I drove an hour and a half because I heard such great things from my lactation consultants about Dr. Lucas & I am so glad that I did! The entire team was so helpful & nice. I had all 3 of my kids with me: 3 week old, 2 year old & 6 year old, so I was a hot mess. They were so kind & helped me with my 2 & 6 year old while my baby had her tongue tie revised. Dr. Lucas was very thorough yet quick which I greatly appreciated. She is a woman of integrity & I trust her 100% with my kids oral health!

I can't say enough great things about this practice. We live in Round Rock and gladly make the drive. Dr. Lucas and all her staff are amazing. The hygienist (Bri) is my son's favorite. She's patient with him and really listens to his concerns to calm him as much as possible. I always recommend Austin Pediatric Dentistry when people are looking for a great place to take their children.

We brought my autistic 5 year old in for an emergency dental visit while on vacation. The entire staff was patient and sympathetic to his unique needs. For the first time in his life, he was completely comfortable there and cooperative for everything they needed to do. I would say that they are very focused on the kids first and not pushing anything. We were very impressed. Thank you so much for your gentle patience with both of us! We appreciate it! Don't be surprised if we drive up from Dallas!

We brought our 3 week old son to see Dr. Lucas for a tongue tie assessment. She and the dental assistant who helped us were friendly and compassionate. They had excellent communication skills and clearly explained the options to us. They made whether or not to have a revision our choice, without pressure or coercion. We had our son's tongue tie revised, and they followed up with us hours later to see how he was doing. We are grateful for the care he received at Austin Pediatric Dentist.

The most knowledgeable, kind, and caring experience I have ever experienced. I took my newborn in after having countless frustrating nights as a new mom. My lactation consultants quickly advised us to seek Dr. Lucas' help as she has helped so many before. I was really hesitant to move forward, but after speaking with Victoria at the front desk and having her breakdown each step of the process, my anxiety lessened substantially. When we arrived, it was amazing to be in a space dedicated to children that was so clean and honestly really impressive. Dr. Lucas is SPECTACULAR in explaining the procedure and answering any and all questions, which is something that I have now learned not all medical professionals do. The insurance, payment, and invoice process was also explained in great detail, which made my husband and I feel reassured and knowledgeable about the next steps going forward. For every parent (new and experienced), I wouldn't recommend go anywhere else for the best care for your child. Thank you so much Dr. Lucas and staff!

The way they work with insurance is different than most. As far as the staff and the treatments go I will say they are great. My kids loved going here. But some cavities that needed to be fixed uncovered how much I was over paying for out of network services here. The way it works is Austin Pediatric Dentist is not "in network" with any provider. You pay the out of pocket costs up front then they file it with your insurance as out-of-network. With non-contracted rates and limited out of network coverage, this was going to cost me a fortune.

I get that when compared to multiple 5 star reviews the person who leaves a one star looks like the angry crazy customer. I hope by leaving my experience it will help even one person to make a more informed choice. We were recommended this office for my 18 month old daughters lip tie. Before going in we were asked her age. In preliminary screening we were also asked all the classic form questions such as trouble eating, how many times a day brushing etc... My husband and daughter then drove an hour to the office, met with Dr. Lucas for about 5 minutes, she asked all the questions I had already answered and she sent them away saying at 18 months and no trouble brushing that to have it released was unnecessary. We were charged over $100 and out our time and gas for something that could have been addressed over the initial call and screening. On top of that, when we called to express our disappointment and frustration in the situation- it felt like they could have told us it wasn't necessary over the phone when they had all the information but instead they waited to get our credit card information and get the same information in office. It seemed really icky or scammy. They said they would give us a call back, assuming to work something out. Instead they never called back and we had to call back two days later only for them to say they were keeping our money. That also seemed really icky and scammy- as if they were hoping we'd just forget about it and like they had no intention of calling back to work it out. On top of all that- a second and third opinion has strongly recommended to get the tie revised. That although some pediatric dentists say it will work itself out as they grow and new teeth come in, or that it could "break" itself on a heavy toddler fall, that the best course of action in this case and how large of a tie my daughter has is to get it revised now in order to prevent HUGE problems in the future. Including speech delays, tooth decay, poor formation of teeth and other issues. Really really disappointed in this office, their customer service, and our experience.

Dr. Lucas is amazing. She really is the best in Austin. She makes sure the kids are happy and have a wonderful visit. We've been seeing her for awhile now but I decided to do a review this time because our experience was so good. We had a pretty stressful procedure to do on my 3-year-old. Dr. Lucas explained all my options and we went with the best option. She was actually able to get the procedure done with the less stressful method, much to my surprise. The procedure was a success but most importantly my daughter and I left the office feeling very happy. She's awesome, I wouldn't use anyone else!
