Excellent doctor and team! They were able to fit me in for an emergency visit, which is so appreciated. The entire staff was extremely professional and made me feel very comfortable. Thank you!!

We had same issue as few others reported here about how much more you end up paying then what they are telling you once doctor examines and what their "estimates" are....for us it was a LOT MORE. We called the office multiple times to ask for cost estimates to extract wisdom tooth. We were told you come to the office, doctor will look at it, we will call insurance company and will give you your out-of-pocket expense and you pay the balance right after the work is done. As many here have said expect to may LOT more (for us cost almost doubled then what the office told us it would cost). We get a bill in the mail so called the office, the staff attitude is very aggressive. We were told the manager will call you back. the manager never called us. We get another bill and another intense phone call that is rude. Never make this mistake again and definitely NOT recommend this place. The Doctor was nice and my wife's tooth extraction went fine....but cost was way too much and staff can learn to be a bit friendly til the end...not just the the start.

Went to my primary dentist and they referred me to Dr. Perkinson. He just happened to be in the office when they called (he wasn't supposed to work today) and said he would stay to extract my tooth. I don't know any doctor who would do that. He was absolutely wonderful! I was in and out quickly and painlessly.

Dr. Perkinson is a fantastic and skilled oral surgeon. Our daughter had 4 wisdom teeth extracted at the same time and she didn't experience any issue afterward. The staff is very nice and helpful explaining thoroughly what we had to do before and after the procedure. Highly recommend Dr. Perkinson and the office of Aurora Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery!

Do NOT call this Dentist office if your a new patient. I called this office to have a tooth extracted and was in extreme pain. This faciliy does not accept my insurance but I provided them an alternative in which they could contact my insurance company. A day and half later and no call from the office to indicate if they will accept my provider or not. In the meantime I sit waiting in pain. When I reached out to the office for an update the girls in the office sounded like they really did not want to bother with my sitiuation. Office Manager Diana is rude and will cost this office many new patients. Will definately not refer this place to anyone.

I have met with Dr. Perkinson twice; once for our daughter several years ago and once today for my own appointment. His staff was very responsive, very helpful in getting me in for an urgent appointment and Dr. Perkinson was knowledgeable, thorough and incredibly helpful. Highly recommend Dr. Perkinson and his office!

Dr Perkinson worked on my wisdom tooth removal. I am usually very nervous when it comes to dental work but he made me feel very comfortable. He operated effortlessly without causing any pain to me. Unfortunately I later got a painful dry socket. But even then, Dr. Perkinson accommodated me at the last minute and got me fixed.

Where to begin... the aesthetic of the office, the front office staff, the nurses, the doctor... I cannot say enough entirely great things about this entire office. I was referred to Dr. Perkinson by my dentist for wisdom teeth surgery. Also, one of my family members had been seen by him before and raved about him. Once I had my consultation, I knew I was going to be in great hands (nurses and doctor included). Everyone was so very kind and helpful upon answering questions about the surgery. Day of the surgery, I felt at ease and my anxiety went away went I sat down in the chair. Professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly caring. Those are three words to describe this office. I was so pleased with how my surgery went and to have received a call from the doctor later that day while I was at home after the surgery. I have no doubt in my mind that anyone who steps foot into this office will feel at ease and welcome! Shout out to EVERYONE working at Aurora Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery- keep doing what you're doing and creating such positive experiences for your patients.

I'm not one to write reviews, but I will always give credit where credit is due. Dr. Perkinson and his staff are top notch. This doctor spends time with you, discussing the procedure and all that comes with it thoroughly, and leaves you feeling like you and your loved one are in good hands. Even more time is spent after the procedure. His bedside manner could be in a dictionary (or maybe Google;) under the definition of "Bedside Manner". Fantastic experience here...I highly recommend!

