Dr. Belani graduated from University of Bombay in 1971. After that, he went on for graduate training in Periodontics at Nair Hospital Dental College. He has been on faculty of University of Illinois College of Dentistry in department of Periodontics since 1974. He received his fellowship from Academy of General Dentistry in 1990. He is a member of many dental associations; some of them including the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Fox River Valley Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
He is also a past president of Indian Dental Association. Dr. Belanis goal is to help people have and keep beautiful smiles. He is passionate about staying current with continuing education to ensure that his patients receive the best possible care. His hobbies are traveling, sports, and reading. He has two children who are also dentists.
Dr. Khare has a real passion for the dental profession. She keeps up-to-date with the newest developments and technologies by taking continuing education courses and attending dental forums. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, and American Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Khare focuses on comprehensive oral care while keeping all her patients desires and needs in mind.
Dr. Karan graduated from Northern Illinois University with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. He then attended Indiana University school of dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2013.
As a dentist Dr. Karan is really passionate about the dental profession and loves interacting with his patients. He makes it his main priority to carefully understand his patients oral health care needs to help them achieve a smile they have always dreamed of. He also focuses a lot on educating his patients to achieve optimum oral health, and stays current with the upcoming technological advancements so as to provide quality oral health care. Dr. Karan is a member of American Dental association, Chicago Dental Society, Illinois state dental society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Kapil Vij is originally from India and immigrated to the US at the age of 16. He attended Glenbrook South in Glenview where he graduated cum laude and was awarded first place overall and second place state science olympiad. Dr. Vij was awarded the Roger Adams Scholarship in Chemistry, Distinction in Research and a Deans List during his bachelor of science in Biology.
Dr. Vij completed his specialty training of Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2007 at Jacksonville University. He is currently on staff with UIC as Clinical Assistant Professor. Dr. Vij consistently demonstrates thoroughness and keen diagnostic acumen throughout all aspects of dental patient care. He continues his education by teaching residents at the University of Illinois, which keeps him challenged, which he particularly likes.
During dental school, Dr. Vij was the recipient of numerous academic awards. These awards include the prestigious status of distinctive awards such as the Oral Maxillofacial Radiology Award, American Society of Dentistry for Children Award, and the American Dental Association - Caulk/Dentsply Research Award.

From easy parking to friendly office staff, every part of visiting Aurora Dentrix was wonderful. I had a wonderful cleaning and the experience was seamless. I could not recommend visiting this office any more!

I had to get a crown done -- it was my first and Dr. Karan was friendly and talked me through the whole process . He was awesome and did a great job I don't feel I have crown on my tooth.I completely agree with all the positive reviews here about the office, the staff, the music, etc. and highly recommend Aurora Dentrix especially Dr. Karan

This is by far the best dental experience I've ever had! I'm not a fan of going to the dentist but they make sure that you are comfortable, calm, and they take great care of you.

We picked Aurora Dentrix without really knowing much about them but I'm extremely happy with our experiences. I love the in and out approach, we come in and get our cleanings quickly all at once. Having an Orthodontist available has been a life saver, the payment plan is awesome and I'm happy my son gets the opportunity to have braces and improve his smile. Everyone is so nice and wonderful! Seeing the dentist isn't always a good experience but Aurora Dentrix has changed my views on seeing the dentist, I actually look forward to our appointments! I would recommend them to everyone.

Although my child did very well, I was a bit put off by the assistant wearing her gloves from room to room. I had to ask for a prophy. The assistant brushed his teeth prior to the dentist entering even tho my child brushed prior to coming. They did very well with handling my child's needs and I was just happy with that. There is a sign on the door saying masks are required by patients. There was one woman in the waiting room without a mask and no employee seemed to be bothered by that. I get that they aren't required other than medical/dental offices, but come on, ask the lady to wear a mask to protect the rest of us sitting there.

I moved to IL almost 11 years ago, I needed dental work, but I didn't imagine most of my teeth would be removed and my front teeth crowned - it was no longer my smile. I went to Dr Karan for a broken crown in January, and 6 months later I walked out of his office today with a full mouth of teeth and my original smile! He saw me through every step, and worked with gifted hands to restore what had been taken from me so long ago! The entire staff is kind, accommodating, and compassionate. Dr Karan and his team are amazing! My smile was taken from me, Dr Karan gave it back to me!
