Dr. Shau received his bachelors degree in biology from UCLA, graduating magna cum laude and with Deans Honors List distinctions. After college, he remained at the UCLA School of Dentistry to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He graduated from dental school with numerous honors, including the UCLA Section of Pediatric Dentistry Award for excellence in the specialty. He then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at NYU Lutheran Medical Center, followed by a residency in pediatric dentistry at St. Barnabas Hospital of Bronx, New York. At St. Barnabas, Dr. Shau also served as chief resident in pediatric dentistry. Before joining Austin Childrens Dentistry, Dr. Shau practiced in Houston, Texas, while serving as clinical assistant professor at the UT Houston School of Dentistry.
Dr. Danny Le is passionate about pediatric dental care and believes he has the unique opportunity to teach and motivate his young patients. He views each patient as someone in his own family and wants them to have a fun and successful dental experience with someone that truly cares for their needs.
Dr. Le tries to understand everyones past experiences and the type of experience they would like to have when coming to the dentist. Educating young patients and creating a positive learning experience can help them maintain their dental health as adults. He hopes that each experience builds confidence in his young friends and their families.
Dr. Le completed his dental degree at the University of Southern California. After dental school, he served in the US Army as a general dentist. He then completed his pediatric residency program at the New York University College of Dentistry. Additionally, he volunteers with the Global Dental Outreaches organization, which is affiliated with the New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Le is affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the American Dental Association and Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Sameh Ahmed spent parts of his childhood growing up both in Houston and overseas in the United Arab Emirates. In 2006, Dr. Ahmed graduated with a BA in biology from the University of Texas at Austin. He continued his dental education in San Antonio, where he received his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2011. He then returned to Austin and has been working as a dentist ever since.
Dr. Ahmed loves to stay active and explore Austin with friends. With his passion for sports and music, you can find him in his spare time playing basketball, tennis and volleyball, along with enjoying karaoke and practicing his guitar.

My girls came today for a routine cleaning, but the dentist noticed my oldest daughter had a few loose teeth, but wouldn't come out on their own. She explained to my daughter that the teeth needed to be pulled. Of course my daughter was nervous. The dentist was patient and soft spoken. She gently numbed the gums and pulled all four teeth without any problems. My daughter was so relieved and happy that she didn't feel any pain. The whole staff was very welcoming and took really good care of us.

Every member of the staff here is awesome and a joy to see. They treat my daughters with care, respect, and kindness. We came there after a couple of horrible experiences with their previous dentist and they immediately made us feel welcome, safe and under great care. The dentist took time and care with both of my girls. I'm so glad I found them.

I went in on 5-10 for a routine cleaning and was very pleased from the beginning to the end. The front staff was very informative!! I returned on 5-17 and 6-20 for treatment and I feel that Dr. Ahmed went over and above to ensure that everything ran smoothly and I was comfortable! I most definitely will be returning for future visits!!!

We recently had a horrible experience with another dental office in town so we were reluctant to try another place but we needed our kids to be seen. We definitely were pleasantly surprised! From start to finish, from the ladies in the front, to the dental hygienists, dental assistants, and the dentist, we were treated so well. Our kids are anxious to go to the dentist after their last experience but they made this experience so much better! We are so thankful we found our dentist office and dentist!
