Dentistry is Dr. Nick's calling and he knew even as a child that he had a passion for dentistry. He has been caring for patients in the Mat-Su Valley for over 6 years and has been a Dentist for over 18 years. Dr. Nick still has the same passion for patient care as he had when he graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy. Using state of the art materials, equipment and technology, Dr. Nick provides the highest level of excellency in dental care.
Dr. Nick has dreamed of creating a practice that is small enough to provide each and every patient personalized, quality care that meets their specific needs. He strives to get to know all of his patients as well as possible to better serve their dental needs. He believes that at the heart of a successful Dentist is the connection to the patient. Together with his highly dedicated team of professionals he is thrilled to be creating the practice of his dreams, committed to serving our patients.
Dr. Nick and his wife live here in Wasilla with their two children, dogs and cat. Dr. Nick is an involved member of our community and has been active in coaching youth sports, offering education in our local schools, and reading for Dr. Suess Day. He is a current Board Member for youth baseball and Colony Knights softball. He generously gives support as his schedule permits.

Dr. Oxspring graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Biochemistry and then attended dental school at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. One of the highlights of dental school for Dr. Oxspring was being able to spend a week in Tonga offering free dental care to those in need. Dr. Oxspring loves learning about the latest dental technology to help make your visit more enjoyable and stress-free. He believes every patient should be treated like family and that going to the dentist doesnt have to cause anxiety. He shares the Aurora Dental Care belief that going to the Dentist should be as painless as going to visit friends.
Dr. Oxspring enjoys all aspects of general dentistry including tooth-colored fillings, crowns, bridges, veneers, root canals, extractions, and dentures. He especially loves treating emergency patients to tend to their needs and get them out of pain quickly. He is able to connect with people of many backgrounds. Dr. Oxspring enjoys establishing connected relationships with his patients to better understand their oral health needs not only as patients but as people. One of his favorite things about practicing dentistry is the opportunity to meet and care for entire families.
Dr. Oxspring lives in Wasilla with his wife and two sons. They love to get outdoors to explore the beautiful state of Alaska. When he isnt treating patients Dr. Oxspring enjoys photography, exploring new restaurants, serving with the youth at church, traveling, hiking, and spending time with family. His wife Katie has a passion for volleyball and is the head volleyball coach at Wasilla High.

Thank you for a wonderful experience today. I was worried at first transitioning from my childhood/adult dentist of almost 40 years to a new office, but everyone made me feel welcome. I am glad that I made the choice to join Aurora Dental, and I'm hoping to get the rest of my family established here as well.

This is my first time to the office. The office was very clean and appeared well organized. The Staff were friendly and professional. Dr. Nick Methven had excellent bedside manner. Jeana cleaned my teeth and she really took her time and explained what she was doing along the way. I returned in 2 days for a temporary crown. The procedure went very well with very little discomfort. Xochilt Was the dental assistant and she took her time and made sure the temporary crown had a perfect fit.I would definitely recommend Dr. Methven and Aurora Dental Group.

I can't say enough about Dr. Nick and his staff. I have extreme dental anxiety and they always make me feel comfortable, calm and explain everything to me. Many times I've had dental emergencies and they have gotten me on right away and made me feel taken care of. They are on top of insurance and billing and I know what to expect each visit. I will not go anywhere else.

I had an awful experience at Aurora dental with the office manager l. The way she talked to me was uncalled for she treats me red meat awful all due to insurance. I have dental insurance but it was an insurance they bought longer took I called in before my appointment and I gave them the information the girl told me if there was any issues they would call. To me that would mean if you did not take my insurance please call me to inform me saying I remember what insurance companies you are or are not in network with when I started 2 years ago does not apply l. My insurance paid but since Aurora was out of network they can charge a larger amount owed to patient in which they did. The office manager would not work with me at all she only gave me the you owe the full amount within 90 days. I would have never had x-rays done that day if I had been told any of this a head of time. I will not be returning and I will let others know who I know are patients what my experience was.

They treat with compassion & dignity. We have been coming here since 2009. We visited others but were not treated nearly as well. We could not be happier here. Professional staff, very clean, & palliative for emergency or routine visits.
