Having grown up in Stevens Point, Dr. Michael Hom, D.D.S. is ecstatic to be in his childhoodhome and be an active participant in our communities of Stevens Point, Auburndale, and Plainfield! From 2002 - 2011, he trained for and practiced General Dentistry in the Minneapolis, MN metropolitan area. While there are many rewarding aspects to providing care to our patients, he believes that each individual patient presents with their own unique anxieties and dental concerns. Dr. Michael's passion in dentistry is to offer a gentle, caring, and comfortable environment where patients can achieve their own dental health goals. To help ensure that our patients can attain those goals, Dr. Michael continually invests in dental education courses from manynationally respected educators every year.

Dr. Michael Hom, D.D.S. completed his undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN and graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2006.Since graduation, he has completed advanced coursework in cosmetic dental restoration,implant placement and restoration, temporal mandibular disorders (TMD) and obstructive sleep apnea disorders. He also helped spearhead planning for the initial 'Give Kids a Smile Day' program for a large group dental practice in the Twin Cities, donating much needed dental services to many underserved children in the surrounding communities. He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association and the Portage County Dental Society.

When Dr. Michael is out of the office, he does enjoy being active. He lovesto golfbut spends more time hitting shots out of the trees than the fairways. He enjoys the challenges of each round andloves the focus that each shot takes to perform. Any outdoor activities pique his interest, but most enjoys taking his young son, Ozzy, out for walks with his wife, Quyen. He and his familylookforward to seeing you out in the community!

Siu-Lin has been involved with Hom Family Dentistry since its inception in 1978. She received her education at the University of Minnesota graduating with a dental hygiene degree and a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Dental Practice Management. After moving to Stevens Point with Dr. Hom, she worked as a dental hygienist. She now oversees the administrative areas of all three offices.

Val has been with Hom Family Dentistry since 2005 as a dental assistant. She is happy to continue her role with our practice to prepare andassist our patients and team for any situation. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially the satisfaction she receives from helping patients achieve their dental goals. She is married with two young children and loves the pleasures of being surrounded by family.

Lynnette has been serving our patients and assisting our team for over 10 years. She is an enthusiastic and energetic team member that is well-trained to help our patients coordinate and attain their most perfect smiles. When she is not at the office assistingour patients, she is busy with her family and all of their activities as well as cheering on the Brewers and catching a live concert whenever possible!

Joanne has been with Hom Family Dentistry since 1983, at our Stevens Point and Plainfield offices, starting her career as a dental assistant. She went on to complete her degree in dental hygiene and is now a Registered Dental Hygienist who continues to be a great resource and team member to the practice. She excels at helping patients achieve their best possible dental health through education and quality care. Outside of the dental office, her friends, family and world travel are what keep her grounded.

Melissa has been at the Auburndale Dental Clinic as a Registered Dental Hygienist and receptionist since 2002. She enjoys the opportunity to educate patients young and old and getting to know them on a personal basis. She is the proud parent of two active young boys. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and has an immense love of books.

Amanda has been with Hom Family Dentistry since 2016 one of our wonderful Dental Hygienists. She is Registered Dental Hygienist that is passionate about her profession and strives to make each patient's oral health better with each and every visit. She brings a warm and upbeat attitude to our office that our patients appreciate. Asan ardent Packer fan, she and her son can be found cheering on the Green and Gold loudly and proudly on fall Sundays!
