Dr. Holly Austgen is both honored and humbled to be following in the footsteps of the late Dr. Tim Weeks. She makes this transition after working as an associate at Southeast Family Dental for six years. Prior to this, she completed a general practice residency program at the Richard L. Roudebush VAMC in Indianapolis and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in May of 2011. She holds active memberships from the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, and the American Association of Women Dentists. Additionally, in 2017, she was honored as Indianapolis Monthlys Top Dentist. In addition to being a dentist, Dr. Austgen is also a loving wife and mother. She and her husband, Robert Austgen, who is an emergency physician at St. Francis, are proud parents of three children, Lucy, Ben and Sam. Dr. Austgen and family are members of the Greenwood community. They are looking forward to watching their childrens participation in local activities grow. Together, as a family and with friends, she enjoys watching sporting events, being outdoors especially during lake season, and catching a great concert when time allows.
Claire graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Waynes dental hygiene program in 2016. She started her hygiene career working at the office with the late Dr. Tim Weeks after graduation. She began working with Dr. Austgen in 2018 and is proud to call Austgen Family Dental her work home. Her favorite part about her career is getting to know her patients and educating them about their oral health. When not taking care of patients, she is most likely baking chocolate chip cookies and spending time with her husband Jimmy and their son Emmett.
Samantha began her dental career as a Hygiene Coordinator in April 2016 for Weeks Dentistry and has happily continued on with the Practice through its transition into Austgen Family Dental in February of 2018. She attended High School at Indian Creek of Trafalgar, Indiana and completed multiple courses of Business entailing goals and prosperity, growth of small businesses at IUPUC and continuing education online via Kaplan University. Samanthas most enjoyable times at AFD are working with a strong and confident group of team members who strive for patient wellness and community growth. Preserving our environment, supporting local Humane Societies , and traveling and playing her Viola are amongst her most favorable past times.
Shelby joined our team in July of 2020. She has worked in the dental field since 2007. She enjoys the fun, positive and team-oriented environment that Dr. Austgen provides at Austgen Family Dental. She loves being outdoors, gardening, and spending time with her family. Shelby and her husband Andrew have one son, Cooper.
Valerie is an expanded functions dental assistant. She joined Austgen Family Dental in December of 2019. Valerie has been in the dental field for over 15 years after graduating from Dental Careers Foundation in 2005. Since then, Valerie earned her x-ray license and certificates in coronal polishing and fluoride from IU. Valerie's favorite part of working at Austgen Family Dental is working in a positive atmosphere with great women and admires that Dr. Austgen loves to learn and grow in Dentistry with new technologies and products. In Valerie's down time, she loves spending time with family, her husband Sam and two daughters: Jayda and Lucy. Valerie also loves to read books, go hiking, eat good food and coffee and visit with friends and family as often as possible.
Jennefer graduated from the dental hygiene program at Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2007. She met Dr. Austgen in 2014 and was able to reunite with her at Austgen Family Dental in 2019. Jennefer's favorite part about working at Austgen family dental are the relationships she has with patients and the team. She feels blessed to be able to work at such a wonderful practice with wonderful people veryday. She really enjoys and has a passion for her career. In her free time, she spends it with her family. She has 4 beautiful children. They are always on the go with activities and sports. They love visiting her parent's lakehouse whenever they can and swimming at their pool. The Dilks love camping and visiting different parks around Indiana.

Not sure why doctor didn't help with pain they cleaned teeth. Told me I needed tooth removed and implant. Yes I agree but endo prescribed antibiotic for pain until I see them. Why didn't doctor help with pain.. after 5 days on antibiotics I have no bleeding . Plus her referral can't see me until end of October. If it was such an issue she would have refused me for immediate to be seen.

Dr. Austgen and her staff are very knowledgeable and pleasant. Her staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Dr. Austgen spends plenty of time with patients and ensures all questions are answered. Other than not having an automatic front door, this facility is very accommodating to people using wheelchairs. The exam rooms are large enough for a power wheelchair to fit, and there is ample accessible parking. The waiting area is pleasant and large enough, and the check out desk is lowered to seated hight which is nice for people using wheelchairs to see when paying for services and signing documents. The music in the facility is subtle and pleasant. All of the staff are helpful and nice, and they are willing to work with you to ensure your needs are met. I highly recommend them for anyone who is looking for a dentist, or who is not happy with their current one (which sparked my change to Austgen Dental).

Dr. Austgen and her professional and competent team are a pleasure to visit. When I need work done they greet and treat me as family. A joy to work with. Bob Rini. Went to my favorite dentist, Dr. Austen, with a tooth problem. She always recommends the most practical and cost effective options. I love the experience of visiting her and her talented and experienced staff.

Claire is the absolute best. Dr. Austgen and her staff make going to the dentist less painful. They are alway courteous and Samantha always remembers us, and is easy to work with when schedules need to be changed. We will stay as long as they will have us! Thank you!!

Very friendly and courteous staff. They are outstanding, as is their service. I feel very comfortable here as they explain what service they are going to preform and what options you may have. They also spend time checking in on you through out the service procedures. I feel they take adequate time with patient so you don't feel rushed.

This place is excellent! You can tell they have a great work environment and team because everybody is always genuine and pleasant from start to finish. As anxious as I get about going to any dentist, I know I'm in good hands here!
