Dr. Kimura was born in Northern California, and then moved to Hawaii where he lived until he attended Loma Linda University. After his education Dr. Kimura moved to the San Diego area where he met his wife Diane, and began his family. Outside of the office, Dr. Kimura enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is an avid runner and spends his time preparing for several marathons that he participates in throughout the year. Dr. Kimura loves the game of golf and is often seen in of the office working on his swing.
For over 20 years, Dr. Kimura has specialized in general, full mouth reconstructive and implant dentistry for patients that want routine or cosmetic dentistry, as well as those seeking full mouth reconstruction. Dr. Kimura has an extensive background in overall health and holistic dentistry. An important part of his practice is providing a comfortable and calming environment for our patients.

My family and I have been going here over 7 years. No complaints, hygienists have been very good, Dr Kimura amazing. While it is hard to get a live person on phone, I've never had any trouble getting someone to call me or email me back, even in emergency situations. We live in Temecula so it's about an hour drive but honestly after what we encountered from different dental offices in Temecula, totally worth it. I've had other dentists recommend work that didn't need to be done. I've also referred quite a few people to Dr Kimura.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kimura's for 9 years, they have always given my family & I the best of care. I've had dental implants done and Dr. Kimura was fantastic no pain -- he was kind the staff was great Dr. Kimura is highly trained dentist. I chose his office because he has 7 years of training at Loma Linda. I highly recommend him. Thank you & the staff for great care & service TS--

I was one of those people who waited....and waited...and waited to go to the dentist. The people at Avia Dental immediately treated me as family and were very understanding about my anxiety with going to the dentist. Dr. Kimura is an amazing dentist but an even better person. He takes the time to listen and learn more about his patients and he's just a REALLY good guy. They've got a really good thing going at Avia Dental and I'm so lucky to be part of it.

We love Avia Dental and the entire staff! We drive 45 minutes to get to the office but it's worth the drive time. Dr Kimura has magic hands. I have never had any pain or discomfort when he has treated me, both for a crown and fillings. My youngest son has had a fear of dentists since he was young. He has absolutely no problem getting his dental needs taken care of at Avia Dental. I just read several poor reviews and was completely shocked! We have recommended Avia Dental to family and friends and will continue to do so.

Dr. Kimura is very nice the hygienist there is also very good. The major issue I have is with the front office staff not doing their jobs. They are incredibly lazy. They are always out of the office and fail to follow up on billing when they are supposed to. I've been over billed for each visit and had insurance denied because of their errors. Lucy is horrible. I don't know how she can keep her job, the doctors must not beware of the terrible things she does. Hopefully the dentists read these so they are aware of how their practice is being run into the ground.

Haven't been a fan of going to the dentist but a cracked tooth forced the issue. After my visit (and an annoying number of questions I asked) I finally have a dentist I feel comfortable with. My procedure went fantastic and plan to get back in the habit of regularly making visits back to Dr. Kimura. I even signed up for their in-house insurance.

Great Experience!!! Great Staff--- Dr Kimura is fantastic it was nice to have a dentist that didn't want to sell you unnecessary treatment-- the hygienist Jennifer was fantastic she explained problem areas and gave great tips I would recommend Avia Dental to friends and family and I have. Thanks Lw

WARNING - Avia Dental is a VERY unprofessional and unethical dental office. Also please see YELP reviews - numerous complaints on that website. Avia does unnecessary x-rays and unnecessary dental procedures. Multiple times I asked them explicitly NOT to do the panoramic x-rays (insurance only covers them once every 5 years, and I needed them for oral surgery). I actually made this a requirement before hiring Avia, and they lied to me up front to get my business (they said "no problem"). Then they unnecessarily did panoramic x-rays to multiple family members (we also had x-rays from previous dentist - so 5 year panoramics are unnecessary). When I complained, they verbally said they wouldn't charge me for them (since it was Avia's mistakes). Avia lied again (Avia seems to have has no problem with lies). Then they started sending me bills that they said they would not bill for. Avia doesn't return emails or phone calls (VERY unprofessional). Now they have put a collection notice on my credit report (for bills they said they would NOT charge for - and mistakes that they made!). I have filed a complaint with the Dental Board of California (Dept. of Consumer Affairs). I am also looking for Federal complaints I can file (e.g., ADA), and encouraging other patients burned by Avia to file complaints with the Dental Board of California.
