presented his research at the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics and the American Association of Orthodontics.

He is an active member in dental associations, where he currently is serving on the Government Affairs Council with the California Dental Association to support patient protections and increasing access to care for underserved populations.

Dr. Coppelson is a board-certified and fellowship-trained Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. He graduated from both the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC (D.D.S.) and the University of Maryland School of Medicine (M.D.). He completed a residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Maryland & R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center- serving as chief resident in his final year. He then completed a fellowship in Advanced Maxillofacial Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital where he focused on the expansion and augmentation of the facial skeleton for conditions like obstructive sleep apnea. He is published and active in clinical research in topics involving corrective jaw surgery, sleep-disordered breathing, and TMJ disorders. His private practice is based out of The Breathe Institute in the community of Westwood. Dr. Coppelson brings the knowledge and experience necessary to stay on the cutting edge of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Coppelson practices a wide scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery, minimally invasive jaw expansion, dental implants, and management of wisdom teeth.
