Dr. Joseph M. Haynes is the periodontist and surgeon who oversees all clinical care at Auburn Periodontics and Implants. Dr. Haynes obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the College of Dental Medicine at Columbia University in New York. After dental school he completed three additional years of advanced training in periodontics as a resident at the Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Haynes is also licensed to perform IV moderate/conscious sedation and is ACLS (advanced cardiovascular life support) certified.

Born and raised in Puyallup, Washington, Dr. Haynes was excited to return to the Puget Sound area to practice. When not at the clinic, Dr. Haynes enjoys volunteering time in support of local non-profit organizations and spending time in the quiet Browns Point neighborhood of Tacoma with his spouse and their five dogs.

Over the last three decades, our patients have come to know Ginnie as one of the friendly faces in our front office. She helps patients navigate scheduling, financial arrangements and the insurance process. Fiercely loyal to our patients, Ginnie has earned their trust time and time again.

Michelle builds long-lasting, genuine relationships with every person who comes through our doors. She has been part of our Auburn dental team for 27 years and she feels like family to many of our patients.

Ali is a dental assistant who has specializedin periodontics since 1979. As one of the very first employees at this clinic, having worked for three periodontists since she began here, our patients have a deep trust in her experienced and caring hands. She studied dental assisting at Bates Technical College and graduated in 1978. She is committed to working alongside Dr. Haynes to provide the very best care to each and every patient.

Ali and her husband have two sons and two grandchildren with whom they enjoy regular vacations and trying out new recipes. And, like everyone else at the clinic, you wont find Ali without her dogs by her side! She has an Australian Cattle Dog named Addy and a Cairn Terrier named Tuffy.

Karla started working at our clinic in 1991 and the first periodontist was her trainer. She loves the family atmosphere of Auburn Periodontics and Implants, which has kept her committed to continue practicing her profession as part of our Auburn dental team over the last 27 years. Her goal is to help patients feel the same way when they come to us for care. She finds it rewarding to have shared so many experiences with so many patients who feel at ease in our clinic.

When she isnt at work, Karla enjoys being a wife, mother, and especially a grandmother to eight grandkids! She stays busy on her mini-farm in Enumclaw with her two horses, Cooper and Abby, her Boxer dog, Brandi,her cat, Harley, and her few chickens.She loves working out, hiking, and traveling. Life is good in Karlas world!

Karlee has been a dental assistant since 2003. Her priority as Dr. Haynes assistant is making sure our patients feel comfortable and calm during their time with us. In addition to working in our Auburn clinic, Karlee volunteers with Dr. Haynes at the Christ Community Free Clinic in Auburna clinic that offers medical and dental services to our communitys most vulnerable and financially-needy members. She says, Dr. Haynes is a fantastic periodontist to work with; I enjoy working with him and our team every single day.

Sara attended Shoreline Community College and Seattle Pacific University, and she has been a dental hygienist for over 27 years. She has been charming patients and the rest of the Auburn dental team at Periodontics and Implants since 2016! She values patient comfort and provides the highest quality cleanings. Sara finds herself at home in a team of professionals whos a primary goal is patient comfort and helping others through what is often an anxious part of their healthcare routine.

Sara has a natural curiosity about the world around her, which keeps her busy reading and exploring new ideas and theories about both the fringe andmundane. She scrapbooks, stamps, and enjoys time with her family. Sara and her husband share their home with their sassy dog named Chippy!

Jeannine attended Washington State University and completed her training as a dental hygienist at Clark College. Prior to attending Clark College to pursue a career in dental hygiene, Jeannine worked as a dental assistant. She first started working at Auburn Periodontics and Implants in 1981 when it was opened under the first owner/periodontist, and she has worked here under the supervision of three different periodontists since then (with the exception of a one year stint working as a hygienist in Switzerland!).

After growing up in the Tacoma area and graduating from the University of Washington, Tyler began his career at the University of Washingtonfirst in public health research at Harborview Medical Center, then as Clinical Quality Improvement Manager at the University of Washington Medical Center. He wears many hats here and is rarely seen doing the same thing from one day to the next, butnever hesitate to sit down for a chat with him!

Heis a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) by the National Association on Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) and he hasa Master of Social Work and Bachelors inSocial Welfare from the University of Washington School of Social Work. He is a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Health Sciences fromthe A. T. Still University College of Graduate Health Studies.

Tyler lives in Dash Point, a neighborhood in Northeast Tacoma, with his husband, Dr. Joseph Haynes. When not at the clinic, Tylerenjoys spending time with his spouse and five dogshiking, running, and exploring all that is great and beautiful in the Pacific Northwest.
