What or who inspired you to become a dentist?When I was a teen, I broke my front teeth from an accident. I was so embarrassed of my smile until my dentist gave me new crowns. The immediate gratification and relief of getting your smile back motivated me to do the same for my patients. Whether its getting them out of pain or transforming their smile, I enjoy being a dentist that helps my patients improve their quality of life.
Whats something your patients might be surprised to learn about you?I was a clarinetist for many years and played in marching band throughout high school. You might hear a lot of music around the office for this reason. Im also a clinical instructor at NYU College of Dentistry.
Whats your favorite dental fact?Did you know that the first orthodontic braces were found during Ancient Egypt? Archaeologists discovered that the Egyptians would close gaps by tying wires between the teeth. Nowadays, straighter teeth can be achieved with invisible aligners.
Whats something your patients might be surprised to learn about you?Oral Surgeons are usually known for extracting teeth but Ive also donetooth transplantation.Its basically taking your own extracted tooth to replace another missing one. Cool stuff.

First of all this place is super clean! Everything is spot on. The front desk ladies are so sweet and so helpful! We was here for my mom. After her bad experience in a dental clinic in New Jersey we came here. Not only did they help her they also educated her. She is so happy! I'm so happy with the results. Tommy takes his time and so does his two other assistants. Yashara and the other Spanish guy (we forgot his name). They are so well trained and smart. Overall the most amazing experience here. We are definitely sticking to this place forever! Thank you all so much for taking care of my mom! finally a clinic that really cares about their patients.

By far this was the best dentist that I have been too. Everyone is very nice and pleasant to talk throughout my appointment. Dr. Ye was very informative and genuinely showed care. 10/10 would recommend.

Highly recommend Avalon Dental! Staffs are sociable yet professional and knowledgeable. Office is modern and sleek and super clean as well. My daughter (almost 3) and I both went to see Dr. Ye on 10/7/2022 for cleaning. We scheduled via their online booking system and it was super easy to make an appointment. It was my daughter's first time seeing a dentist and for cleaning. Lily and Dr. Ye and the rest of the staff made sure she was comfortable before starting anything. They let her hold on to this singing teddy bear which brushes teeth and turned on Peppa Pig for her to relax. To my surprise, my daughter was very calm and cooperative and she enjoyed her experience so that was super awesome! Everything was explained to her in advance in terms of the tools that was used. She got stickers and a goodie bag which she insist she hold on to the entire time which I had my cleaning done. My cleaning was very thorough and you can tell Dr. Ye is very knowledgeable the moment he examines the teeth (he knew right off the bat all the teeth I'm missing from braces lol). Their dental equipment is very new and advanced too. My husband goes to a different dentist in Brooklyn and he is convinced to switch over after our visit here so he will be seeing Dr. Ye in December for his cleaning. We do live in Brooklyn so going to Avalon Dental is not about convenience but given our experience, we are happy to go to Bayside/Queens cause Dr. Ye is such a great dentist and we love the office a lot! Oh yea they are very generous people. My husband also got a goodie bag from them although he hasn't seen Dr. Ye yet.

I'll preface this by saying I have an entirely irrational fear of going to the dentist, so much so it has kept me from going for many years. When I finally decided to go after all this time, I found Avalon Dental by chance based on location and passing by numerous times but never going in. Little did I know they were exceptionally well reviewed, so I decided to take the next step and go in for a checkup. After a couple of visits now, I can honestly say Dr. Tommy Ye and staff deserve all the praise given to them. Every visit and interaction has been nothing but positive. Everything is always explained to me step by step from checkup, procedure, to billing and insurance. My only regret is I wish I started coming to Avalon Dental sooner.

I was looking for the good and professional dentist for a very long time and Thank God I found at Avalon Dental in Queens, Bayside. I wish I would find them earlier. Tommy Ye is a very knowledgeable, professional, accurate, respectful, intelligent, honest doctor who knows his job for 100%. Respects his patients. He did quality and amazing job with my teeth. In his office is very professional stuff, very nice and friendly. The lady at the reception explained to me everything what I needed to know regarding my tooth problem and the whole treatment. It is a lot of many great things I would say about Avalon Dental Dr. Tommy Ye. I love that they work on the weekends too, perfect for people who work on the week days. I will recommend to anybody who is looking for the real good Dentist.

Just WOW, this place is exceptional. It took me a long time to find the perfect Dentist for my children and myself and boy, did they not disappoint. From the doctor's assistants, the front desk staff and the doctor himself & the actual office was very impressive. My children were the first to see him and he was clear with what he was doing and even demonstrated to my youngest what he was doing so she understood and was not taken by surprise. He explained everything and had a gentle touch! A major plus was they are upfront with how they will bill. Put your worries away, this is the dentist to go to (Have no FEAR, Truly!)!!! Thank you for everything Dr Ye!

The dental office is extremely nice, also has good management. They are very patient to answer my every questions and tell me how to protect my teeth. Highly recommend this place if you want nice teeth and the place is super clean too. Amazing service.

Dr. Ye has amazing skills and an experienced doctor. He makes the procedures smooth and fast. I really appreciate the doctor and all staffs there -- they are very helpful and friendly. Also, they helped me save money when insurance company is not willing to help; very transparent about everything!! Dr. Ye is very patient and thorough. He did a phenomenal job with my root canal and crown - pain free. I would highly recommend this office to everyone.

Very nice and clean place, front desk is very friendly and professional. The dentist is very knowledgeable and care about my case, therefore provided the most beneficial plan for me. And Jimmy did my cleaning, very decent and professional job, and I get my cleaning done every 6 months.

My favorite dental office. Everyone is super nice and caring. Dr Ye knows what he's doing and is extra transparent so you are not wondering whats going on. I got a few root canals and crowns and everything went flawlessly. I recommended my whole family to go there and he took care of them too. I'm so happy I won't ever go anywhere else!

Avalon Dental exceeded expectations! Dr Ye is compassionate, kind, and honest. I had to get a couple of root canals done, and the Dr and his staff eased my fears by explaining the procedure, making me comfortable (by playing soft rock which is my favorite) and ensuring that I was not in pain during the process. He take his time to make sure that my crowns not only resembles my natural tooth but fit comfortably and securely. The office is very welcoming, clean and warm especially for a dental office. The staff is also friendly and considerate. I'm so glad to finally find a dentist that is not only skilled but trustworthy!
