Dr. Jason Oh grew up and attended high school in La Canada, CA, and majored in molecular and cell biology at UC Berkeley. He considered a variety of medical careers, but found that dentistry offered the perfect blend of problem solving and craftsmanship while giving him the opportunity to make a real difference in peoples lives, so he earned his DDS degree at UCLA School of Dentistry.
Since earning his DDS degree, Dr. Oh has completed over 200 hours of continuing education each year, investing immense amounts of time in coursework and hands-on training to become an expert in the fields of implants, orthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. He has a passion for learning and believes that as a dentist, it is his responsibility to stay current with every advance that takes place in the field of dentistry so that he can provide his patients with the best treatments and care available to them today.
After dental school, Dr. Oh spent one year as a general-practice resident at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center and two years as an associate dentist before becoming a practice owner. Since then, he has been providing the Palmdale community with the dental services they need to stay healthy while enjoying the confidence that comes with a naturally beautiful smile.
Outside of the office, Dr. Oh resides in Canyon Country with his wife, Jessica, his twins, Mason and Madison and their miniature schnauzer, Bella. He enjoys playing golf and spending time with family and friends. When asked to describe himself, Dr. Oh simply says, Im just a regular guy that loves helping people smile.
Dr. Shanne Sastiels passion for dentistry stems from his desire to educate and care for patients with the utmost concern for their well-being. He believes that quality care is achieved through open communication, developing a trusting relationship with every patient, and staying up-to-date on the latest dental techniques and technology. With a commitment to delivering the highest standard of care, Dr. Sastiel provides a full range of general and specialized dental procedures, including extractions, bone and gum tissue grafting, placing dental implants, and improving his patients smiles.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Sastiel graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Sastiel then attended the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Later, he earned his Masters Degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences, as well as completed his postgraduate training and certificate in Periodontics. During his time at UCSF, he received the prestigious award for Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics by the American Academy of Periodontics.
Dr. Sastiel is happy to be a member of the AV Sierra Dental Center team. Each day, he looks forward to being in the office, seeing new and returning patients, and helping them maintain and improve their oral health. Dr. Sastiel is married to his wife, Shirley, and together they have two children. During his free time, he can be found cooking, hiking, and spending time with his family at the beach.
Dr. Crystiane Couto has been creating beautiful smiles since 2003. Her career as a dentist began in Brazil where she went through five years of training in Rio De Janeiro. When she moved to the United States, Dr. Couto pursued her Orthodontic certificate degree at New York University where she graduated at the top of her class with high honors.
Subsequently in 2003, she returned to Saint Louis University to complete a three year dual residency program in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry. After completing her specialization in Orthodontics, Dr. Couto went into private practice in Texas, where she worked for over five years before moving to the Greater Los Angeles area.
Dr. Couto has been a proud member of AV Sierra Dental Center and takes great pride in the professionalism and attention to detail that she is able to provide to her patients. She appreciates the strong culture of support among her Orthodontic associates.
Dr. Couto, Dr. Oh, and the AV Sierra Dental team are always working hard to gain the trust of all patients and make them feel right at home! They aim to provide the best Orthodontic treatment in a comfortable and relaxed environment.
I believe that it is a rare privilege to be able to work every day to make people smile. The creation of these smiles and the relationships I have with my patients are what drives me to do what I do on a daily basis.
Dr. Michael Tran discovered his passion for dentistry while attending undergraduate school for biological science at the University of Southern California, Irvine, as well as time spent shadowing his personal dentist. The desire to help patients by interacting with them and learning more about their dental needs and goals, along with enjoying working with his hands, led him to attend dental school at the University of Southern California. Dr. Tran finished dental school in 2014 and spent the next two years working as a private practice general dentist.
Thanks to his passion for learning and expanding his skill set, he returned to school in 2016 for an endodontic residency at West Virginia University. Dr. Tran has been working as a private endodontist since 2019. His desire to stay abreast of the latest advances in his chosen medical field has grown over the years as he continues to study the newest treatment options in the ever-changing field of endodontics. Dr. Tran remains committed to high-quality care that relieves the pain experienced by patients through up-to-date techniques.
Outside of the office, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with friends and family. He can be found in the sunshine on the golf course or snowboarding on a winter day. Dr. Tran also enjoys cars, traveling and going to the movies (and combining all three activities when possible).

