Dr. Shau received his bachelors degree in biology from UCLA, graduating magna cum laude and with Deans Honors List distinctions. After college, he remained at the UCLA School of Dentistry to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He graduated from dental school with numerous honors, including the UCLA Section of Pediatric Dentistry Award for excellence in the specialty. He then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at NYU Lutheran Medical Center, followed by a residency in pediatric dentistry at St. Barnabas Hospital of Bronx, New York. At St. Barnabas, Dr. Shau also served as chief resident in pediatric dentistry. Before joining Austin Childrens Dentistry, Dr. Shau practiced in Houston, Texas, while serving as clinical assistant professor at the UT Houston School of Dentistry.
Dr. Danny Le is passionate about pediatric dental care and believes he has the unique opportunity to teach and motivate his young patients. He views each patient as someone in his own family and wants them to have a fun and successful dental experience with someone that truly cares for their needs.
Dr. Le tries to understand everyones past experiences and the type of experience they would like to have when coming to the dentist. Educating young patients and creating a positive learning experience can help them maintain their dental health as adults. He hopes that each experience builds confidence in his young friends and their families.
Dr. Le completed his dental degree at the University of Southern California. After dental school, he served in the US Army as a general dentist. He then completed his pediatric residency program at the New York University College of Dentistry. Additionally, he volunteers with the Global Dental Outreaches organization, which is affiliated with the New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Le is affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the American Dental Association and Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Sameh Ahmed spent parts of his childhood growing up both in Houston and overseas in the United Arab Emirates. In 2006, Dr. Ahmed graduated with a BA in biology from the University of Texas at Austin. He continued his dental education in San Antonio, where he received his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2011. He then returned to Austin and has been working as a dentist ever since.
Dr. Ahmed loves to stay active and explore Austin with friends. With his passion for sports and music, you can find him in his spare time playing basketball, tennis and volleyball, along with enjoying karaoke and practicing his guitar.

I am impressed with this place and I feel safe brining my kid to ACD thank you to Mr, Le for taking such a good care of my kiddo when he comes for appts.

Staff and dentist very unprofessional. Three including dentist were holding down my son in order to insert metal tooth. My son has always had a wonderful relationship with his previous dentist and even looked forward to it and now this is totally ruined. I am not sure what was going through my mind in allowing this to happen. It was horrible to watch. Holding down his feet, arms and head. Very very unprofessional. I'm an idiot to have allowed this happen and I have apologized to my son and hoping for the best in the next appointment. Lastly, he was given some time of med to make him drowsy and the laughing gas and NOTHING made him what they said it would! Extremely upsetting. Poor skills in staff in being a "pediatric dentistry." My son had cavity taken care of in Austin Dental with just laughing gas and he was literally just laying there!

Dr. Desouza is awesome. My son was giving her a hard time and not opening his mouth and gagging, a bit. She was so calm and understanding. She is so soft spoken and polite. I highly recommend her to all kiddos and adults. Thank you Dr. Desouza :)

I've had nothing but issues and money grabs from this office. We chose it because it was convenient, but isn't worth it for the headache. They also have changed the appointment time every.single.time. but only like 2 days before the appointment - and it's never as calendar friendly as the original appointment.

Totally love their service and place. Very friendly Doctor and staffs. Love the setup for kids and it is something that's are attracted by adults too. Very neatly maintained and reasonable price. The Dentistry is located inside a complex and you have plenty of parking space.

My daughter had a dental procedure at the Avery Ranch location and the dentist and dental assistant that performed her procedure were so fast ,and the methods/ tricks they used to keep my daughter calm were amazing! I wish that adult dentists would be just as quick! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

2021 We love this place and Dr Souza is amazing. Very patient and explain everything. We will be back again! I always referral her because she is awesome. I'm very hard to deal, I hate to go to the dentist and I feel very comfortable with her. I'm glad I found her. 6/2022 We are back in this place and still happy with everything. Dr Souza is amazing.
