put off the dentist for YEARS because of the anxiety and fear. not anymore! I cannot wait to continue working on my teeth with dr. hulse and team. the process has been anxiety and pain free so far and i'm incredibly confident i will continue to be taken care of at this office. will be recommending dr. hulse go forward!

15 years ago (in Seattle), I consulted multiple dentists about a smile makeover and ultimately settled for a small improvement. As a 2022 transplant to Austin and starting a new phase of life, my goal of a beautiful smile was back on my priority list. After a few consultations with Dr. Hulse, and inspiration from the before-and-after photos of his patients in the office waiting room, I decided on a full smile makeover (10 top, 10 bottom). The office and dental staff are all top-notch and supportive--I was not alone on this journey! The entertainment system in each patient suite is a welcome feature for any long procedure. I absolutely LOVE my new smile! Even my husband of 27 years, who "loved me just as I was" before the procedure, appreciates my beautiful new smile and how much more I smile as a result!

5 stars isn't enough! This is such a nice practice with an excellent dentist who is extremely thorough. I have terrible anxiety when it comes to dental visits, and Dr. Hulse and the entire staff put me at ease, always making sure I was comfortable. Dr. Hulse is a perfectionist - which is important when it comes to a smile! 10/10 recommend!

Appointment was on time. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Dr. Hulse is a real "artist" when it comes to improving your teeth. He takes a lot of time listening and educating. I highly recommend him as your dentist.

I am so glad that I found Austin Artistic Dental when I did! They alerted me to the fact that I was grinding my teeth while I slept, where my previous dentist either didn't notice or didn't find it worth mentioning. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hygienist is wonderful, and Dr. Hulse's recommendations are always on the moderate side. He doesn't try to do expensive procedures that you may not need.

In July, I had a procedure done for cavities fillings that needed to be refilled. Austin Artistic Dental obtained an estimate from my insurance company for what they were estimated to cover. I had the procedure and paid the amount as it was quoted as the final total after insurance was applied. Unfortunately, a month later I received a bill from the dentist's office for almost the price I paid for the initial procedure. I was informed that insurance did not cover what was estimated by the dental office. I spoke with my insurance company and it turns out the dental office never asked for a pretreatment quote from my insurance company for my specific procedure. I spoke with the dentist's office to see what could be done and I was told that a pretreatment insurance claim had to be specifically requested, although this option was never offered to me pre-treatment. So Austin Artistic Dental's negligence left me with hundreds of dollars to pay out of pocket due to misinformation. Consider another dentist's office before choosing Austin Artistic Dental. Or inquire about a pretreatment claim request before a procedure to avoid paying for things falsely quoted prior by the dentist's office.

My journey with doctor hulse began with a cosmetic consultation, and after that consultation I knew I was in good hands. I wanted to close a gap in my front teeth, but do to the size of the space my treatment was more complex than I expected. He explained the process I needed to take in order to achieve my smile make over with such professionalism and knowledge. His overall experience assured me he would help me achieve my smile makeover. He removed an existing crown, repaired a damaged tooth with bioclear, restored 2 fillings that were done by someone else, and now I'm in braces and plan to finish my final treatment with veeners. He provided a healthy healthy treatment plan, and really cares about the work he does. I highly recommend Austin Artistic Dental. The whole team was amazing. Dr. HULSE EVEN CALLED ME THE WEEKEND AFTER MY TREATMENT TO CHECK-IN ON ME!!! and took the time to answer questions.
