A native Texan, Dr. Brian J. Peters was born and raised in Houston. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in biology. He then attended the prestigious Ivy League Columbia School of Dental Medicine in New York where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduation, Dr. Peters spent three years as a dentist in the United States Army with assignments in South Carolina, South Korea and Louisiana. After serving his country, Dr. Peters studied orthodontics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York and received a certificate in orthodontics. Dr. Peters is now an orthodontist in Austin and limits his practice for childrens orthodontic, teen orthodontic and adult orthodontic treatments.
Dr. Peters is an Invisalign certified provider and stays current in all of the latest orthodontic techniques. His affiliations include the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Capital Area Dental Society, American Association of Orthodontists and the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Peters is an Austin orthodontist who cherishes the ability to provide people with healthy and beautiful smiles that will last a lifetime.
Dr. Hengameh Motevasel earned her Bachelor of Science in biology from Indiana UniversityPurdue University Indianapolis. Following this, she attended the Indiana University School of Dentistry and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, as well as numerous academic accolades. Afterwards, she practiced as a general dentist for two years, which helped her appreciate all different aspects of dentistry. Dr. Motevasel has always been passionate about orthodontics and creating beautiful smiles, so she decided to specialize in this field of dentistry. She earned her Master of Science degree and certification in orthodontics from the Indiana University Department of Orthodontics and Oral Facial Genetics.
Dr. Motevasel is an active member of American Dental Association and American Association of Orthodontists. In her free time, Dr. Motevasel enjoys kayaking, biking and hiking around Austin. She likes traveling, meeting new people and loves the diverse culture of the city.
As a former UT alumnus, Dr. Samantha Farr is thrilled to be back in Austin! She graduated from the University of Texas UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston in 2019 and earned her certificate in orthodontics from the Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics in Jacksonville, Florida. Although she enjoyed Florida, she could not wait to move back to Texas. She still had to convince her husband to move here, however, so she took him to eat breakfast tacos, and the rest is history!
In her spare time, Dr. Farr loves to watch football (Hook em!), work out, travel, and go out to eat sushi or tacos any day of the week. She is excited to be part of the team and to be with her new Austin family!

So I just called this place to try and figure a pricing on how much it would be to take off my girlfriends braces off and they told they would have to start the process with them which then I ask the lady that it didn't make sense because they would still have to take them off and she proceeded by hanging up the phone and just left me there on the phone and when I tried calling back no answer until the fourth call made they answered

The front staff is rude. There are a couple of know-it-all ladies that interrupt you when you ask questions and talk over you. They do not know how to listen. Beware. They would do good changing the ladies who answer the phones too.

My son has been with Austin Family Orthodontics for about 7 months, and we have been very pleased with his treatments. He didn't want traditional braces so thankfully they offer Invisalign Teen which worked perfectly. The entire process has been pretty smooth. Once my oldest son is out of braces, I will be back with my second oldest son!

Both my son and I had our braces with Austin Family Ortho. My son went traditional and I went with Invisalign. Dr. Jen is great and staff follows suit! Prices are the best I found and all inclusive.

I have been very impressed with Dr. Travis. (I'm the type that always has lot of questions.) He was very patient and answered every one in a way I could understand. This office is a good fit for me. Very knowledgeable and a great bedside manner.
