Dr. Matthew Yuen grew up in Alameda and studied Exercise Biology at UC Davis. He graduated near the top of his class at the prestigious University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry then went on to further his clinical enrichment through a General Practice Residency at the McClellan Veterans Affairs dental clinic. He enjoys all facets of dentistry and believes dental care is a high priority in taking care of your overall health.

Dr. Yuen loves reading, learning, and teaching. He'll play/watch any sport, likes going on outdoor adventures, and loves aquariums and Disneyland. He just recently got married and also enjoys being an uncle to his niece and nephew.

Kind and well-respected, Dr. Ava Chen graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in Biology. She went on to earn her dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry, one of the top three dental schools in the nation.

Janice lives in Castro Valley, and she received her training at Chabot College. She has been a hygienist at our dental practice for over 17 years, and she says, 'I love having the opportunity to encourage people to take care of their oral health as well as their overall health.'

Kasia lives in San Ramon, and she received her training at Chabot College. Kasia has been a hygienist with our dental practice for over 24 years, and she loves meeting new patients and seeing her long-time patients. She provides individual attention to every patient she sees and genuinely enjoys the conversations she gets to have with her patients every day. In her free time, Kasia likes to travel, and she also enjoys reading and gardening.

Kyla lives in Castro Valley, and she received her training at Western Career College. She's been an assistant with our dental practice for over 15 years, and she feels that the best part of her job is helping people. She also loves making her patients smile and laugh so they can have a good time even while they visit the dentist. In her free time, you'll find Kyla spending time with her children and family. She also loves music and going to parks and beaches.

Nancy is from Hayward, and she received her training at Carrington College. She's been an assistant to Dr. Chen for one year, and her favorite part of her job is talking with patients while helping them to feel calm and relaxed during dental procedures.

Nayelli lives in Castro Valley, and she has been our treatment coordinator for over 15 years. Her number one goal is to gain the trust of her patients by providing excellent customer service. She also appreciates working each day with a fantastic team of smart and caring professionals.

Dental bonding material is extremely versatile. Dr. Yuen can easily manipulate the composite resin material to cover minor imperfections and lengthen or reshape your teeth. Additionally, our dentists can expertly color-match the composite resin to your natural teeth. The end result is a perfectly tailor-made smile that you can enjoy for years to come!

Furthermore, cosmetic dental bonding is a conservative, minimally-invasive procedure. This means that very little (if any!) tooth enamel needs to be removed to prepare a tooth for the bonding process.

For most patients, cosmetic dental bonding can be done in a single office visit and without any anesthesia. However, if you chipped or fractured a tooth too close to your nerve, then our dentists will administer local anesthesia to make sure you dont experience any pain during your procedure.

To begin the dental bonding process, Dr. Yuen will color match the composite resin material to match or enhance the natural shade of your smile. After choosing your perfect shade, our dentists will gently prepare your teeth for the bonding material.

Next, your dentist will begin applying the composite resin to your teeth. They will carefully shape and smooth the bonding material into your desired aesthetic before setting the resin with a special UV light. Once the procedure is done, youre free to continue with your day!
