A true Buckeye, Dr. Bruce attended Ohio State for his undergraduate and dental education. After graduating in 1990, he decided to further his education by completing a general practice residency program at Mount Sinai Hospital in Cleveland. A GPR is an intense one-year program where the participating dentist is trained in all specialties of dentistry- but in a hospital setting.
The Mount Sinai program placed a special focus on oral surgery procedures. Drs. Bruce and Lynn Hjerpyn began practicing in Barberton in 1991, after Dr. Edward Koosed retired. They were honored to merge their practice with that of Dr. Ramon Peters in 1995 and are extremely proud to care for their dental family and to contribute to this special community.
Drs. Bruce and Lynn are not only busy at Austin Park Dental, but also at home. Married since 1988, they have four beautiful children who require a lot of energy. Family is a priority for the doctors. Dr. Bruce still finds time to do some golfing and take an annual hunting trip to Iowa for pheasants.
Another proud graduate of Ohio State University, Dr. Lynn Hjerpyn obtained a degree in Chemistry before completing dental school. After graduation in 1990, she spent a year working in Cleveland with other dentists to learn about private dental practices. Both doctors are proud to have practiced in Barberton since 1991 and look forward to many more years in this community.
The mother of four young adults, Dr. Lynn balances her time between her home and the practice of dentistry. She is dedicated to both of her careers and is blessed to be able to do so. Austin Park Dental is truly a family organization. Dr. Lynn loves to keep pictures of her children at the office.
Acting as Dr. Bruces assistant for the past thirteen years, April loves all the different types of dental treatment. She has really enjoyed using her artistic flair to make the Cerec crowns that are made in the office works of art that blend in with our patients natural teeth. She is always doing something outdoors with her husband and two small, active children.
Tina has been in the dental field for 28 years. She has been a part of the Austin Park Dental team since September, 2018. One of the things she loves most about her career is that she has the ability to leave a positive effect on someone's appearance. Her friendly personality always has the patients leaving with a smile on their face! In her spare time Tina enjoys painting, hiking, and reading.
Elise graduated from Stark State College as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in 2017. She has been a part of the Austin Park Dental team since October, 2018 as one of Dr.Bruce's assistants. She works hard and loves the artistic aspect of her job. Her main goal is to use her creativity in order to satisfy our patients needs.We are very fortunate to have Elise here at the practice! In her spare time Elise loves to cook, read and spend time outdoors.
Morgan is a wonderful addition to our hygiene team.Our patients love her and she takes great pride in helping them to attain the healthiest smiles possible while keeping them comfortable.Away from Austin Park Dental, she keeps busy with her husband and two children.
Courtney graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Stark State College in 2016. She has been a dental hygienist at Austin Park Dental since October, 2018. Her kind and empathetic personality keeps the patients relaxed and comfortable. Courtneys main goal is to help and educate patients on how to maintain good oral health. In her spare time she enjoys spending quality time with her friends and her puppy.
Borjana has only been with us for a short period of time and is a pleasure to work with. Her lighthearted and bubbly spirit leaves everyone around her smiling! She is working hard to pursue a dream in the dental field; learning more and more each day, she comes closer to that goal. In her free time, Borjana loves being surrounded by family and friends.

Hands down the best Dentist around!!!!! I am terrified of the dentist and he's make every experience pain free and very thorough at explaining everything he's doing. If you're looking for a dentist, he is the one to go to.

Had 2 teeth extracted by Dr Bruce. Mind you I hate the dentist. Never a good experience for me in the past. Dr Bruce and all the staff have renewed my faith in dentist ,that you don't have to walk out crying in pain.

I transferred to Austin Park Dental several years ago and have been extremely happy with every single person I've interacted with. Everyone here is pleasant and patient. I've had a horrible fear of dentists since a young age, but feel comfortable at Austin Park. I only wish I had transferred sooner!!

I just went in for a cleaning. I was not a fan of my previous dentist so i thought i would give austin park a try. They were wonderful. Very thorough and knowledgeable. Very nice. Very professional. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dentist.

I was embarrassed to go to the dentist it had been so long. I put off fixing little problems until they became big problems. They were all so nice and reassuring when I went for my original consultation they made me want to take care of my issues and get back on track with my dental care. When I had my teeth pulled they were kind, explained every step and it was easy to stay calm and assured through the whole procedure. It was so much easier than I believed it would be!! Thank you everyone at Austin Dental!!

This whole office is so amazing. They make sure their patients are comfortable, and provide some of the best dental care I've ever had. Unfortunately I do not have good luck with my teeth, but these people are the only people I trust.
