Dr. Shau received his bachelors degree in biology from UCLA, graduating magna cum laude and with Deans Honors List distinctions. After college, he remained at the UCLA School of Dentistry to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He graduated from dental school with numerous honors, including the UCLA Section of Pediatric Dentistry Award for excellence in the specialty. He then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at NYU Lutheran Medical Center, followed by a residency in pediatric dentistry at St. Barnabas Hospital of Bronx, New York. At St. Barnabas, Dr. Shau also served as chief resident in pediatric dentistry. Before joining Austin Childrens Dentistry, Dr. Shau practiced in Houston, Texas, while serving as clinical assistant professor at the UT Houston School of Dentistry.
Dr. Danny Le is passionate about pediatric dental care and believes he has the unique opportunity to teach and motivate his young patients. He views each patient as someone in his own family and wants them to have a fun and successful dental experience with someone that truly cares for their needs.
Dr. Le tries to understand everyones past experiences and the type of experience they would like to have when coming to the dentist. Educating young patients and creating a positive learning experience can help them maintain their dental health as adults. He hopes that each experience builds confidence in his young friends and their families.
Dr. Le completed his dental degree at the University of Southern California. After dental school, he served in the US Army as a general dentist. He then completed his pediatric residency program at the New York University College of Dentistry. Additionally, he volunteers with the Global Dental Outreaches organization, which is affiliated with the New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Le is affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the American Dental Association and Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Sameh Ahmed spent parts of his childhood growing up both in Houston and overseas in the United Arab Emirates. In 2006, Dr. Ahmed graduated with a BA in biology from the University of Texas at Austin. He continued his dental education in San Antonio, where he received his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2011. He then returned to Austin and has been working as a dentist ever since.
Dr. Ahmed loves to stay active and explore Austin with friends. With his passion for sports and music, you can find him in his spare time playing basketball, tennis and volleyball, along with enjoying karaoke and practicing his guitar.

Excellent staff. They handled my nervous 4 y/o with patience and playfulness. Their office is also colorful and child-friendly. We were out quickly as well. Happy child-happy mama.

The floride must have been expired because it burned my daughter's top lip and dried really thick and crusty around her braces. Other wise great service good people nice experience we love Dr Patel the staff and Dr Patel nurse very patient with my younger daughter full of energy lol

It was clear the team had a lot of experience. They were kind and professional. The only reason I couldn't give a 5 star was because of the long wait before my daughters appointment. They were worth the wait!

Had an amazing experience at this location. Staff is quick and attentive to their guests. There specialists are also very kind and informative during the visit. Overall great experience and would recommend this business to my friends as well!

I'm not typical person to leave a bad review. But, it was a horrible experience. I had to called in to work and not get paid. Been coming here for 3 years. Moved far away, managed to be bringing my children and driving 1 hour and 25 minutes. I schedule my appointment months ahead at 3pm. One day before my appointment they moved me to 1:30,pm ... Not saying why? I got to the appointment at 1:40pm. They refused to see my children. I have proof I had confirmed my appointment at 3pm via text & via email. I asked to speak to Dr. Patel or Alexander Shau in which they refused to talked to me and told staff for me to reschedule. The staff was rude to me and my children. I dont recommend this place to anyone.. Dentis or staff dont care about your children or yiu as a parent. Just horrible..

We received horrible communication and service from this group. We had scheduled a 3 p.m. appointment for 2 of our daughters a month in advance, and we received an email and text confirmation the day prior to the appointment. However, we also received a phone call the day prior saying that our daughters' appointment was actually at 1:30 p.m., and they were unaware of who had setup the appointment for 3 p.m. My wife and I both work, so we did our best to move around our schedules and make the new appointment time, however we were not able to make the 1.5 hour earlier time after driving in from Bastrop. The dentists (Dr. Patel and Dr. Shau) and office staff were unwilling to work with us despite our showing them to email and text message confirmation of the 3 p.m. appointment. We will not be bringing our children back to this dentistry group.

The dental assistant that we had was so wonderful and the way she was with my children especially with my daughter who has never had a cleaning before. I don't know your name but I am so thankful for your happiness n patience. The dentist doctor as well was wonderful with explaining everything my children needed.

The office is really nice and clean. The staff is professional and kind. We scored with Dr. Patel. She's great! Really sweet with our 3 year old. I really appreciated her approach and manner. Definitely recommend her!

My son had a lot of problems with his teeth, but Dr Patel and her team made it a very pleasant experience for him. I am so thankful that he was taken care of by the best. Highly recommended!

0 stars, they don't care for your time. Had scheduled appointment at 4, walked in and signed in at 3.50. No one informed there was any delay. Waited till 4.30 and checked with front desk they said it will take another 30 mins, giving lame excuse of emergency in afternoon. But we had scheduled calling them just 2 hrs before appointment. So they just want to make money taking walk ins and don't care how many they have scheduled before. If they don't care about your time, they don't care for your kid or anything. Very poor service, look elsewhere.
