Dr. Paul Porter completed undergraduate work at Utah State University in 2006. He went on to study dentistry at Indiana University, earning his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. He graduated with distinction at the top of his class. He began practicing dentistry at Avenues Dentistry in Salt Lake City, UT in 2010. Providing advanced dental care for patients in a comfortable, welcoming environment has been one of Dr. Greg Johnsons top priorities. Dr. Johnson grew up in Washington State before moving to Utah and attending the University of Utah, where he received his undergraduate degree.
When Dr. Johnson started Parkway Family Dental Care in Wentzville, MO, his pursuit of staying current with the latest dentistry techniques and advancements led him to create one of the most successful practices in the area. In 2010, Dr. Johnson sold his practice to move closer to family in Utah. New and emerging dental technologies have continued to be one of the top priorities that drive Dr. Johnson to be a sought-after dentist. He has acquired hundreds of hours in continuing education pertaining to new dental technologies, patient care, pathology, dental implants, and other dentistry fields.
Dr. Johnson believes that education and learning is a lifelong process. Since 2004, Dr. Johnson has been a user of CEREC technology (same-day crowns) and Galileos (3D imaging) technologies and became a trainer and teacher of those technologies in 2007. Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with his wife Terra and their four incredible children in his spare time. When he isnt in the office or with his family, youll catch him enjoying one of his favorite activities, fly fishing!

If you're going to go to a dentist, make sure it's these guys! Great atmosphere, staff, technology and pricing. I hadn't visited a dentist for ten years due to phobias I'd developed based on horrible experiences with dentists. Thanks to Avenues' experts I'm over it and back in the groove. Thanks guys!

I always have anxiety about going to the dentist but Avenues Dentistry makes you as comfortable as you could possibly be. The staff is very friendly and Dr. Porters assistants are making sure I'm comfortable with a tv to watch and headphones and even a blanket. They are very attentive! Dr. Porter does a great job and by the time the numbness wears off, I'm feeling pretty normal again. They also have the latest technology and I love that when I get a crown, I get it all in one visit and don't have to have a temporary crown. It's so much more convenient. Also I always get a follow up call to see that I'm doing okay after a procedure. I would recommend them to anyone.

The dentist isn't something you want to do...right? I will come here any day...they are aware of the fact that it's not always something you want to do. The staff, the Dentists are amazing. They really know that you want the best care. They deliver. I will never go anywhere else.

I have always dreaded going to the dentist in part because I did not have good dental care when I was younger and in part because I've had very negative experiences with dentists. When I finally found Dr. Johnson and Avenues Dentistry, it had been after receiving several dental procedures from various dentist in the region with stellar reviews that I researched fairly extensively. I realize now how poorly executed my previous dental procedures were after Dr. Johnson spent nearly two years correcting poor dental work. The Avenues dentist office is immaculate. It's very clean and modern. Dr. Johnson and the staff do everything they can to make a dentist appointment be as comfortable as a dentist appointment can be. Dr. Johnson is very thorough and reviewed my x-rays and teeth so closely that he was able to put together an effective dental plan regiment over the past two years that has nearly addressed all my current dental problems and preventative measures for potential dental problems. Sometimes there's a concern that dentist are simply upselling procedures. But Dr. Johnson is very comprehensive and honest in his analysis about what dental care in his professional opinion will be the best course of action. I have followed all his advice and suggested procedures, and each time, my mouth has felt better and looks better. I notice the difference in my teeth. He's earned my trust in his advice. He's clearly passionate about his craft and cares enough to be thorough in his examinations. He's extremely professional, personable and kind, which has not always been my experience with dentist. He reaches out to check on my health after procedures. The quality of care is very noticeable. I absolutely recommend him. He is the best dentist I have every seen. I'm a fan!

My hygienist, Doreen, was very informative and answered my medical questions in a way no one else had been able to. She's also chatty in a way that really tries to connect with people and not just superficially. We had to reschedule the rest of my exam. I love the office atmosphere, very professional. And--funny pet videos while you're sitting getting your teeth looked at. Perfect.

Dr Johnson is always just Been going to him for a few years. When I found out he left the previous location, I had to follow. He's the only dentist I've ever seen who takes real pride in his work, researches and stays up to date with new technologies, makes patients' lives easier and also truly cares about the care he provides.
