Dr. Steve Cook grew up on the central coast of California, where his father practiced dentistry for many years. He left California for the flatlands of Texas to attend college at Abilene Christian University. While there, he met his wife, Tonya, and together they moved to San Antonio where he attended dental school at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio.

After graduation, they moved to Seattle to start their careers. Dr. Steve practiced as an associate dentist alongside older dentists for five years. He bought his first practice in Bellevue, Washington in 2003. After the births of his two daughters, they decided to move closer to family and chose Austin.

Dr. Steve bought the practice from Brooks Goldsmith in late 2006. Dr. Goldsmith had built a well-established practice in the heart of Austin and Dr. Steve is proud to carry on the tradition of excellent customer service and patient care.

Dr. Jenny Perna grew up in Merritt Island, Florida, where she spent her early years performing as a dancer, singer, and actor. While attending the University of Florida for her undergraduate education, she worked as a dental assistant and saw how her two worlds of artistry and science could combine in a career in dentistry. Dr. Perna attended Nova Southeastern University and received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2014. During her time in dental school, she participated in multiple dental mission trips and saw the life changing impact that dentistry can have on her patients.After finishing dental school, Dr. Perna advanced her dental knowledge by completing her General Practice Residency in Asheville, NC.

Dr. Perna continues to advance her skills by accumulating over 500 hours of continuing education in advanced procedures such as implant services, Invisalign, smile rejuvenations, root canal therapies to name a few. She aims for every patient to feel at ease and comfortable with a complete understanding of their dental needs during their dental visits. She currently runs an Instagram Dental Blog: @yogi_dentist where she is able to reach a larger audience with her goals in mind. She has been a guest on popular dental podcasts such as Dental Hacks, Bulletproof Dental Practice Podcast, The Dental A Team, and All-In-Podcast. Dr. Perna values the opportunity to both positively impact her patients lives and share tools that help the successes of her dental colleagues. When shes not thinking about teeth, Dr. Perna enjoys being active, yoga, traveling, cooking, and playing with her Doberman, Gio.

Michelle is from Lubbock, TX and moved to Austin in 1997. She is a Red Raider fan, but will root for the Longhorns when Tech isnt in town. Michelle enjoys running, and her favorite trails are Lady Bird Lake and Arbor Trails. Michelle travels often to Memphis, TN to visit her family, and her favorite destination she has visited is Belize. She also loves spending time with her two dogs, Taco and Lola. She has been in the dental field for about 15 years and loves helping patients look and feel their best.

Martina joined the Austin City Dental team in 2011. Before becoming a dental hygienist, Martina worked at Love Pet Hospital for ten years. Aside from animals, Martina loves to travel (especially to Germany and Maui) and to go scuba-diving. Around Austin, she enjoy biking, gardening and trying craft beers.

Jennifer was born and raised in Indiana and made Austin her home in 2010, when she joined the team at Austin City Dental. She loves to cook, and as a new homeowner, she likes to spend time working on her house. Jennifer and her husband brew their own beer at home and are passionate about exploring the local microbreweries in and around Austin. She spends the weekend exploring downtown, and finding new patios to people-watch.

Brittany was born in Austin, Texas. She married her high school sweetheart, Jonathon, right after graduating Georgetown HS in July of 2004. They moved to North Carolina while her husband served in the Marine Corps until June of 2007 then moved back to Texas. While Jonathon was becoming a firefighter for Round Rock she got her RDA in June of 2013 through Austin Dental Assistant School. They have two kids Noah and Leah. They also have three dogs. She enjoys spending her free time sitting on their front porch listening to music with Jonathon and having a cold beer while the kids play.

Emily was born and raised in a small town in Mississippi known as Yazoo City.She graduated in 2017 from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Austin became her home in 2019. In her spare time, she loves to read, workout, and travel to new cities with her boyfriend. She loves the beach and her favorite destinations are Hawaii and Thailand.

Jenny was born in Belize, Central America and moved to the United States with her son in 2001. Jenny has spent more than a decade in the dental field where she has worked and fell in love with the art of dentistry at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. She will forever be grateful to the doctors and dental students who encouraged and supported her during her studies. In 2010, Jenny graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management; and continued working for the dental school until 2015. After living and working abroad for a year, Jenny recently returned to Boston where shed decided to learn the technical skills of Dental Assisting in the field that she loves. In 2019, Jenny spent her time working and developing her skills at Sweet Spot Dental and Sea Port Associates in Boston. In 2021, Jenny decided to move to Austin, Texas and is now the newest addition to the Austin City Dental family, Jenny uses her passion of success and education to encourage others to be true to themselves, to do what makes them happy and to follow their dreams no matter how great. In her spare time, Jenny enjoys spending time with her son. She also enjoys getting together with family and friends to participate in walks, climbs, and runs for causes such as the American Heart Association and the Breast Cancer Foundation, just to mention a few. She loves traveling, meeting new people and open water adventures. Her favorite thing to do is snorkel the Great Blue Hole in Belize and swim with the sharks at Shark Ray Alley. Jenny is excited about the opportunity to continue learning and developing in her field and to explore all of Austins great outdoors and adventures.