Wife's tooth was hurting. We got the appt. right away. We found out she had an infection and was given antibiotics. This is the best place ever. Fast professional service, friendly, knowledgeable, reasonable rates. I will recommend AV Sierra Dental Center to everyone.

Service was completely outstanding. I genuinely had a pleasant experience with the office and dental staff. Everyone was extremely helpful with attending to my needs. I had severe pain on a couple teeth and they saw me almost right away. I would absolutely want to give them 5 stars, but its unfortunate how they manage their cancellation/missed appointment policy, which in my case I was completely unaware of. I missed two appointments due to work restrictions that wouldn't allow me to make the appointments, and I was never notified of the cancellation/reschedule/missed appointment fee policy or even aware that they had already waived a "alleged" fee when I rescheduled ahead of my appointment the first time. They mentioned that I signed the fine print, which is valid on my end for not reading through the endless paperwork, but with no reminder or any kind of warning/heads-up about their cancellation policy from their staff, it's a bit tricky to navigate dentist offices that don't prioritize their appointment policy and blindside you with a fee you were completely unaware of from the start. I'm not upset about the policy, more so the transparency and courtesy of letting patients know. Especially new patients. Let me fill the gap for this dentist office because I do feel that they are an excellent dentistry and would still want others to receive their care, but be aware of the fine prints... If you cancel/miss what I'm assuming max 2 appointments, REGARDLESS of you calling to reschedule before hand, you'll be face a $100 fee that is required to be paid before they can continue to do any services with you. Double check your appointments and try to call in advance so hopefully this won't happen to you. Also, make sure you're not in pain because then you're pretty much screwed until you pay hahaha, even if you have already prepaid for the services to be completed.

If you're looking for a dentist who is (1) compassionate, (2) knowledgeable, (3) experienced and (4) prompt - then AV Sierra Dental is the place. I originally came here because of a dental emergency on a Saturday that just could not wait. I was accompanied with a same day appointment and my emergency was resolved. I've had such a great experience regarding my emergency, as well as the other work that I elected to get done. Not to mention, the office is very clean, the staff is remarkable & I was always seen at my scheduled appointment time.

Great dental staff. They are very courteous, attentive and do excellent work. My daughter needed a crown and had a few cavities. Her procedure was quick and virtually painless. I have been looking for a new dental home after leaving our former dentist of 15 years. I am happy to announce that I have found one.

After some really good research I booked an appointment At A V SIERRA DENTAL DR VU. It's very professional and their staff it's amazing really caring people, Armando Kevin, keyla. Etc. I've definitely made the right decision by having AV SIERRA DENTAL taking care of my dental procedure, I'm very satisfied with the results and i will definitely recommend them, Keep up the good work!!

Every single person was incredibly kind and considerate! They got me right in, took care of everything I needed, and made sure I was completely comfortable, even offering me a blanket to keep me cozy. :) I was so taken away with the level of service and how taken care of I felt during my appointment. I appreciated how they communicated with me and validated everything I was feeling. I would recommend this office to anyone and everyone! I have never had such a great experience at the dentist!

On my very first visit, Cindy, Kevin and Dr. Oh were all welcoming, professional and proficient. The facility was clean and organized. There was ample space in the Parking Lot. After my appointment ended, I left confident with the plan we had developed.

After two years of going here; today was my last appointment here, before moving back to Southern California, and I can finally leave a review. First of all, I never knew how difficult it was finding a good dentist. After searching I ended up here. And let me say it was an amazing experience. Hated, and had fear of going to the dentist, which they took into consideration, and ended up making my experience here much better. Will highly recommend this place for cleaning, and check up's, which is the "ONLY" thing I ended doing here. Fillings, and other things I wouldn't be able to give my 2 cent on since, I did not do that here. The ONLY DOWNSIDE I had here was, I wanted braces, but this place couldn't accommodate to my needs when it came to me getting braces. Therefore I'm giving this review a 4/5.