PLEASE READ. DO NOT GO HERE. After having my consultation I felt pretty good. Took 5 years to build up courage to get my wisdom teeth removed. I was told I would be given several minutes to relax on nitrous before hand as I have an extremely phobia of the dentist. (I get panic attacks during regular cleanings) I arrived 3 mins late due to traffic. After 30 seconds of being on nitrous they immediately went to put the IV in my arm. I asked to please stop so I could have more time to relax. They were upset I didn't take the IV right away so they turned the nitrous off and moved on. (I do understand they have a schedule to get through which in turn made me feel more upset for wasting time) The nurses did try their best to calm me down but it's very hard to with extreme phobias. After 15 mins the doctor came back in and I explained why I was getting so upset. During my consultation I was told one thing but during the actual appointment it was nothing like they had said. I am 21 but my mother was with me, they should have gotten her at this point. He said I was a liar and he never would let someone on nitrous for 15 mins. Which he did tell me I would get several minutes to relax on it..which didn't happen. I will admit fault that I was wrong for name calling, however panic attack (full blown hyperventilating, shaking, sweating) mixed with someone not willing to help = me feeling absolutely helpless and alone. He was being extremely rude and wasn't helpful in calming me down. They even told me my heart rate dropped and immediately picked back up when I was trying to explain things to him. Calling patients a liar and getting snotty with them is so unprofessional. Then he kicked me out and said "you can find someone else to deal with you." As I rush out, still panicking, my mother had no idea any of this was going on. The doctors claim to care about patients but they do NOT. I am a very cooperative person however, this is a phobia. Not a fear. We went here with expectations of them being well aware of anxiety & phobias but they only see it as you being over dramatic. I will never ever recommend this place and I hope for the sake of you well being, anyone reading this doesn't go there either. These people need to be more patient and educated on anxiety, PTSD, and panic attacks. I feel so traumatized and personally attacked all because I had a human response to something absolutely terrifying.

*Carolina Dr Perkinson is literally the best doctor and surgeon ever! I got four of my wisdom teeth out and two were impacted. He did it super fast and made me feel super comfortable. You can tell that he cares a lot about his patients and about his profession. He is super smart and super energetic. And all of his staff was attentive and well-organized. I'm usually a super nervous person and for this procedure I was super relaxed. Amazing job!

I got all 4 wisdom teeth removed today. After having many infections due to my wisdom teeth and putting it off due to my fear, I can say if I knew it was going to go this well, I would not have waited so long. Dr. Perkinson & nurse Susan were phenomenal. I have very bad anxiety when it comes to any dental work and told them that upfront. They were extremely calming, caring, compassionate. Literally have zero complaints about anything. The actual procedure was so fast and seem less it seemed. I'm 8 hours post-op and I have no pain just more tenderness/soreness. I 100% believe if you go to a surgeon that knows what they are doing and have been doing it for many years it makes all the difference. Thank you so very much to Dr. Perkinson & Susan & the rest of the team you all were amazing. I would 100% recommend going to this office!

We chose this office, as my daughter (see Lex review) has extreme anxiety with dental procedures. We were assured they knew what to do, explained how they would help, etc. I had NO idea that for over an hour my daughter was having a full-blown panic attack until she came running into the lobby. They were not focused on my daughter as a patient, but as a slot in the time. I get my daughter might require more time with the calming gas than you had allotted, but then tell us up front. Better yet, recognize when someone is having a panic attack and seek their support system out. If you would have come to get me, this would probably have ended much better. By the way, please also get your patient's name correctly. Twice during the consultation we told you her name was not Alex. Her name is written on her chart, but when you went to greet her this morning you again called her by the wrong name. I even jokingly pointed that out to your secretary, that you couldn't get her name right. You say you care, and maybe you do as long as they fall into your schedule and expectations. Shout out to Fairview Dental who we see every 6 months. They understand dental anxiety and have successfully pulled teeth, filled cavities, etc. They work with my daughter, and I didn't realize how lucky we were till today. For your references a panic attack can be trembling (which is why she couldn't lay still), rapid heart beat, feeling like you can't breath, anxiety. Classic symptoms that you should have recognized.
